Police in Louisville, Kentucky, have arrested a man for shooting three men dead in a bar. The killer apparently struck without motive, and some commentators have accused the press of burying the story.

Michael E. Rhynes Jr, 33, was arrested just after midnight on Saturday and charged with three counts of murder, after he allegedly walked into Bungalow Joe's Bar and Grill, pulled a handgun, and shot three men dead at point-blank range.

"Nobody had ever seen this guy before," bar owner Joe Bishop told WRDB News. "It was a totally random act. I didn't think I'd be scrubbing blood off my patio on a Saturday morning."

Canceling Beethoven is the latest woke madness for the classical-music world

Think some things are so beloved and essential to Western civilization they can't be canceled? Think again.

If there's anything we should have learned from months of "mostly peaceful" Black Lives Matter street protests, statue toppling and online mobs seeking to silence anyone who dissents against leftist narratives about "racism," it's that no one, living or dead, is safe from the attentions of woke fascists. Even Ludwig van Beethoven.

Beethoven's work is not only at the core of the standard repertory of classical music; some of his most popular works have also become part of popular culture, their melodies recognizable even to those who've never heard an orchestral concert.

Comment: Much as the Maoists of the Cultural Revolution in China sought the destruction of the Four Olds (Old Customs, Old Culture, Old Habits, and Old Ideas), modern radical leftists seek the same. That something as harmless as lyricless music, which arguably has no interpretation beyond the subjective experience of the listener, could be on the chopping block, while audacious, shouldn't really be surprising. The left wants to cancel everything that could be considered a part of the world's heritage and they won't be happy until every indicator of human progress has been destroyed.

'White privilege'? Working-class white kids most disadvantaged in UK schools as system prioritises minorities, report

White working-class children have been systematically disadvantaged in the United Kingdom as educational institutions prioritise children from minority backgrounds, a report submitted to the House of Commons Education Select Committee found.

The research revealed that working-class white students are 50 per cent less likely than their minority counterparts to score strong passes in the eight General Certificate of Secondary Education (GCSE) exams used by colleges and universities to determine an individual's academic level.

In 2019, the progress score in the GCSEs for white pupils fell, while almost every minority group improved.

Trump, BLM, the election: American's opinions in this weeks Rasmussen polls

American flag
In surveys last week, this is what America told Rasmussen Reports:

- President Trump ended the polling week with a daily job approval of 53%.

- President Trump has been nominated for the prestigious Nobel Peace Prize following the new U.S.-brokered peace deals in the Middle East. Americans are evenly divided over whether he deserves it.

- Most voters believe there is a war on police in America today and want to make attacks on cops punishable as a hate crime. Blacks worry most that these attacks will make their communities less safe.

- Democrats and Republicans are a lot more eager to get involved financially and otherwise in politics this year.

Americans have little confidence in coronavirus vaccine

trump
[Screenshot from the video] Sixty-nine per cent of Americans do not trust the president to assure them about the efficacy and safety of a coronavirus vaccine
Despite president Donald Trump's claims that a coronavirus vaccine will soon be available, new polling shows that a majority of Americans have no confidence in him to confirm that it is safe.

An ABC News/Ipsos poll released on Sunday shows that 69 per cent of Americans do not have confidence in the president vouching for the effectiveness of a vaccine โ€” 53 per cent saying they have no confidence at all in him doing so.

Comment: Since when was Trump, or any President, responsible for the effectiveness of a vaccine? Isn't it more likely that a great many Americans simply don't have confidence in the US manufactured coronavirus vaccine? Because they'd be right to think so: AstraZeneca suspends US COVID-19 vaccine trial amid serious concerns, trials continue in South Africa

Conversely, just nine per cent of Americans have a great deal of confidence in the president to confirm the effectiveness of a vaccine, and just 18 per cent have "a good amount" of confidence.

Officials call COVID-19 the 'largest mass fatality incident in modern NYC history' - no mention of lockdown?

New York City
The number of deaths reported to the New York City Chief Medical Examiner's Office more than doubled amid the coronavirus pandemic โ€” described as "the largest mass fatality incident in modern NYC history" in the mayor's new management report released Thursday.

The number of deaths reported to OCME skyrocketed from 30,964 in fiscal year 2019 (July 1, 2018 to June 30, 2019) to 65,712 in FY 2020 (July 1, 2019 through June 30), "corresponding to the surge in NYC deaths during the pandemic," the annual report on city services said

The number of cremation applications reviewed by the ME also jumped from 17,148 to 27,863 from the prior year.

The number of remains stored in the morgue also surged from 11,281 to 17,606.

Conversely, the number of autopsies performed actually dropped from 5,399 to 4,884 as most forensic labs were closed and staff reassigned to handle the increase in dead people sent to the morgue โ€” many expired COVID-19 patients sent directly from hospitals and nursing homes.

Comment: In other words, many deaths attributed to covid, but few autopsies to actually confirm cause of death. NYC indeed saw a significant spike in mortality, but only a portion of that can reasonable be attributed to covid-related deaths. The lockdown itself arguable caused many, if not most, of these deaths.

