Despite international appeals, Turkey will continue its attacks on Kurdish positions in northern Syria, German newspaper Deutsche Wirtschafts Nachrichten (DWN) wrote.
This was announced by Turkish Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu in a telephone conversation with German Chancellor Angela Merkel (CDU), as his office announced on Sunday.
According to Davutoglu, Turkey wants to prevent aggression on the side of Kurdish fighters. He also warned Merkel of a "new wave of hundreds of thousands of refugees" from Syria if Kurdish fighters start an offensive.
"Our security forces have given the necessary response and will continue to do so," Davutoglu told Merkel.
The Erdogan government is the last hope for Merkel to solve the refugee crisis, and therefore she has to silently watch his uncontrollable behavior, the newspaper wrote.
The US and France have called on Turkey to stop the attacks on Kurdish positions in northern Syria, but so far without any positive results.
NATO should kick-out and then declare war on Turkey, as it is the tip of the spear when it comes to threatening Europe.
