Comment: Turkey is losing its footing in Northern Syria as the US, Russia and the Kurds seem to have other plans for a transition and way forward. Turkey is adamant against having a Kurdish-dominated territory on its border, with Manbij is a key piece in its OES strategy. There is also the possibility that IS fighting in particular against the Kurds, along with its long-held control in Manbij, has been a cloaked boon to Turkey's self-serving agenda.
