The European Union has set out its commitment to the continued use of lockdowns, mask mandates, vaccine passports and other restrictions this winter to control the spread of COVID-19, and also to the creation of a "legally binding" global pandemic treaty with a "reinforced WHO at its centre".

The document, published on September 2nd and titled "EU response to COVID-19: preparing for autumn and winter 2023", was prepared by the EU Commission (the EU executive) and sent to the EU Parliament. It reveals how much in thrall to the new biosecurity orthodoxy the EU leadership is and bodes ill for the future management of contagious disease in the bloc and globally.

On lockdowns and other restrictions, it proposes a framework of "key indicators to assess when deciding on reintroducing non-pharmaceutical measures". These indicators include severe disease and hospital occupancy data, and importantly are stated to relate not just to COVID-19 but to influenza as well, making this potentially part of normal winter disease management, continuing indefinitely.

Comment: Comparable to this situation: The series of manipulations and curtailments that occurred post 9/11.

The Department of Justice (DOJ) is slow-walking its response to a federal court order mandating that the agency forfeit records pertaining to President Joe Biden's March 2021 executive order that directed federal agencies to develop plans for federal interference in state election administration.

On Thursday evening, the agency filed a motion for summary judgment with the Fort Myers Division of the U.S. Middle District Court of Florida in an attempt to conceal communication records related to Executive Order 14019, which required all federal departments to "consider ways to expand citizens' opportunities to register to vote and to obtain information about, and participate in, the electoral process." In law, "summary judgment" is a decision issued by a court based on statements and evidence for one party against another without going to a full trial.

The move to shield the records in question from the public comes after a federal judge mandated in July that the agency must turn over documents related to Biden's order to the Foundation for Government Accountability (FGA), which sued the DOJ back in April after its officials failed to respond to FGA's July 2021 open records requests. While the DOJ ultimately turned over a few of the records to FGA last month, the documents were heavily redacted and did not include the DOJ's 15-page "strategic plan" on how the agency intends to comply with Biden's executive order.

Comment: Strategy? Tying up the motion in legal maneuvers until after the election ensures political exposure and negative publicity won't affect the outcome.

'Now that the world has a better understanding of the legitimacy of the Hunter Biden laptop story, it is clear that there was a concerted effort to kill the story by defaming John Paul and others.'

The owner of the Delaware computer repair store where Hunter Biden abandoned his MacBook filed suit against Hunter Biden, the Joe Biden 2020 presidential campaign, Rep. Adam Schiff, CNN, and Politico in Delaware state court on Monday. The eight-count complaint alleged claims of defamation, civil conspiracy, and civil aiding and abetting against the defendants based on statements they made after the New York Post published the scandalous materials recovered from Hunter's laptop.

John Paul Mac Isaac found himself thrust into the public eye after the New York Post on Oct. 14, 2020, published an exposé about the contents of the laptop Hunter Biden had abandoned at Isaac's Delaware computer repair store. No sooner had the news broken than Joe Biden's presidential campaign and backers of the Democrat candidate called the story Russian disinformation.

Comment: The unfolding of this case should be fascinating to watch - especially if justice levies its full force in favor of Isaac.

UAE to invest in Russian tech - official

The United Arab Emirates is keen to invest in Russian high-tech companies and to host their representative offices, Deputy Economy Minister Abdullah Ahmad Al Saleh said on Friday.

Speaking at the Made in Russia forum, he noted that Russian tech companies which he had visited had demonstrated a high level of development. "They have offered a number of inventions and new technologies that we would like to invest in, and we would also like to have their headquarters in our country," he said, adding that it's important to promote start-ups.

Al Saleh has called for mutual cooperation between the two countries in such areas as space, medicine and green energy, in particular highlighting Russia's experience in space technology.

Ukraine may not have the money to pay wages and pensions unless the European Union speeds up its financial aid, the country's prime minister has warned. He said Brussels should act quickly to transfer all of the €9 billion ($8.8 billion) that was pledged to Kiev in May.

"The most important thing for us is that it comes as soon as possible," Denis Shmigal told German newspaper Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung on Saturday. "We need it so that our financial system can survive. Whether it will come in the form of a loan or a grant is less important."

Shmigal warned that "in an extremely negative scenario," Ukraine could end up "not paying wages and not paying pensions."

