A calf with two heads and four eyes was born in China, leaving locals baffled
Footage has emerged of the young cow born with two heads and four eyes that is still alive.

In the clip, the calf can be seen resting on a bed.

All of its eyes are open as both heads lay down to rest.

The heads, which only have one ear each, appear to be working normally.

And the people around it are in shock at the bizarre sight.

This calf was born to a cow in the town of Yangdachengzi, Siping City of north-east China.

The double-headed creature is believed to be the result of a genetic mutation developed during the embryonic stage of development.

Reports say the animal was born on December 2, but it is still unclear how long it has survived.

And it has quickly become the talk of the town, local media saying villagers have been eagerly documenting the unusual calf.

Social media users say the prospects of a mutant animal surviving are low, though.

A similar case emerged in July when a two-headed calf was born in Brazil.

But that animal was not so lucky, dying hours after the birth.
