If, indeed, the cause of prostate cancer is loss or lack of testosterone, then what is counter-intuitive about putting back testosterone to bring back the body's balance?
More scary, to me, is that the first thought toward treatment (we can't say "cure") was to starve the mechanism of testosterone unless, at that time, the testosterone link hadn't been discovered; but, it sounds like it had been found or at least suspected.
That last item about the funding issue is always so comforting.