'F**k you and your dog!': Antifa gang attacks car with hammers, threaten dog inside

The temper of a mob is fickle, as a group of Antifa protesters have demonstrated in Philadelphia. In an apparent case of mistaken identity, the mob chased one of their own with hammers, smashed his car, and terrorized his dog.

Comment: That's the way mob justice works, but you have to break a few eggs to make an omelette, right?

The leftist protesters gathered in Philadelphia's Clark Park on Saturday to protest a rally organized by the right-wing Proud Boys. As conservative commentator James Klug was talking on camera to the leftists, one masked man approached him with a baseball bat and slammed it into the ground beside him.

According to Blaze TV's Elijah Schaffer, the mob mistook the bat-wielding man for one of the right-wingers, and chased him out of the park, to his car.

Surrounding the vehicle, the masked mob smashed its windows with hammers and kicked in its panels. Though the man can't be seen inside the car, Schaffer claimed he was the same man who was chased out of the park, as did journalist Kalen D'Almeida.

As the rioters pounded on the car, a dog inside began barking, lunging for the smashed rear window and snarling at the mob. "F**k you and your dog," one man shouted as the driver pulled away.

Comment: Fine people.

After wildfires caused a rare break in rioting, demonstrators in Portland resumed their nighttime activities, this time targeting an Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) facility. They were swiftly pushed back by police.

Portland has been a hive of unrest since the death of George Floyd earlier this summer, with demonstrations only pausing when wildfires encroached on the city over the last week. However, the blaze receded and smoke cleared on Friday, prompting activists to march on the ICE building at nightfall.

Comment: The BLM rioters are turning their attention from police to ordinary citizens:
Around 200 demonstrators marched through the city on Saturday night, with some individuals smashing windows and applying graffiti on buildings. A bank, a restaurant and a Starbucks coffee shop were among the businesses targeted, the Portland Police said in a statement. No arrests were made, but the acts of vandalism are under investigation.

Protesters were also filmed burning an American flag as they chanted "black trans lives matter." In another incident, they torched a pro-police 'thin blue line' flag as they shouted "blue lives splatter."

Elsewhere in the city, online footage shows demonstrators stopping a truck and then ordering one of its passengers to raise his fist and say "black lives matter." The vehicle's windows were reportedly later smashed by the protesters.

Portland's chaotic streets had quietened down due to poor air quality resulting from nearby forest fires, but protests resumed earlier this week. On Friday, 11 people were arrested after demonstrators targeted an Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) facility in the city.

Arizona student journalist 'canceled' over Jacob Blake tweet on sexual assault

Rae'Lee Klein

An Arizona State University journalism student said she is latest victim of "cancel culture" โ€” having been removed from her role at the school's radio station for tweeting about Jacob Blake's past accusations of sexual assault.

Rae'Lee Klein, the 21-year-old former station manager of the student-run station, was first targeted last month when she tweeted a New York Post article revealing the details behind Blake's arrest warrant, she said.

"Always more to the story, folks," Klein tweeted on her personal account with a link to The Post's story. "Please read this article to get the background of Jacob Blake's warrant. You'll be quite disgusted."

Comment: Klein has many supporters, including ASU alumni, From RT:
The school is named for the late Walter Cronkite, who was called "the most trusted man in America" during his tenure as anchorman of CBS Evening News from 1962 to 1981. Twitter users, including author Chris DeRose, said it may be time to remove Cronkite's name from the school, in light of the decision to fire a journalist for reporting truthful information. "Walter is rolling over in his grave at what journalism has become," one commenter said. Conservative author Mike Cernovich questioned whether federal funding to Arizona State could be halted.

Other Twitter users encouraged Klein to sue the university, and some said they were Arizona State alumni and would stop their donations to the school. Many commenters encouraged Klein to keep fighting for truth, saying her career will be boosted by her ouster from Blaze Radio, but one said, "Unfortunately, it's journalism today. There's no longer journalism. There's only peddlers of activism."

Man finds apparent brain on Racine beach - UPDATE: Medical examiner says 'not human'

Samuel Myers Park in Racine
Samuel Myers Park in Racine, Wis
Racine police are looking to determine not only the what, but the why, after what appeared to be a brain was found on a beach Tuesday, Sept. 15.

Police are still working to figure out if what was found along the beach at Samuel Myers Park on Tuesday morning is human or not.

For the man who found it, the discovery is still hard to believe.

Jimmy Senda said you never know what you will find along the shore. The construction worker takes a stroll on the beach each morning.

Comment: Michigan Live provides an update:
A medical examiner in Wisconsin has determined that a brain found on a Lake Michigan beach is not human.

According to Fox 6 in Milwaukee, the brain was found by construction worker Jimmy Senda, who was walking along the shore at Samuel Myers Park in Racine on Tuesday.

Officials said Thursday that it is unknown what type of animal the brain came from, the TV station reported.
