Vladimir Putin answered questions from VGTRK journalist and anchor of Vesti v Subbotu (News on Saturday) programme Sergei Brilyov.

Sergei Brilyov: Good afternoon, Mr President.

Vladimir Putin: Good afternoon.

Sergei Brilyov: No matter what else is happening, and no matter what area of life we discuss, this nasty coronavirus always looms somewhere in the background.

Vladimir Putin: That's true.

Sergei Brilyov: What do you think about the notorious second wave that scares so many people?

Vladimir Putin: What is the second wave? We just talk about it in our everyday conversations or the media talks about the second wave.

Comment: Putin seems to be saying that Russia will pretty much invade Belarus if the Western Order's minions attempt to take it by force.

On Covid-19, his dig at 'individualism' is sickening - given that the whole darn thing is bogus - but Putin is apparently powerless to confront that issue head on.

Best of the Web: 'Save the American dream': Trump denounces riots, cancel culture, 'failed political class' in defiant RNC speech

Trump, Melania, Don JR.
© Reuters/Carlos BarriaUS President Donald Trump after delivering his acceptance speech at the 2020 Republican National Convention on the South Lawn of the White House in Washington, August 27, 2020.
Speaking at the finale of the Republican National Convention, President Donald Trump doubled down on American exceptionalism and once again painted himself as an outsider fighting the Democrats and the entrenched establishment.

The speech went on for over an hour, much longer than Joe Biden's address a week ago at the Democratic convention. But whereas Biden spoke in an empty auditorium in Milwaukee, Trump spoke outside the White House, in the wilting heat of late summer in Washington, DC - and in front of more than a thousand people.

In the absence of a formal party platform, Trump defined the Republican position for 2020 as undoing the damage done by the establishment; defending law and order from mobs and anarchy; fighting 'cancel culture' and making American great(er) again.

Though the tone of it was uneven - at times a campaign rally, at other times sounding like a State of the Union - and Trump was visibly running out of steam by the end, the underlying message was crystal clear.

Comment: Meanwhile, outside the White House, mobs raged.

Ann Dorn, the wife of slain former St. Louis Police Captain David Dorn, called on governors and mayors to accept federal help in putting down violent riots after recounting the painful night that her husband was killed.

Ann spoke at the Republican National Convention on Thursday, the fourth and final night of the proceedings. Her husband, a 44-year veteran of law enforcement, died on June 2 while defending a friend's pawnshop from rioters who were defacing and destroying property and looting businesses across the city. The riots broke out following protests over the death of George Floyd, a black man who died in police custody in Minneapolis on May 25.

Best of the Web: Caitlin Johnstone: QAnon is a fake, decoy imitation of a healthy revolutionary impulse

Many Donald Trump supporters religiously follow the QAnon conspiracy theory, claiming it holds all the keys to 'draining the swamp' and ending the status quo. It's a shameless distraction that ensures no real change ever happens.

Today the US president moved from tacit endorsement and evading questions on the toxic QAnon psyop to directly endorsing and supporting it, telling reporters "I don't know much about the movement other than I understand they like me very much, which I appreciate," and saying they're just people who love their country and don't like seeing what's happening in places like Portland, Chicago and New York City.

Asked about the driving theory behind QAnon, that Trump is waging a covert war against a satanic pedopheliac baby-eating deep state, Trump endorsed the idea but reframed it by saying that he's leading a fight against "a radical left philosophy."

Comment: Trump may have reframed it, but the author did so first. "Satanic pedopheliac baby-eating deep state" is a mischaracterization of the themes galvanizing support for 'QAnon' right across the Western world.

"If I can help save the world from problems, I'm willing to do it. I'm willing to put myself out there," Trump said in response to the query. "And we are actually. We're saving the world from a radical left philosophy that will destroy this country, and when this country is gone, the rest of the world would follow."

Comment: You're never "free from any perceptual distortion." The moment you believe you are, The Matrix has you! Life is a process of constant adjustment. Some things remain true throughout, but many don't because context changes.

The interesting thing about QAnon is that it indeed began as a psy-op with outlandish claims, but seems to have grown into this international movement that 'absorbed' the core elements that are true (elites everywhere are psychos, the media's lying about everything, Trump and some other leaders mean well, etc). What it offered in the beginning were 'titillating breadcrumbs', and people 'critically corrected' much of it to fill in the blanks with solid truths.

The 'Q' motto of 'WWG1WGA' (Where We Go One, We Go All) pops up all over the place now, from anti-lockdown protests in Ireland to anti-establishment Dutch rap songs.

So what probably began as a US intel operation has taken on a life of its own and become something with widespread symbolic appeal, something which, if the author could adjust her lens of perception, she would spend less time railing against and instead focus her energies on the really dangerous psy-ops, like Covid-19...

A diabolical process is underway which consists in "identifying" all those who are opposed to the governments' management of the coronavirus pandemic. According to ongoing psychological studies, these opponents are categorized as anti-social psychopaths.

The unspoken objective is to shunt the emergence of an organized protest movement pertaining to social engineering and the decision taken Worldwide at a political level to close down the national economies of more than 150 members states of the United Nations.

Peer reviewed psychological "studies" are currently being carried in several countries using sample surveys.

Accept the "big Lie" and you are tagged as a "good person" with "empathy" who understands the feelings of others.

Protest against the official truth ("big lie"), criticize government guidelines, express reservations regarding the closing down of the global economy, social distancing and the wearing of the face mask, and you will be tagged (according to "scientific opinion") as a "callous and deceitful psychopath".

Have you heard about the 'Great Reset'? It's the World Economic Forum's new plan to reshape the post-Covid world. It's top of the agenda at the next conference in Davos. You might not like some of the ideas in it, but they are presented as if they have been decided on your behalf.

