Beyond the old margarine commercial's warning that "It's not nice to fool Mother Nature," we're now learning that it's also dangerous to fool with her.

She doesn't take kindly to puny old mankind's absurd attempts to manage the climate through laws and treaties.

A case in point is Mother Nature's icy blast on the heels of the Denmark conference on global warming, a gigantic hoax now known as "climate change," because it starting getting colder around what the superior class calls the fin de siecle - a Frenchified way of saying the turn of the century.

As the delegates met and dined well and drank well - thanks to the generosity of their country's national treasuries - while hearkening to the wisdom of former Vice President Al Gore, in the words of the old song, "Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow. The weather outside [was] frightful."

Greeting Gore was a blizzard that his followers claim no doubt resulted from global warming. No kidding. That's what some of them are saying. It was so warm it snowed.

Back here at home, the Christmas season got going with widespread snowfall that buried the nation's capital under almost 2 feet of snow. Dallas, which hasn't experienced a storm of blizzard proportions in 80 years, got socked with record snowfall. On Christmas Eve, half of the United States was covered with snow, according to an image that the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration released.

Iceagenow.com chronicles those weather phenomena from last week, including the biggest snowstorm in Oklahoma history; drifts forecast to be up to 10 feet; snow closing I-5 in Southern California; a blizzard paralyzing Kansas City, Omaha, and Sioux Falls; a record-breaking storm shutting down the federal government.

Here we go again, warns meteorologist Joe Bastardi of accuweather.com: "Severe cold looming for much of Europe first two weeks of the New Year!"

"The major population centers of the northern hemisphere are now facing cold of a variety not seen in over 25 years," Bastardi said. "The first 15 days of the opening of the New Year will be the coldest, population weighted, north of 30 north worldwide in over 25 years, in my opinion."

"Severe cold is likely to cause major hardship across much of the continent. . . ICE not fire may be the bigger worry for causing hardship on the planet's life by 2030," according to Bastardi's blog.

While Mother Nature is on this rampage, the U.S. Senate is getting ready to pass the so-called cap-and-trade bill, which will cripple the economy and drive tens of thousands of jobs abroad in pursuit of fighting global warming that is under way only inside of the rigged computer programs of the corrupt scientists riding the taxpayer-financed gravy train with Gore's hand on the throttle.

Somebody needs to tell the members of the upper body that baby it's cold outside - and it's not nice to fool with Mother Nature.
