Ukraine's president, top court clash over anti-corruption ruling

Zelenskiy

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy and the Constitutional Court have clashed over a ruling to abolish some anti-corruption laws, as hundreds of protesters gathered in the streets of Kyiv over the decision.

Zelenskiy asked lawmakers on October 30 to annul a court ruling earlier this week that struck down some anti-corruption legislation and curbed the powers of the National Anti-Corruption Agency (NAZK).

In its ruling, the court said the punishment for false information on an official's asset declaration, as envisioned by the laws, was too harsh.

But Zelenskiy said the move could jeopardize vital international economic aid and called for lawmakers to dissolve the Constitutional Court because its decisions were "worthless."

Can you smell what China is cooking?

Less than a week before the game-changing U.S. presidential election, the real heart of the geopolitical and geoeconomic action is virtually invisible to the outside world.

We're talking about the fifth plenum of the 19th Chinese Communist Party (CPC) Central Committee, which started this past Monday in Beijing.

The plenum congregates the 200 members - and another 100 alternate members - of the civilization-state's top decision-making body: the equivalent, in Western liberal democracy terms, of the Chinese Congress.

The outline of what will be the 14th Chinese Five-Year-Plan (2021-2025) will be announced with a communiqué at the end of the plenum this Thursday. Policy details will be streaming in the next few weeks. And everything will be formally approved by the National People's Congress (NPC) in March 2021.

For all practical purposes, this should be regarded as what China's leadership is really thinking.

Brazil's Bolsonaro says fresh COVID lockdown measures are 'crazy'

Bolsonaro

Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro, a longtime critic of stay-at-home measures to combat the coronavirus pandemic, said on Thursday that it was "crazy" for countries to start locking down again to control second waves of the virus.

Most Western countries and parts of Latin America have reported their highest single-day surges in the past few weeks. Many governments, with the notable exception of the United States, have started taking stronger measures to bring the spread of the virus under control.

Comment: There is no 'second wave' of coronavirus as is being claimed by governments. However there will be a second wave of death and devastation to the economy caused by these restrictions: And check out SOTT radio's:

Germany planning Capital Markets Union if funding from City of London dries up with Brexit

city london
© REUTERS/Hannah McKay/File PhotoFILE PHOTO: The City of London financial district is seen during early morning mist from Greenwich Park in London, Britain, January 22, 2017.
A senior German government official said on Friday he was "deeply concerned" about the lack of progress in trade talks between the European Union and Britain, given the heavy reliance of German companies on funding from London's financial hub.

London is Europe's biggest financial centre, but faces being largely cut off from the bloc when Britain's post-Brexit transition arrangements expire on Dec. 31.

Britain and the EU have entered an intensive phase in talks on a free trade deal, though EU access for financial firms in Britain is being dealt with separately by Brussels.

Comment: It's not a good sign when Germany admits that it is reliant on the City of London that is well known for financial markets largely based on fraudulent practices:

Will the next World Trade Organization (WTO) head impose a Gates and Davos Great Reset agenda? You betcha!

Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala
It is all but certain that the next head of the influential World Trade Organization (WTO) will be an African by birth and a woman. But neither is what makes the all-but certain naming of Nigerian-born Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala cause for alarm. Rather it is who she is and who she presently is tied to that insure she will implement the unfolding agenda of the Great Reset transformation of the world economy, using the coronavirus pandemic as a prime lever. She presently heads an organization created by the seeming omnipresent (not omniscient) Bill Gates together with the Davos World Economic Forum — both involved in implementing the Great Reset - and she is deeply tied to the prime institutions of globalization and international finance. Some background we should know about.

Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala has just won the unanimous support of the 55 nations of the African Union, defeating an Egyptian candidate. As of this writing she faces certain approval over her South Korean opponent. On October 17, the 55 member countries of the African Union voted to back Okonjo-Iweala against her only remaining opponent, Yoo Myung-hee of South Korea, their current Minister of Trade. The Nigerian candidate claims also to have the backing of a group of Caribbean and Pacific states, bringing the number of countries officially endorsing her candidacy to 79 out of the 164 states that comprise the WTO. It looks like a done deal.

Comment: Wow. Global finance, Big Agra, Big Pharma - this creep ticks off all the boxes now doesn't she? And all wrapped up in an ideologically liberal package that is sure to win the hearts of unwitting dupes world-wide. Now how is that for an all-in-one force for pillage, degradation and slow-motion death? Bravo archons of cosmic evil - we're impressed!!

Trump's (64 Day) post-election endgame - or, can a criminal be inaugurated president?

