Comment: One of the biggest lies of the past 80 years has been that the U.S. establishment values basic human rights. They don't. It's easy to virtue signal when your 'enemy' does something morally reprehensible. It's somewhat harder to completely manufacture atrocity propaganda when they're not in fact being evil - but that doesn't stop the U.S. from doing that too. But the lie is exposed whenever a U.S. ally flagrantly kills civilians, reporters, medics, children - whether it's Israel or Saudi Arabia. And then the U.S. self-image as a supporter of freedom and human rights is exposed for what it is: a total myth upheld by the most morally reprehensible hypocrites.
