A brilliant fireball streaked across the skies over South Louisiana Monday evening, captured on video by multiple viewers and reported to the American Meteor Society.
The meteor was spotted at 7:18 p.m. in Walker by Joelle Sibley, whose video shows a bright object streaking across the sky. A second sighting was reported from Brad Stewart in Gonzales.

A meteor was caught on camera this month streaking across the sky in Southcentral Alaska.
Victoria Pennick says the meteor was so bright it triggered the motion sensor on her security camera. She says she has a "couple of security cameras pointed to the sky recording at all times, and this fireball was captured on my east facing aurora camera, from my home in east Anchorage." The timestamp from the video shows the date as February 21st at 2:28 am.
