On Wednesday, Russian President Vladimir Putin held a video conference with Argentinian President Cristina Fernandez de Kirchner.The two presidents laid out plans for development of trade, expanding economic ties and the expansion of cooperation in investment.

Earlier on Wednesday, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov commented on the upcoming conference call. "There will be a video conference with Kirchner, president of Argentina, dedicated to the anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Russia and Argentina. This is quite an important date, therefore the heads of state agreed to hold a video conference," Peskov told reporters.

Putin and Kirchner met previously in April in Moscow. The sides signed a number of cooperation deals and confirmed that the bilateral ties between Russia and Argentina were strengthening.
