Investigators of the incident are saying that the US troops may have been murdered, Fox News reported.
A surveillance video and witness accounts have shown that the servicemen were shot by a guard without being provoked, the media outlet added.
The troops were on a training mission in Jordan and came under fire when they were entering a military facility.
Earlier media reports indicated that trainers were fired on when their vehicle failed to stop at the gate of the King Feisal Airbase near the town of Manna.
One Jordanian officer was also reportedly wounded, he sustained a bullet injury in the neck.
The US Department of Defense has previously said it was working with the Jordanian government to clarify circumstances of the incident.
