Ironic: The role of variants in driving Covid surges is good news for sceptics

As an addendum to my piece yesterday on the evidence for variants driving Covid surges, a comparison between India and neighbouring Bangladesh is illuminating. Once again, the curves below are the positive test rate and they are superimposed on the graphs of variant proportions over time from the CoVariants website.

India

India has had one large surge in 2021 so far, occurring in spring and associated with the Delta variant (which was first identified there; in dark green). It has had no summer surge, and no new variant since.

Bangladesh

Bangladesh, on the other hand, has had two peaks in 2021, a spring peak associated with the Beta variant (light red) and a summer one associated with the Delta variant.

Beta appears to have been pushed out by Delta in India during the spring, whereas Bangladesh was hit by the two variants in succession.

The presence of two peaks associated with two variants in Bangladesh, in spring and summer, contrasted with the single peak in India in spring associated with one variant, is further evidence that variants are key drivers of surges.

Identifying variants as key drivers of Covid surges does not in my view support the lockdown narrative that sees 'scariants' as reasons to maintain Covid restrictions and keep pushing endless vaccine boosters. From a sceptical point of view a big advantage of recognising that variants are key drivers of surges is that it implies that the rises and falls in infection curves are not primarily related to imposing or lifting restrictions but to the arrival of new variants and the subsequent re-establishing of herd immunity to the virus.

To illustrate, here are three U.S. states which famously lifted restrictions despite dire warnings of what would happen if they did. (Note: the curves here, from the CDC, are for raw numbers of reported infections rather than the positive rate.)

Florida

Florida lifted restrictions in autumn 2020 and went through the winter with no state-level restrictions. Yet its winter wave peaked and declined just like those in lockdown states. There was a small peak in the spring, but this was associated with the Alpha variant (dark red), not with the lifting of restrictions. This too declined, before the appearance in summer of a large surge associated with the Delta variant, which is now in decline. The imposing or lifting of restrictions played no part in this pattern, which is very similar to elsewhere.

Texas

Texas had a large winter wave, after which the state lifted restrictions in March, which led to no new surge. A slower decline in spring might be associated with Alpha but there is no clear peak. Come summer, however, and there is a big new surge associated with the arrival of Delta.

Mississippi

Mississippi also lifted restrictions in March and saw no new surge, with only the slightest bump in the spring being discernible, associated with Alpha. Come summer, however, and there is a big surge associated with Delta, now in decline.

With no restrictions in place, the lifting of restrictions in these states cannot be blamed for causing the summer surges just as the imposing of restrictions cannot be credited with causing the falls. Instead, what we have are further examples of a surge occurring upon the arrival of a new variant and shortly peaking and dropping, presumably as herd immunity to that variant is established. This is very helpful for explaining the behaviour of the virus and why it has little or nothing to do with the imposing or lifting of restrictions.

Questions:

If they can't isolate the Covid virus, how do they know there is a variant?

If you don't comply, who is going in and releasing the so-called variants?

All these surges and no flu. We at least we know they've isolated the different flu strains....right?

What if covid shot, combined with a later added flu shot, creates the so called variants?

In conclusion:

I've seen little to no proof of Covid or deaths, since TV isn't really allowed in hospitals to cover what's really being said. I've seen wokies and nutzies everywhere amazed at all the weird shit that's happened to them after being vaxed, and still think it's good for them. I've seen testimonials of vaxed people who have suffered from the vax.

Yet, to be honest and thinking about this rationally, Is any of this proof of anything? So stepping back two more steps, I can say 100%, I don't know anyone personally who has had covid (although Inlaw said they did and were really sick and they didn't believe in covid either but do know, although they were PCR tested, so to me could have been severe flu). I do know people who've had the shot and didn't feel well afterwards and 1 person through my wife who lost an 8 month pregnancy within a week of getting the shot. I see normal people everyday acting strangely, always trying to avoid people, at any cost. Then the herd all goes to the grocery store, of which I've seen no line ups in several months now. Surely to change now that the election is done and government moves full steam ahead to marxist facism.

Oh Canada, my home and forsaken land. No patriots, yet under our sons command. With gloomy hearts we see the fall, the once true north, strung out and no longer free, And stand under guard Oh no Canada, we stand under your guard for who? The rest of which has been so bastardized by the LGBTXYZ bastards I don't care anymore. The anthem was the anthem, it wasn't there for them to F@#$k with it. But I digress...

On TV, well, that's just talking heads or max headroom. There are bunch I can't stand seeing anymore, talking anymore or that stupid zoom on air static anymore. It makes me angry and mad, simply to have to hear any of it. It's a constant drone to a club of people whose club I no longer care about (Covid, Green, Global warming, Financial meltdown, etc). No one goes to prison for their crimes and lies and deceit, even when it's blatantly pointed out in advance or after the fact. TV truly is Tell a lie-vision, each channel used to Channel the next bit of psychological programming be it, in your face (repeatedly), subtly or subliminally. So very little to no truth other than the truth being, it's mostly lies created to deceive.

This article, like all the others posted here are coming fast and furious, from all angles. The basic tone (constantly) is oppression, control and death, except for the odd puppy story. That's not a bad comment on SOTT either. Can't imagine the shit they wade through just to post the stories we get here. It's all debbie downer stuff, a lot is programming and fear based. A lot is also just not true, but good or bad scifi. The real news is what we each can individually taste, touch, smell, see and hear first hand. We are so confined now that most can't see the once gentle, now abusive controlling hand pushing us to the brink. Satan's end game.

