Puppet Masters
The US government was partially closed down as of Monday midnight after the two houses of Congress failed to agree on the spending bill.
Jones told Press TV that if the Republican majority in the House of Representatives holds together opposing the Affordable Care Act, widely known as Obamacare, anything that the Democrats would put forward will not pass the chamber.
House Speaker John Boehner is resisting President Obama's major demand, which is the full implementation of his healthcare reform program, in an effort to get "some kind of compromise," he added.
The GOP-controlled House is pressuring the president to at least delay his health program for one year, arguing that the plan is too costly. But Obama and other Democratic leaders oppose any delay or amendment of the bill, saying it's beneficial for millions of Americans.
President Obama has said in an interview with the Associated Press that Boehner is the "only" obstacle to ending the government shutdown.
He said on Friday that there are enough members in the House to reopen the government but "the only thing that is keeping that from happening is Speaker Boehner [who] has made a decision that he is going to hold out to see if he can get additional concessions from us."
Since the government shutdown, more than 800,000 federal workers have been furloughed. Despite public pressure to reach a resolution, the lawmakers have not yet reached a deal to fund the government.

This little hawk and those of his ilk seem to be disintegrating by the minute. People don't be fooled now by those still lying in hiding. The true power of change is in You, All of Us!
"lost his ability to govern" really means that he neglected to pass his "Affordable Care act" while congress was on vacation!
"...the lawmakers have not yet reached a deal to fund the government."? Seriously?, you mean the government that is funded by our tax dollars? The government that is still funding global mass murder and police state militarization here at home. The lawmakers that use our tax dollars to fund the 'too big to fail' banksters and Insurance/Investment companies. The lawmakers that have now added 800,000 people to long list of unemployed.
Maybe a 'government shutdown' is not such a bad idea, if it were done for the benefit of the those that actually fund the government, and we started hacking away at the top. Furlough the lawmakers.

Oh, was he 'governing' before the 'shutdown'?
I thought he was just busy all this time implementing the murder of masses of innocent people, facilitating the ethnic cleansing of Palestinians, and furthering the destruction of numerous countries around the globe simultaneously, including the one in which he lives.
