I remember back in the early 2000's, I read an article discussing a new technology that allowed basic dial up internet connections to run faster then broadband speeds. It was just an advanced form of encryption that allowed this. I recall the article saying this technology could be available within a year, saving people money. Lots of money. Yet where is it? Gone, maybe bought and put up, maybe all records destroyed and those who developed it silenced. Who knows?
