Creatonotos gangis moth,

The Creatonotos gangis moth is found in Australia and parts of Asia.

This creature may look like an alien from a sci-fi movie - but, terrifyingly, it's completely real.

A brave eyewitness opted to film a short clip of the animal rather than fleeing for their life.

It shows the creature slowly turn around, sending a smaller insect scurrying away.

The animal then stands still, flexing its giant wings.

Since the video, filmed in Indonesia, was posted on Facebook, people have been wondering what the hell it could be.

It has since been revealed to be a Creatonotos gangis moth, which is found in Australia and parts of Asia.

And it's a lot bigger and more angry-looking than the moths you might find flying around your bedroom.

Footage of the animal, which has a distinctive orange colouring and large tentacles that are used to attract mates, has been viewed millions of times on Facebook.

One user advised the person who filmed the video to 'give him the keys and tell him the house is yours', while another compared it to a Pokemon.
