OF THE
TIMES
Briefly stated, the Gell-Mann Amnesia effect is as follows. You open the newspaper to an article on some subject you know well... You read the article and see the journalist has absolutely no understanding of either the facts or the issues. Often, the article is so wrong it actually presents the story backward—reversing cause and effect...
In any case, you read with exasperation or amusement the multiple errors in a story, and then turn the page to national or international affairs, and read as if the rest of the newspaper was somehow more accurate about Palestine than the baloney you just read. You turn the page, and forget what you know.

Could it be, that agri-giants like Monsanto, in their innate preference to please and protect the public are purposely designing these seeds to wash off into the waterways as a bug-repellant? Of course, with the dry spell this year, the West Nile Virus isn't mentioned much, but it's still nice to know our agri-giants have done their civic duty to help us in our time of need. Free bug spray that gets coated on the skin with just a little dip in the river, and if you drink some, no doubt the protection goes in with you. How wonderful is that!
As for that 'glyphosate', no doubt it too has hidden benefits for the consumer.
