G7 meeting 'maliciously smeared China', group should focus on its own problems - Beijing

A joint communique of the G7 foreign ministers was "full of arrogance" and "grossly interfered in China's internal affairs," Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Wang Wenbin told reporters on Tuesday. The communique contained a statement of support for Taiwan and accused Beijing of "coercion."

"The G7 foreign ministers' meeting has grossly interfered in China's internal affairs, and maliciously smeared and discredited China," Wang said. "The communique is full of arrogance [and] prejudice."

"We deplore and reject this," he continued, adding that Beijing has issued "a strong demarche" to Japan, which hosted the ministers' meeting over the weekend.

Comment: The same old same old from the G7, meanwhile China has a point, why are they wasting valuable time with propaganda memes against China? Is it because the pathological Western leadership, taking their cue from the US, doesn't care to find solutions for the rapidly deteriorating situation at home, and instead they're hedging their bets on destroying Russia and China in their desperation to stay on top?

The Kiev regime, as a consequence of introducing martial law, has built an authoritarian regime in the country, essentially morphing into a neo-Nazi dictatorship, according to a report by the Russian Foreign Ministry on the situation with human rights in Ukraine published on Wednesday.

"The conditions created by [Kiev] as a consequence of introducing martial law have made it possible to build an authoritarian regime in the country characterized by an absolute monopoly on power, extrajudicial reprisals, strict censorship, the virtual elimination of independent media outlets and the eradication of the political opposition, total state propaganda, the active search for traitors, made-up Russian spies and saboteurs. The current regime, adopting the ideology and practices of Ukrainian national radicals, has essentially morphed into a neo-Nazi dictatorship," the report said.

Additionally, it is noted that following the beginning of Russia's special military operation, the Kiev regime abandoned any attempts to "create the appearance of maintaining law and order and observing human rights in the country."

Then there were nine: Comer alleges a wider range of potential Biden beneficiaries from possible influence peddling

House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer has revealed that there are not three but nine members of the Biden family that may have benefitted from suspected influence peddling efforts. For those of us who have long criticized the corrupt practices of the Biden family, the identity of these other family members is intriguing after the Committee secured new bank and financial records. Democratic members again insisted that there is no need to investigate such influence peddling.

The new information on the Biden family is due largely to the takeover of the House by the GOP. Previously, Democrats blocked efforts to investigate influence peddling by the Biden family for years.

After assuming control of the Committee. Comer sought suspicious activity reports sent by banks to the Treasury Department alerting of potential criminal activity in transactions involving President Biden's family.

He stated on Monday:
"We've identified six additional members of Joe Biden's family who may have benefited from the Biden family's businesses that we are investigating, bringing the total number of those involved or benefiting to nine."

Comment: Corruption at the top provides massive leverage for control.

Russian President Vladimir Putin visited the headquarters of Russian troops fighting in Ukraine early Tuesday, his second trip to the Russian-held territories there since March.

A video released by the Kremlin and broadcast by Russian state television showed Putin visiting the command post for Russian forces in the southern Kherson region. Putin arrived by helicopter to receive reports from the top military brass about the combat situation.

The Russian leader then moved by helicopter to the headquarters of the Russian National Guard of the eastern Luhansk region to hear a report from commanders.

In both locations, Putin congratulated the military on Orthodox Easter, which was celebrated Sunday and presented them with icons.

Republicans now believe the letter that falsely portrayed laptop as disinformation was a consequential interference in the last presidential election.

Aided by two Obama-era witnesses, congressional investigators led by House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan have developed the first evidence that a letter from security experts that falsely dismissed the Hunter Biden laptop as Russian disinformation during the 2020 election had ties to Joe Biden's presidential campaign.

Jordan told Just the News he expects to release a report from the House panel on weaponization of government later this month that lays out out evidence and the players behind the letter, which many Republicans now say was a consequential interference in the last presidential election.

"It was all done with politics, and it looks like there was some some real connections with the Biden campaign," Jordan said during an interview late last week on the John Solomon Reports podcast, declining to be more specific because there are more witness interviews being conducted this week.

Germany's nuclear lunacy

Ordinary Germans will pay a heavy price for their elites' green fear-mongering.

This weekend, the plug was pulled on Germany's last three nuclear reactors. Environmentalists have hailed this as the culmination of a 50-year struggle. Indeed, for decades, Germany's anti-nuclear movement had enjoyed mass support. But now that the activists have won, regret is starting to set in. The bleak reality of the energy crisis has led many Germans to rethink. It has become all too clear that the phasing out of nuclear power can only make matters worse.

