You would think that they realize that they are strengthening their opponent, in this case, Russia. Why would you do that? Especially before you start the usual war script? Mindless, yes; self-defeating, yes; but they have to know that they have more to lose than their opponent, which will only use this against them? Seems to be the normal practice of spoiled kids that grow up without being held responsible for their actions. Not that most Americans pay attention anyway, mostly distracting themselves with net games, stupid animal or people videos etc.
