Nicaragua accuses Germany of facilitating genocide and failing to prevent the commission of genocide at The Hague.

Nicaragua accused Germany on Friday of enabling genocide in Gaza in a lawsuit brought before the International Court of Justice (ICJ) for supporting "Israel" and blocking financing for the UN Palestinian refugee agency.

The Central American country officially filed a case at the ICJ against Germany for supporting "Israel" financially and militarily.

"Germany is facilitating the commission of genocide and, in any case, has failed in its obligation to do everything possible to prevent the commission of genocide," Nicaragua asserted in a petition issued by the court in The Hague.

In early February, the Nicaraguan government started proceedings to take Germany, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, and Canada to the ICJ for their complicity in the genocide against the Palestinian people in Gaza by providing the Israeli occupation with the weapons and means to carry out the horrendous act.

The executive authority in Nicaragua published an official statement in which it revealed that it warned the governments of said Western powers that they might be jointly complicit in the "flagrant and systemic violations" of the Convention on Prevention and Punishment of the Crime of Genocide and international humanitarian law in the Gaza Strip.

Nicaragua urged the four states to immediately cease the provision of arms, munitions, and technologies to "Israel", because it might use them to facilitate or commit violations of the Genocide Convention in Gaza.

Nicaragua asked the court to take immediate interim action against Germany before the issue was thoroughly investigated by judges.

The filing of the complaint comes after the ICJ stated on January 26 that "Israel" must do all that is possible to avoid genocidal crimes in Gaza and take "immediate" measures to allow humanitarian assistance.

That interim injunction was issued as the court prepares to hear the main case filed by South Africa in December, alleging that "Israel" was committing genocide in Gaza.

"Israel" has dismissed South Africa's claims and called them distorted.

EuroMed calls ICJ members to cut all ties with 'Israel' over genocide

The Euro-Mediterranean Human Rights Monitor previously called on all member states of the ICJ to sever all forms of political, economic, and military relations with "Israel" due to its blatant violation of the court's decisions calling for the cessation of genocide in the Gaza Strip.

This call was based on the belief that the continuation of these relations constitutes support and endorsement of an Israeli violation of the International Court of Justice's decision. Such support, the observatory said, encourages the occupation entity to persist in its genocidal actions against the Palestinian people.

EuroMed also condemned "Israel's" repeated violations of the court's order, as well as its breaches of the Genocide Convention ratified by "Israel".

Amnesty International and Human Rights Watch this week warned that the Israeli occupation was violating the International Court of Justice's interim injunction by restricting humanitarian supplies to Gaza.

Humanitarian agencies providing aid to Gaza reported that even convoys that have received prior clearance from Israeli authorities have been consistently obstructed or targeted with gunfire.
