A storm warning is declared in Moscow and the Moscow Region, Moscow Bureau of Meteorology reported. According to the weather forecast, a cold atmospheric front is heading to Moscow from the South-West. Thunderstorms, heavy showers and wind reaching 40 mph are expected in Moscow within a few hours.

Blasts of wind have already risen to 45 mph near the Vnukovo Airport, RBC reported. Earlier there had been weather forecasts about such weather changes in Moscow: a sudden change of heat into cold leads to thunderstorms and a strong wind. Furthermore, storm warnings were declared in other regions of Russia: the Leningrad, Pskov, Vologda, Nizhni Novgorod, Chelyabinsk Regions, the Republic of Bashkortostan, the Republic of Altai, the Altai Territory and some of Siberian regions. Today is forecast to bring showers and thunderstorms with strong blasts of wind. Hail is possible in some of the areas.
