US: UFO witnesses report from six states

Witnesses from six states are reporting UFOs shaped as diamonds, rods, discs and triangles - and a new witness to the Dec. 9, 1965 Kecksburg, Pennsylvania UFO crash comes forward for the first time. Witness reports follow from around the country.

Ohio- Feb. 17, 2009 - A woman spotted a diamond-shaped UFO for the second time flying slowly over a nearby school. The airborne vehicle was apparently controlled - able to remain stationary, and then move slowly - and altered its lighting as it accelerated, and sported a series of red, green and white blinking lights.

Taiwan: UFO photo declared real by expert

A UFO snapped at a popular tourist day-trip destination in Taiwan has been declared the real thing by that country's foremost UFO expert.

A Mr Cai and his family were out at the Tatachai Pass scenic area in the Nantou region this new year (Jan 1 2009) when they and some other people noticed what appeared to them to be flying saucer in the sky near a small mountain. Mr Cai's 5 year old son took a photo of the object.

Mr Jiang Huang Rong, Chairman of the UFO association of Taiwan, who openly concedes that the majority of UFO photos are hoaxes or incorrectly identified objects, thinks this photo is genuine based on analysis he has done comparing the object in question to other photos snapped by unconnected people in the same area, in Taiwan, and throughout the world.

'Nabau' Snake, More than 100 Feet Long, Reported in Borneo

According to legend, the Nabau was a terrifying snake more than 100ft in length and with a dragon's head and seven nostrils.

But now local villagers living along the Baleh river in Borneo believe the mythical creature has returned after this photo of a gigantic snake swimming along the remote waterways has emerged.

The picture, taken by a member of a disaster team monitoring flood regions by helicopter, has sparked a huge debate about whether the photos are genuine or merely the work of photo-editing software.

Denbigh Castle is not the only haunted hotspot in Denbighshire.
The Free Press decided to delve into the mystery of hauntings of Denbighshire's 10 most haunted places , and found things do go bump in the night...

Over the years, a variety of public figures have stayed at the Hand Hotel in Llangollen.

But, the most famous guests seem to be the spirits.

According to ghost hunters, many of the rooms are haunted, one of which, they say, is visited by the spirit of a lady who died in childbirth.

US: Call center may move if odor source not found

Indiana, Pennsylvania - The Unemployment Compensation Call Center in White Township may be moving to a new location if the building's landlord doesn't get to the bottom of a mysterious odor in the building by early March.

Troy Thompson, a spokesman for the Department of Labor and Industry, said officials sent a letter Feb. 6 to the building's landlord, Capital Venture Properties Inc. in Hollidaysburg, stating that the company had 30 days to correct the problem or the department would default on its 10-year lease set to expire Aug. 31, 2011, for untenable conditions. Labor and Industry entered the lease agreement on Sept. 1, 2001, for the building at 630 Kolter Drive.

Inspectors have been working since October to determine the origin of a smell that has permeated the building on and off, causing eye, nose and throat irritations, headaches, nausea and other symptoms for employees.

Can you identify this huge paw print?

The marking was discovered in a bunker at a Gravesend golf course - and has left the finders puzzled.

The question now is whether it was left by the elusive black panther believed to be roaming north Kent, pranksters - or some other exotic creature.

The large tracks were discovered by golfer Paul Bowles in a sand bunker.

The 28-year-old, of Wrotham Road, Gravesend was playing a round of golf with friends at Southern Valley Golf Club on Saturday, February 14, when they spotted the set of footprints by the seventh and 11th hole.

Comment: Whether the above photo is a hoax or not, the print shown does not seem to be a leopard or puma print.

Till Wöhler is as down-to-earth as you could expect of any German who stands almost 2 meters tall. The China.org.cn journalist is an experienced photographer who is familiar with the night skies. On Monday night he spotted something in the evening sky over Beijing that caught his interest, and for which as yet he has no satisfactory explanation. Here he tells his story in his own words...

"Clear evening skies over the Chinese capital are a relatively rare occurrence, and with the intrusive light pollution for the most part the stars can barely be distinguished. The brightest object in the night sky, the moon, is not visible at the moment.

A strange object in the sky Wednesday afternoon over a wood debris storage area on Old Mill Road caused a Lufkin man and his wife to call local authorities asking for answers.

"It didn't look like no plane," said Jerome Gardner, who lives across the street. "It was amazing, I've never seen anything like it."

Gardner said he was skeptical at first when his wife, Yolanda, told him about the large, round object hovering over the field at the former site of the Louisiana-Pacific paper mill.

But after looking at the object in the sky, Gardner quickly found himself climbing onto his roof to get a closer look.

"I freaked out and just thought, 'What in the world is that?'" he said.

According to the victim’s account, the creature looked like a big dog. Police is looking for a suspect that may have used a costume to attack the girl.
The inhabitants of São Sepé, Rio Grande do Sul, [Brazil] have one more reason to fear Friday the 13th. Besides the bad luck and the strange happenings during the day, a 'werewolf' is supposedly at large. One of the possible victims, a 20-year-old, recorded her complaint in the police.

According to the police, Kelly Martins Becker claims to have been attacked in the night of January 28 by an animal that looked like a big dog, that was standing on its back feet and walked as if it were a man. She made a sketch of the creature.

Description: Two bright balls of light would come on in sync and then a third in another location. They would go out as fast as they had come on ..few seconds would pass and the three bright orange lights would come on together in another spot of the sky..seemed to get closer to us.