Biden
Suddenly, the anticipated Trump campaign's October surprise: allegations that presidential candidate Joseph Biden has been a beneficiary of an international influence-peddling scheme with his son, Hunter, as the point man. This has dramatically, for the moment, turned the tables of election 2020.

This pre-election day chess move is an obvious, carefully planned Trump campaign hit job, but short-sighted, most pundits predict these allegations come too late to sway the outcome of election day. This view is dubious and misses what could indeed be a three-move check-mate against Joe Biden, but...after the votes are counted.

Come Nov 3, the race for POTUS is far from over. Trump's handlers seem to know this. The follow-up will be an unprecedented public spectacle that will likely very much include the Electoral College. Further, this possible coup will have sixty-four very valuable extra days, a Judiciary Committee, an Attorney General, a Senate and developing media attention, all remaining and at the RNC's disposal.

The Trump campaign knows this and appears to be playing the long game. Rudy Giuliani and Steve Bannon are not political fools. Thanks to Biden's true personality being exposed, a growing treasure chest of allegations have been handed over to Trump, four different times thus far. If these revelations prove true, should Trump lose, this will also provide his campaign no less than two more chances to bring Biden down.

Comment: Another possible outcome is that it becomes clear very early on that Trump has legitimately won the election - and pursues justice against Biden anyway. This, of course, doesn't preclude the Dems and their Soros-paid ilk to hit the streets and go on the attack. In fact, that possibility is a near guarantee and would constitute a part of a real attempted coup:

'Debunking' a document nobody's heard of: NBC accused of putting up 'smokescreen' for Creepy Joe

NBC News had its reporters debunk a damaging document about the Bidens that few have heard of, yet it won't investigate emails potentially implicating Joe Biden in foreign deals. Conservatives smelled a distraction campaign.

An "intelligence" document purportedly linking Biden and his son Hunter to the Chinese Communist Party was the work of a computer-generated fake researcher, NBC News reported on Thursday. According to the news outlet, the report's author, 'Martin Aspen,' is a fabricated identity and his photograph is a 'deepfake' composite generated by artificial intelligence.

The document, published by blogger and professor Christopher Balding at the beginning of October, claims that Hunter Biden made deals in China beyond the alleged deals laid out in a recent New York Post expose. Hunter, according to the document, courted Chinese state money, and Chinese officials and businessmen were eager to hand over cash for the chance to court his father, who was then the vice president of the United States.

What motivates the US to eliminate terrorist leaders in Syria?

U.S. Air Force MQ-9 Reaper drone
© Josh Smith / ReutersU.S. Air Force MQ-9 Reaper drone
As officially reported by the United States Central Command (CENTCOM), on October 22, following an American drone strike in northwestern Syria 14 militants were killed, including 6 field commanders with the terrorist Islamist alliance Hay'at Tahrir al-Sham (HTS is an organization banned in Russia), a group in which a leading role is played by the terrorist group Jabhat Fateh al-Sham, formerly known as Jabhat al-Nusra (both groups are banned in Russia). One of those killed, Hamud al-Sahara, was a co-founder of Jabhat al-Nusra in Aleppo. The strike was carried out in the village of Jakara, near the city of Salqin in Idlib province, where top leaders from terrorist groups were holding a meeting.

Any actions to suppress the activities of terrorists, and to destroy them, definitely should be assessed in a positive light. However, this CENTCOM operation in Syria involuntarily forces people to think about the true reasons and objectives for these actions on the part of the United States, and right at the very moment when Kashyap Patel, the official chiefly responsible for combating terrorism with the US National Security Council, arrived in the country, as he made this visit with President Donald Trump's support, and with the US State Department coordinating it. According to the Wall Street Journal, Patel was accompanied by Robert O'Brien, another national security adviser to the president and former chief hostage negotiator at the US State Department.

Pepe Escobar: A Dem presidency means we would face The Return of The Blob

Hillary Clinton
Hillary Clinton
What happens on November 3rd ? It's like a larger than life replay of the famous Hollywood adage: "No one knows anything."

The Dem strategy is crystal clear, spawned by the gaming of election scenarios embedded in the Transition Integrity Project and made even more explicit by one of TIP's co-founders, a law professor at Georgetown University.

Hillary Clinton, bluntly, has already called it: Dems must re-take the White House by any and all means and under any and all circumstances.

And just in case, with a 5,000-word opus, she already positioned herself for a plum job.

As much as Dems have made it very clear they will never accept a Trump victory, the counterpunch was vintage Trump: he told the Proud Boys to "stand back" - as in no violence, for now - but crucially to "stand by", as in "get ready".

The stage is set for Kill Bill mayhem on November 3rd and beyond.
