I would say about 40% of the population are felons and that doesn’t mean their all bad people and can’t be trusted. When a person goes amuck and gets put into jail does his time and pays the fines. Then gets out to put their life back together society still punish them till they die, is that fair ChewyBees?
Prisons are like hospitals keep the beds full so they can make more money, your tax dollars at work. The cooperations are making money hand over fists, you should buy some stock.
I mean, I know lots of felons may have been wrongly imprisoned and are heart good people but my thinking was that a stint in the pokey was more likely to teach (and reward them) for learning to survive in a predatory environment than make them into model citizens.
I think released convicts should have a good and fair shot at a rewarding life but surely making them responsible for the safety of dozens of people in a vulnerable position on a daily basis may not be the smartest way to keep people safe and ex-cons away from temptation.