On the Great Reset website, you are blasted with visions of the apocalypse. Klaus Schwab, founder of the WEF, shares his views:
'Covid-19 has shown us that our old systems are not fit anymore for the 21st century. It has laid bare the fundamental lack of social cohesion, fairness, inclusion and equality. Now is the historical moment, the time, not only to fight the virus but to shape the system for the post-corona era.'
Among those involved are Prince Charles, the secretary general of the United Nations, the managing director of the IMF, the CEOs of Mastercard, BP, the president of Microsoft, an official from the People's Bank of China, and other global players. And recent UK attendees of Davos are a diverse group. Tony Blair, Sir David Attenborough and Prince William, for example. Greenpeace, the WWF and trade unions regularly cosy up with big oil, bankers and officials from some of the most brutal regimes on the planet.

Best of the Web: 'Clear case of self-defense': Pundits argue video evidence exonerates 17-year-old charged with Kenosha killings

Numerous commentators claim that all available evidence shows that Kyle Rittenhouse acted in self-defense when he opened fire on protesters in Kenosha, Wisconsin. The teen is accused of killing two protesters.

Rittenhouse, 17, was arrested and charged with first-degree murder over the shooting of three demonstrators - two of whom died - during riots in the city on Tuesday night.

Although painted as a bloodthirsty white supremacist by some journalists and activists, multiple observers have made the case that Rittenhouse had good intentions and pulled the trigger as a last resort.

Comment: Social media has been publishing the backgrounds of the shooting victims.

Tucker Carlson came under fire for defending Rittenhouse:
Carlson's segment on the ongoing protests and rioting in Kenosha, Wisconsin on Wednesday night largely took aim at state and local officials, arguing that those in positions of power were to blame for a spike in violence after leaving city residents to cope with the unrest on their own.

"Kenosha has devolved into anarchy because the authorities in charge of the city abandoned it," he said. "People in charge from the governor of Wisconsin on down refused to enforce the law, they stood back and they watched Kenosha burn."

So are we really surprised that looting and arson accelerated to murder? How shocked are we that 17-year-olds with rifles decided they had to maintain order when no one else would?"

Media outlets from the Huffington Post to the Daily Beast and the Guardian were soon reporting as flat fact that Carlson's comments were a 'defense' and 'justification' of Rittenhouse's actions, while critics sent #FireTuckerCarlson into the trends on Twitter - some compiling a list of the pundit's advertisers in a bid to see him 'canceled.'

Some netizens weighed in to clarify the points advanced in Carlson's Wednesday segment, however, noting that he never offered a defense of the shooting, but rather criticized authorities for failing to protect the city from violence and destruction.

And finally, closet lefty site GoFundMe is not allowing any fundraising for Rittenhouse's legal defense, but hosting campaigns for the attackers:
The URL for his legal defense fundraiser "Help us Free Kyle!", set up by his father Tom Rittenhouse, still appears in Google searches but redirects to a "page not found" notice on the GoFundMe website.

Meanwhile, GoFundMe is directing people to the campaign for Anthony Huber, one of the two men allegedly shot dead by Rittenhouse during the violent altercation, describing him as a "hero" who "gave his life" and "tried to save others."

This move was not popular online, as Huber's alleged history of domestic violence has been discussed widely among those critical of the mainstream narrative about the shooting incident.

CNN ran a segment on the unrest in Kenosha, Wisconsin, on Tuesday night that featured a chyron claiming that the protests were "fiery but mostly peaceful" as a reporter who was on the ground stood in front of a city that was on fire.

"What you're seeing behind me is one of multiple locations that have been burning in Kenosha, Wisconsin, over the course of the night," the CNN reporter said. "A second night since Jacob Blake was seen shot in the back seven times by a police officer."

"And what you are seeing now, these images came and come in stark contrast to what we saw over the course of the daytime hours in Kenosha and into the early evening, which were largely peaceful demonstrations in the face of law enforcement," the reporter continued. "It wasn't until night fell that things began to get a little bit more contentious, things were thrown back and forth. Police started using some of those crowd disbursal tactics like teargas, even playing really loud sounds to push them out."

Best of the Web: German doctors on COVID-19: "We have a lot of evidence that it's a fake story all over the world"

german doctors covid
Is this article 'fake news?' No, because the statement in the title that reads "we have a lot of evidence that it's a fake story all over the world" is an actual quote from a representative of the group discussed in the article. The statement was said. Whether or not what the quote says is true, on the other hand, is up for you to decide or according to multiple governments, is up for the World Health Organization (WHO) to decide. Is the title misleading or inaccurate? No, again, it's a direct quote and represents the opinion of multiple health professionals. Are these health professionals implying that COVID-19 is a fake virus? No, they are simply implying that it's not as dangerous as it's being made out to be, and I summarize some of that information below that has them coming to that conclusion.

These doctors and scientists are being heavily censored across all social media platforms, and those who write about them are experiencing the same. Many of the claims these doctors make have been 'debunked' by mainstream media, federal health regulatory agencies and 'fact-checkers' that are patrolling the internet. Any information that does not come from the (WHO) is not considered reliable, truthful or accurate, and that would include the information presented in this article and information shared by these experts in the field. People are being encouraged to visit the WHO's website for real and accurate information about COVID-19 instead of listening to doctors and scientists who oppose the narrative of these health authorities.

What Happened: More than 500 German doctors & scientists have signed on as representatives of an organization called "Außerparlamentarischer Corona Untersuchungsausschuss." Außerparlamentarischer Corona Untersuchungsausschuss stands for the "Corona Extra-Parliamentary Inquiry Committee and was established to investigate all things that pertain to the new coronavirus such as the severity of the virus, and whether or not the actions taken by governments around the world, and in this case the German government, are justified and not causing more harm than good.
