President Trump's executive order signed in late January stopped refugee entry across the board for 120 days, eliminated refugee entry from Syria indefinitely, and blocked the entry of all immigrants from seven majority-Muslim nations (Iran, Iraq, Libya, Sudan, Somalia, Yemen and Syria).
On Feb. 3, U.S. District Judge James L. Robart ruled that the order was unconstitutional and this decision was later upheld by an appeals court. President Trump subsequently expressed dismay saying that the country's safety is at risk due to the court's decision.
"Our legal system is broken! '77 percent of refugees allowed into U.S. since travel reprieve hail from seven suspect countries,' Trump tweeted a week after his executive order was blocked, adding, "SO DANGEROUS!"
State Department figures as of Thursday night show that 53 percent of refugees allowed into the country since Feb.3 have been from the seven nations the Trump administration marked as particularly dangerous. This amounts to 2,303 refugees from the seven Muslim-majority countries.
Six-hundred and seventy-three refugees have arrived from Syria, 624 have come from Somalia, 642 from Iraq, 238 resettled from Iran, 126 from Sudan and none from either Yemen or Libya. In total, 4,344 refugees have resettled since Judge Robart blocked Trump's travel ban.
The White House did not immediately respond to a request for comment. The Trump administration is expected to sign a revised executive order on immigration and refugees soon.

I can't make sense out of the confusing descriptions, all described as immigrants. Why so many?
Even if they are permanent they are not. Even if they have green cards they are not permanent.
Why not publish the number of citizens each year that are naturalized? Wouldn't that make sense?

The other day I gave a copy of my ss income--my only income-- to the health care agency that billed me for $80 and I got a letter back saying I needed to send a copy of my deed--Ive owned my home for 3 years---,provide a copy of my mortgage statement with current balance, and recent property tax statement, prove I have applied for Medical assistance but my ss is deducted for Medicare as everyone knows, give copies of all of my bank accounts AND every transaction, and a copy of my 2015 Federal Tax return which of course I filed expecting such requirements like this for a 70 year old on ss only.
I think maybe I have furnished sufficient but clearly understand that the hurdles people must now accomplish are connected to the so-called medical insurance which is a scam to attach debt and medial liens against elderly property for children's medical bills as the reverse mortgage scam did not produce significant revenue.
Shame on Congress for such a parasitic scam to grab elderly housing. And this on top of paying monthly to the hospital for the $500 still owed when I was hit in the crosswalk by a truck's driver I did not sue nor criminally charge. To my knowledge he suffered no detrimental legal or financial action nor is being held accountable for the hospital bill, altho I paid over $500 in combined fees I squeezed out of my ss while in recovery.