So lets walk the path of truth together, support each other where we can and keep the truth out there for all to see! It's gonna get darker in October, not because of the time change, but because it's Satan's month. Be aware, don't take things for granted and try not to be deceived or to deceive. :ets face it, there is enough of that going on.

So to all my fellow SOTT comment folks, one of my last, hopefully untainted real people, if any of you are truly real (I hope so!), in these truly strange days, possibly our last of days. I want to thank you for....just being there, real or not. Thanks for sharing and most importantly, thanks for listening. Unfortunately and fortunately, 2000+years in the future, there will be nothing to be dug up, except maybe some silicone, plastics and dust. No words. It's meant to (and better) be that way. Who would want to really know about this shit show in the future.

JTF Truth My cousin and her husband (both early 50s and morbidly obese) caught Covid while on vacation in Alaska. Mild symptoms, full recovery. A close friend (female, over 300lbs) got Covid last December and survived and was later vaccinated had no hospitalization or major complications. According to everyone, she should have died. Her only remaining symptom is parosmia. Nothing has smelled right ever since. Coincidentally, another friend who is generally healthy got the vaccination in November and developed anosmia (complete lack of sense of smell) and only just recovered it about 2 weeks ago. My father in law's girlfriend who is immuno-compromised and in her 60s just recovered without hospitalization. Another friend (male, early 40s) had a rough case of Covid back in February with later pericarditis. Neither his wife nor his kids got sick.

I'm just so damned fed up. I'm not anti-vax. I'm in RFK Jr.'s court, vaccine safety is important, but vaccines have saved far more lives than they've taken. My health decisions are not up for public debate when we're talking novel therapies with less than 2 years of publicly available data (DARPA has been working on mRNA vaccines for the better part of 2 decades and I think the world would love to see that data).

This isn't about public health. Our government doesn't give a shit about public health, otherwise we wouldn't have this abhorrent insurance system that we do and there would be no such thing as "pre-existing conditions." This is 100% about control, divide and conquer. This is the 2nd American Revolution. Tim Pool recently pointed out in an interview with Russell Brand that the first American Revolution happened over 20 years , not over a period of weeks or months. All the big battles we read about were far apart. It was a generational revolution. And we'd best remember that as this young ignorant generation leverages very powerful technologies to basically erase the past and anyone who disagrees with them. They are no better than ISIS bombing ancient historical sites.

Demore Thanks! The joke isn't on us, it's on the rest who can't see. The system is so corrupted that it's corrupting our dreams or corrupting us so we can fulfill our dreams. That's when I gave up on the dream (it was becoming a nightmare) and moved to hope, which is even less fulfilling. Then I had an epiphany one day about truth, and I re-found faith, which I is much more soothing and fulfilling than any dream or hope I had. Funny how that works out.

What you say about the leaders is so true. The last 2 years are like a slow moving ominous repeating dream. This can't be happening, yet it is. I've always had this awareness about my self, and where I am in this universe. I've also known that those around me don't have this awareness, in the sense that they are aware of it, but gave it up to fit in with the others, the rest, the sheep. If you mention it to them, they poo poo it, down play it. Most people here have it, some don't. So we are like the few, the black sheep. The ones who can see through the illusions around us. The wise ones.

Artex Thanks! Good to hear your personal stories. I know I rambled a bit, I guess I should have summed up my thoughts about people around me a little better. As every circle (sphere) around each individual is different. One of the points I was trying to make, was that if this was truly a pandemic and people were dying like they told us they would, then more people in my sphere would have gotten sick and or died (me included). It just didn't happen. What did happen, was exactly what I read (researched). It's like a mild flu year, where some people die, the elderly and infirm.

I'm fed up too. I go from 1 to 100 mph when I here the ~~news~~ /propaganda on the TV or radio. Almost blew a gasket when this person was looking into his camera telling the news person, the Covid passport isn't against your charter of rights and freedoms. If he was in front of me I would have strangled him, while telling him, neither is this, what I'm doing to you. Moron. I quickly changed the channel to something more mindlessly apparent,

The controllers learned back in the 60's, better to give the younger generation more rope, to hang themselves with, in their drive to some ideology that's a dead end, set-up by the powerful families that control it all. They don't give a shit about anyone, but themselves. They don't give a shit about Billy gates either. Their wealth is so vast it's only important to understand that they exist and pull the strings. Including the strings of the younger generation speeding carelessly towards the concrete wall. It's totally normal for cv to mutate rather quickly. There is a "Delta" branch to the sarscov2 genome but it's not static. Every host infected releases trillions of poor copies. Some will be more effective at spreading to the next host, some variations are less or even completely useless.

It's why ILI's are so effective and why our healthy immune systems are so good at dealing with them.

DeliciousTears Yes, the common cold virus mutates quickly. More quickly than the flu. They told us that in the fall of 2019. The ex-Exe from Liezer even told us that when a strong virus mutates, it becomes weaker with each subsequent mutation. Which makes sense.

Now the fact that they are calling things A, B, C, D... or 1-2-3 variants is pure horseshit. Counts like this are so they can keep easy track of things. Science (normal science) doesn't usually roll with sequential naming conventions, especially when different people from different countries have different views. So this naming convention the "Politicians" are using is highly suspicious. Plus, where is the proof of the actual virus, where are the samples?

But here's one company called BEI. There are more than a few. Just order the actual entire text of a sarscov2 study and at the end they usually list exactly where they got their equipment and biological samples. When I was an undergrad many decades ago we would order plant viruses from a paper catalog that were shipped to the pathology dept where I worked doing grunt tasks....

I would not suggest trying to actually acquire this unless you want to meet federal agents in your area....
