The scandal uncovered in the DNC email leaks is truly monumental. However, it risks being buried by the diversionary tactic of constructing a foolproof propaganda line of Russian state hacking, a manufactured "scandal" that can then be used to justify extending anti-Russia sanctions, continue the military build-up on Russia's borders and pressure hesitant countries into compliance. This is the real motive - exerting unwarranted U.S. influence on foreign states - not the mythology of Russian bullying and coercion.
Hillary Clinton and her hangers-on in the Democrats have been caught red-handed with their hands in the cookie jar. The corruption, dirty tricks and game-rigging to make sure corporate America, Wall Street and the Pentagon's candidate of choice, Hillary Clinton, became the Democratic nominee for the presidential election are almost embarrassing to watch.
Once caught, did they "fess" up to their gross deceit and corruption? Not on your life. Hillary's lair of liars doesn't do confessions and apologies, just crooked deals and political sabotage. As if reading from a script prepared in advance, they played the Russia card: the Russians hacked us!
Dutifully, Hillary Clinton's useful idiots in the media, as Alex Christoforou perfectly describes them, suspended disbelief to take us on a dizzying ride of Hillarity with their outlandish accusations that the Russians hacked the DNC database in order to, wait for it ... install their puppet Donald Trump in the White House.
Clinton's useful idiots are acting in the way you would expect for a bunch of sycophantic fools who have been exposed as press agents for Clinton and blatantly biased against Bernie Sanders. If there was even a modicum of objectivity, we could expect the media to provide amplified coverage of the deceit within the DNC against its own presidential candidate. But, alas, on this, there's just silence. The CIA would be proud of their efforts.
For those who attempt to place the focus back on the DNC scandal, I warn you: you will be brutally attacked for simply performing the role the cowards in the US media should be performing, for fearlessly uncovering lies and deception and speaking truth to power. Dare utter one word and you will have the dagger of "Putin apologist" hurled straight at you.
And heaven help anyone in the mainstream media with a conscience (an oxymoron I know) who may be tempted to speak up against the corruption of the US political system that mocks any claim of acting in the interest of anyone but the tiny filthy rich elite. This is how self-censorship operates. Overt instruction isn't even necessary. The implicit message is abundantly clear: take your spot in the orchestra of parrots, or you will be banished to the wastelands of ridicule, vitriol and scorn.
The new standard bearer of flawless evidence is typified in an NBC article, "Why Experts Think Russia Hacked DNC emails." Let's take a look at some of the gems they came up with in their "investigative reporting."
The hackers "cease operations on Russian holidays, and its work hours aligned with a Russian time zone." Well I am glad to see we have some advanced industrial relations in Russia. Don't work too long now, boys.
The hackers "left a digital fingerprint, one cybersecurity expert said, perhaps on purpose: a signature in Russia's Cyrillic". You see what happens when you spoil hackers with holidays and regular work hours? They make amateur mistakes. How convenient for our Inspector Clouseau cyber sleuths.
"Given their mutual and very public bromance, Putin would much prefer a Trump presidency to a Clinton one". Putin says it is not Russia's business who wins the election; it will seek harmonious relations with whoever becomes President. That could be a bit tricky with someone who calls you Hitler and is itching to drop nuclear bombs on your head, but that does not necessarily imply Putin was behind the hack. That would require actual evidence.
"[T]he email hack is exactly the kind of thing Russian hackers can do, are supposed to do, and are used for by Putin and his aides, retired four-star Adm. James Stavridis told NBC News." Stavridis is right at home as a Pentagon war hawk, prattling on about Russian "aggression," its "invasion" of Ukraine and "annexation" of Crimea. True to form, more baseless accusations from the US military elite. As many commentators have pointed out, sure, the Russians can and probably do hack the correspondence of foreign politicians (so does the U.S.!), but so do countless other agencies and individuals. Julian Assange said the "DNC has been hacked dozens and dozens of times; even according to its own reports it has been hacked extensively over the last few years." So, it is obviously a free for all. Come on in, hackers, the clueless rabble at the DNC are open for business. So again, that doesn't imply the Russian government sent the files to Wikileaks. That would require actual evidence, which brings us to...
"Forensic evidence" points to Russia, according to the DNC's own contract cybersecurity firm, Crowdstrike, which was co-founded by Dmitri Alperovitch. That is the same Dmitri Alperovitch who is a senior fellow at the Atlantic Council, NATO's de facto think tank. I am sure Crowdstrike was pressured to come up with the right answer to who hacked the DNC. Credibility gap, I hear you say.
Edward Snowden says the NSA could easily determine who hacked the DNC. Clinton's useful idiots in the media questioned this. NSA whistleblower William Binney said Snowden is right and the MSM is clueless. Binney acknowledged Russia probably did hack the DNC, but was there a check on others who may have hacked in through the gaping hole where their cyber security should have been. Incompetent, negligent and corrupt are the words that spring to mind when thinking of Clinton and her minions. Binney continued on with the inconvenient truth of evidence and logic, asking if there is evidence that Russia downloaded and subsequently sent the emails to Wikileaks. So far, nope.
The real story that the MSM hacks should feast on for the coming months is the disgraceful behaviour of the DNC in making sure Wall Street's candidate got the nomination. It is hardly surprising that Clinton's useful idiots are giving us a bellyful of laughs with their Putin-Trump bromance, as they are employed by the mega media empires, the very people Clinton is in her own little romance with.
Just to be crystal clear, the key issues are:
- The DNC operating one lousy data security system
- Clinton lying, cheating and manipulating her way to winning the Democrat nomination
- An abysmal attack on Bernie Sanders and a betrayal of his loyal supporters
- Collusion with the MSM who eagerly acted as press agents for Clinton
Why is it a good thing that the email leaks threaten to derail Clinton's campaign? What is the threat of Clinton? Her despicable laughing at the brutal execution of Muammar Gadaffi, her backing of war on Iraq and the Afghanistan surge, threatening to nuke Iran, calling for the overthrow of Bashar al-Assad and the destruction of Syria to aid Israel, whom she backs in its brutal apartheid regime against Palestinians. On top of this she compared Putin to Hitler, hardly the words of someone who said she wanted to "reset" relations with Russia. In short, she backs policies that have resulted in the deaths and displacement of millions.