A culture of fear has driven Germany's anti-nuclear movement since its inception in the mid-1970s. In its early days, it was a radical opposition movement, largely at the fringes of society. Its demonstrations were often met with massive police force. At one demo in 1986, in the German village of Wackersdorf, several protesters, and one police officer, were killed.

Southern Afghan city becomes de facto capitol as Taliban chief tightens grip on power

Afghanistan's southern city of Kandahar is the historical birthplace and the political base of the Taliban. Now, the country's second-largest city appears to be becoming the de facto capital under the militant group's rule.

Several officials have recently been transferred from the capital, Kabul, to Kandahar. Taliban Supreme Leader Mullah Haibatullah Akhundzada lives in the city and rarely leaves the Pashtun heartland in southern Afghanistan.

Experts say Akhundzada's decision to relocate the offices of two Taliban spokesmen to Kandahar is part of efforts to tighten his grip on power. The move comes amid growing reports of infighting between key Taliban ministers based in Kabul and a powerful group of clerics led by Akhundzada in Kandahar.

"It looks like political power is being transferred from Kabul to Kandahar," Sami Yousafzai, a veteran Afghan journalist and commentator who has tracked the Taliban since its emergence in the 1990s, told RFE/RL's Radio Azadi. "[Akhundzada] is creating a parallel administration to the one in Kabul."

Russia responds to seizure of state property in Finland

The Russian Embassy in Finland has demanded an explanation after restrictions were placed on Russian state property in Helsinki.

"A demand has been lodged to the Finnish Foreign Ministry to explain how the actions of the bailiffs are compatible with the norms of international law about the immunity of the property of a (foreign) state," the embassy said in a statement on Wednesday.

According to Russian officials, the Finnish authorities cited EU sanctions when they imposed restrictions on the Russian Science and Culture Center building, the surrounding plot of land, and the apartments of diplomats who work there.

The Helsingin Sanomat newspaper reported on Tuesday that Finland's debt recovery agency placed temporary restrictions on the Russian building a week ago at the request of the Finnish Foreign Ministry. Officials now have three weeks to determine if the property can be linked to blacklisted individuals or entities. The injunction forbids the owner from making deals involving the real estate.

The newspaper added that the seven apartments in question are owned by Rossotrudnichestvo, a Russian federal agency for foreign cooperation which was blacklisted by the EU last year.

Last month, the Finnish authorities froze the Russian Science and Culture Center's account at national bank Nordea, TV channel YLE said.

While the world is distracted: Syria updates - ISIS massacres and Turkish double-dealing

The US cartel is doubling down on war

ISIS
As events are moving so fast in the region, I will try to update more regularly in a condensed format:

US continues its murder of civilians in central Syria using its ISIS proxies to carry out brutal attacks . On the 16th April at least 26 civilians were massacred in an attack on truffle hunters in the Duizen eastern countryside of Hama governorate.

It is reported by the terrorist-biased Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) that 12 of the martyrs were members of the National Defence Forces but the majority of the attacks and kidnap victims are civilians. The US is known to have planted ISIS cells in the area east of Homs and the threat to civilians or military is high. Syrian civilians trying to eke a living in a country under economic attack from the West are forced to hire military protection to survive. Added to this, the desert is still also littered with ISIS and other terrorist group mines and IEDs. On 17th February 53 people were killed in Homs Al Sukhna region near Palmyra and dozens were kidnapped.

China's State Councilor and Minister of National Defense Li Shangfu highlighted that the Russo-Chinese relationship, which is based on the principles of non-alignment and non-confrontation, goes beyond the Cold War-era military and political alliances during his meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin and Defense Minister Sergey Shoigu.

"Chinese Defense Minister Li Shangfu's visit to Russia is an important event following President Xi Jinping's visit to Russia, and one of the biggest events in diplomatic relations between China and Russia this year," Zhou Rong, a senior analyst at the Chongyang Institute for Financial Studies at Renmin University of China, told Sputnik. "With US-led NATO under heavy pressure on Russia in Europe and on China in Asia, Moscow and Beijing need mutual support and a high degree of trust in military cooperation. Russian-Chinese cooperation will help prevent regional wars and conflicts.

"It is hardly a coincidence that Li Shangfu went to Russia on the heels of a state visit by Chinese Chairman Xi Jinping, who spent three days in Moscow in his first international trip since his re-election in the 2023 National People's Congress, according to Sergey Sanakoev, president of the Asia-Pacific Research Center and RIAC member.
