Initial Meteor Sighting Reports

8 March 2013 - Jeff Massecar, Toronto, Ontario, Canada 21:15
2 seconds duration. S - N direction, I was facing west. It was a bright streak with a little bit of orange. As bright as a street lamp and it had a tail, very cool!
8 March 2013 - Gayann Reynolds, Oxford, Missouri, USA 21:15 EST
5 seconds duration - E-W direction, from my left to right. White color and orange flames. It was a bright as the moon. I saw flames!
8 March 2013 - KP, Rosemont, Ontario, Canada 21:15 PM EST
3 seconds duration. Direction: south to north. From my left to right, I was facing west. It was green and white, like fireworks.
8 March 2013 - Cheryl Stafford, Bradford, Ohio, USA ~9:20 pm ET
1-2 seconds duration. North direction, from my right to left. I was facing Northeast. It was a vivid green color with an orange sparkling tail. It was brighter than any star. The orange sparks in the tail were relatively low on the northeast horizon.
8 March 2013 - Maia & Leah, Cleveland, Ohio 21:15
3 seconds duration. South-Northwest direction. It was white and yellow, flickering brighter than Venus. Very exciting!
8 March 2013 - Jennifer, Romeo, Missouri, USA 21:15
3 seconds duration. South/Southwest-North direction, from my left to right. I was facing West. White color with yellow. No sound. It was as bright as the moon. I didn't see any fragmentation but a tail was visible. A little bit scary but cool!
8 March 2013 - Jamie Richardson, Kokomo, Indiana USA 21:20 EST
5-10 seconds duration. I was facing northeast, it traveled from right to left. Red and orange colors. As bright as Venus or a bit bigger. I saw fragmentation. I thought I was looking at a falling star at first. It shot across at a steep angle and the grew brighter and then fragmented and then disappeared. There was no sound.
