Lawmakers plan to form a cross-party panel to probe potentially dangerous unidentified anomalous phenomena

Japanese lawmakers are planning to establish a bipartisan group within the country's parliament (Diet), aiming to change the government's approach to investigating sightings of unidentified anomalous phenomena (UAP), the formal term for what were previously described as UFOs, Japanese media reported this week.

According to reports citing the panel's founding statement, it will be called the 'Diet Members' League for Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena Clarification from a National Security Perspective.'

The group's members believe some UAPs could be weapons or spy drones that use advanced technology, and may therefore pose a threat to national security, local media says. The group reportedly plans to push for parliamentary legislation aimed at tracking and probing UAPs. At a press briefing on Friday, Japanese Chief Cabinet Secretary Yoshimasa Hayashi confirmed lawmakers' plans to establish the panel.

The U.S. government's Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena (UAP) office, known as the All-Domain Anomaly Resolution Office (AARO), has informed Liberation Times that it has received no information or reports regarding apparent drone incursions over Langley Air Force Base in December 2023.

One witness, who provided testimony to the FBI and captured the objects on film, reported sightings of orb and saucer-shaped objects circling and hovering above and near the base on 14 December. As of now, the United States Air Force (USAF) has not disclosed how these objects were classified as 'uncrewed aerial systems' (UAS), their origin, or the identity of those controlling them.

An AARO spokesperson told Liberation Times, 'AARO has not yet received a report or any information on this incident.'

Although the USAF would not be expected to report identified objects to the AARO, it is unknown how they were identified as drones.

Furthermore, other reported UAS incidents have been reported to the AARO, such as the drone swarms over U.S. naval assets in 2019, which were classified as UAS at the time, despite never being positively confirmed as such.

According to one intelligence source who spoke to Liberation Times, the USAF might have chosen not to share information with the AARO due to a perceived lack of trust in its efforts and genuine intent in solving cases in good faith.

BBC journalist Tim Leach was allegedly threatened by the U.S. Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) while reporting on a 1994 Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena (UAP) landing case at a school in Ruwa, Zimbabwe.

The case involved 62 students from Ariel School in Ruwa, who reported seeing a disc-shaped craft land in a field behind their playground on 17 September 1994 - some students even claimed that humanoid beings emerged from the craft.

Following the incident, the BBC's correspondent in Zimbabwe, Tim Leach, visited the school to investigate the case.

After filming a report and sending the tape to London to be aired on the BBC, the tape went missing. That meant Leach had to file a separate report.

Liberation Times can reveal that according to a source who wishes to stay anonymous, Leach confided that he had received threats from the CIA. Leach indicated that the CIA was interfering with his story.

The source also provided Liberation Times with audio of a conversation with Leach from 1994, in which the journalist, sounding rattled, warned them to "be very careful."

The Vatican is preparing to release a document giving guidance on how to discern supernatural phenomena.

The Holy See Press Office announced the upcoming document will be published May 17 with a live-streamed press conference featuring Prefect for the Dicastery for the Doctrine of the Faith Cardinal Víctor Manuel Fernández.

Fernández has previously said the dicastery is "in the process of finalizing a new text with clear guidelines and norms for the discernment of apparitions and other phenomena," according to the National Catholic Register.

Comment: A rather notable development considering the increasing acknowledgement of the existence of UFOs in the mainstream; comments from exorcists that exorcisms are not only on the rise, they're taking longer to complete; and alongside the flagrant diabolical nature of popular culture.

Has the U.S. government secretly retrieved exotic craft of "non-human" origin? Newly declassified documents, along with extraordinary legislation, illustrate how two successive Democratic Senate majority leaders appear to have believed so.

Notably, Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) and the late Sen. Harry Reid (D-Nev.) were not alone in their focus on UFOs. The Democratic heavyweights received critical support and encouragement from a bipartisan group of high-profile senators over the years, including former fighter pilot and famed astronaut John Glenn (D-Ohio); Ted Stevens (R-Alaska), who observed a UFO as a World War II pilot; Daniel Inouye (D-Hawaii), then-chairman of the Senate Appropriations Subcommittee on Defense; 2008 GOP presidential nominee Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.); Senate Intelligence Vice ChairmanMarco Rubio (R-Fla.); Kirsten Gillibrand (D-N.Y.) and Joe Lieberman (D-Conn.).

In late 2011, for example, the top scientist at the Department of Homeland Security met with Lieberman, then chairman of the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee, and Reid to discuss the establishment of an ultra-secret UFO program.

As outlined in remarkable detail in newly released documents, the intent of the proposed program was to "gain access to and inventory" UFOs secretly under "investigation in National Laboratories, government organizations and/or contractors."

The Pentagon is lying about UFOs

Congress held a historic hearing on UFOs last July. The hearing, which featured testimony from two former Navy fighter pilots and a former senior intelligence officer, garnered a notable amount of attention and interest not seen on Capitol Hill in years.

In one remarkable exchange, Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-Fla.) described how his office received a "protected disclosure" from Eglin Air Force Base, Florida, regarding a January 2023 UFO incident over the Gulf of Mexico. After being stonewalled by the Air Force, he delivered a tense, on-base reminder to the military about "how authorities flow in the United States of America." The Air Force relented, permitting Gaetz to review sensor data gathered during the encounter.

According to Gaetz, fighter pilots tracked four unknown objects flying in a "clear diamond formation." Notably, the incident occurred on a training range typically conspicuously free of any airborne clutter.

Still imagery indicated that one of the objects demonstrated capabilities that Gaetz, who has served on the House Armed Services Committee for nearly a decade, was "not able to attach to any human capability, either from the United States or from any of our adversaries."

Radar data, according to Gaetz, showed that the four objects moved in a "very clear formation [with] equidistant" separation.

Recently, as a result of a FOIA request, the Department of Defense released some Signal exchanges I had with Dr. Sean Kirkpatrick, former Director of the All-Domain Anomaly Resolution Office (AARO). The release surprised but did not offend me as I'm a strong supporter of government transparency. However, it also reminded me of another Signal message that the public might find of interest that is also pertinent to the alleged recovery of off-world technology.

Out of respect for the author's confidentiality, I've been sitting on this message for a number of years. I have also redacted portions of the document to protect the identity of the author. However, I recently obtained the author's written permission to release it. It has also now been approved for public release by the Defense Office of Prepublication and Security Review (DOPSR). My purpose in releasing this document, in the wake of the government's blanket denials regarding the possession of off-world technology, is simply to help others understand why I and some others consider these allegations worthy of investigation.

UFOs are no laughing matter on Capitol Hill. Beyond alleging the existence of surreptitious government programs to retrieve and reverse-engineer exotic craft of "non-human" origin, Congress mandated that the Department of Defense document and report any UFO incidents "associated with military nuclear assets, including strategic nuclear weapons and nuclear-powered ships."

Lawmakers are right to focus on the nexus between UFOs and nuclear technology. Many of the best-known and most credible unexplained sightings occurred in alarming proximity to our most sensitive nuclear assets and facilities.

In 2004 and 2015, for example, U.S. Navy fighter jets flying off nuclear-powered aircraft carriers recorded the three UFO videos that catalyzed significant public and congressional interest in the phenomena.

But interactions between UFOs and ultra-sensitive U.S. nuclear assets date back nearly eight decades. New Mexico, ground zero for America's nuclear weapons development programs, is the site of a remarkable number of baffling, unsolved UFO incidents.
