...saying this for years. Agricultural production rose through the latter half of the twentieth century due to slight warming associated with the Grand Solar Maximum but more importantly increasing CO2 levels which rose from a local low point in 1957 after falling from levels higher than today at a local high point in 1942. Other factors include improved processes, land use, fertilizer and varieties.
The big problem we have now is global cooling as we descend the downside of SC24. It will become noticeable fairly soon, within the next two to three years. Thereafter it gets bad. There will be three main impacts on food produciton: 1) Reduced productive agricultural areas in the higher latitudes. 2) Reduced length of growing seasons in higher and mid latitudes. 3) Falling atmospheric CO2 levels. When the oceans warm they give off CO2. When they cool, they absorb CO2. Paleo-historically CO2 levels are very low and not far above the level at which life would be extinguished. They are not likely to fall so far but a fall to the levels last seen in the mid 1950s could reduce agricultural production by an additional 15% globally.
The disgraceful fraud of the globalist AGW movement is going to lead to catastrophy in the coming years. Even if the psychos in Washington fail to cause global conflict in the Middle East, Ukraine or elsewhere, collapsing agricultural production may accomplish the same thing without any help from them. In fact it has been suggested that the AGW movement is part of the globalists de-population program and certainly it seems that it will have this effect over the coming decade.