The premie minister accused Russia of attempting to create "a humanitarian catastrophe" in Ukraine that could "trigger a new migration tsunami." He called for the seizure of Russian assets that were frozen after Moscow launched its military operation in February, so the funds can be used for Ukraine's recovery.

Comment: Ukraine is desperately broke and the longer the West forces this conflict to continue the worse off the Ukrainian populace will be.

The US and its allies might directly intervene in the ongoing conflict between Moscow and Kiev, even if there is no threat to any NATO member states, retired US Army general David Petraeus told France's L'Express weekly on Saturday.

Washington might form a new coalition of the willing in such a scenario and use it instead of NATO, Petraeus, who also briefly served as the CIA director, believes.

Russia could take some actions in Ukraine that would be "so shocking and so horrific" that it would prompt a response from the US and other nations, he said, adding that they "might react in one way or another, but as a multinational force led by the US and not as a NATO force."

The military alliance would still likely be bound by its treaty and would only join the conflict if Article 5 is invoked, i.e. if one of its members is attacked, the general believes. Petraeus also said that Moscow is not interested in escalating the conflict and turning it into a global war. A wider conflict is "the last thing" Russian President Vladimir Putin needs right now, he added.

Earlier in October, Petraeus claimed that the US could wipe out all Russian forces in Ukraine, alongside with the Russian Black Sea fleet, if Moscow uses nuclear arms in Ukraine. On Saturday, he doubled down on these words by saying that Washington's response to such a move on Russia's part would involve "more than diplomatic ... economic and legal actions."

Comment: A possibility to be sure. Especially if Ukraine reaches the point of exhaustion and cannot continue even with the substantial indirect assistance of Western nations. At that point, another version of "Assad gassing his own people" video and media barrage may surface as pretext for more direct foreign intervention. However, will the US be able to rally a coalition of the willing this time around considering Russia, unlike Libya and Syria, is quite capable of defending itself?

President Xi Jinping was re-elected as leader of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) on Sunday, retaining the position for a third term. This is set to make him Beijing's longest serving leader since Mao Zedong.

Xi, who has now secured another five years in power, will also retain his role as chairman of the Central Military Commission, the highest defense body in charge of the People's Liberation Army.

The leader or general secretary of the CCP, as well as the chairman of the Central Military Commission, are considered more important roles in China than that of the president, which is largely a ceremonial position. It is also held by Xi Jinping, and he is widely expected to retain this title next year.

The Central Committee also picked members of the new Politburo Standing Committee, China's most powerful decision-making body, which comprises seven people. Along with Xi Jinping, the committee will also consist of Li Qiang, Zhao Leji, Wang Huning, Cai Qi, Li Xi and Ding Xuexiang - all of whom are described as allies of the president.

Xi introduced the new members of the Politburo Standing Committee as he led them onto the stage at Beijing's Great Hall of the People to meet the press.

Comment: Now that the election process is over we'll see what, if any, changes follow regarding Russia, Taiwan, and China's domestic Covid policies.

We at OffG - and many of our fellow alt media sites - have been reporting for over a year now that the Covid "vaccination" campaign will never end.

In short, you will NEVER be "fully vaccinated".

That much was obvious once health institutions around the world started "updating" their definition of the term.

Israel. America. Britain. New Zealand. Australia...they all did it, and it came as no surprise.

From the beginning, the "pandemic" has been created, policed, enforced and perpetuated through nothing but rhetorical tricks and manipulative language. News names for old things. New definitions for old words.

"Covid" has always been nothing but a pandemic of terminology. The fluid nature of "fully vaccinated" is just another example.

It has already ballooned from "double-jabbed" to "boosted" and "double-boosted", and with new "vaccines" expected for all the variants, it doesn't look like any end is on the horizon.

As I said, you'll never really be "fully vaccinated"...and now they're admitting it.

In yet another attempt at control through language manipulation, there's a push on to completely scrub the term "fully vaccinated" from the Covid discourse.

Spain will send up to eight warplanes to Bulgaria next month to help with the its air policing tasks amid the Russian invasion of Ukraine, Bulgarian Defence Minister Dimitar Stoyanov said on Thursday.

Stoyanov said the Spanish Eurofighter jets were expected to land in Bulgaria on November 1 and will perform airspace protection duties along with the Bulgarian Air Force until December 23.

"This is yet another mission on enhanced air policing. It will be a joint airspace security duty, " Stoyanov told reporters.
