US: Georgia's Mysterious Cow Killer

There's an unidentified feline cryptid roaming around Georgia these days. The Statesboro Herald has the latest.

Something killed a cow and injured another Saturday night, April 25, 2009, near Olive Branch Road in Bryan County, Georgia, and Bryan County Animal Control Officer Valerie Barnard said her coworker - and a Department of Natural Resources ranger who went along with him - said the attack was from "a big cat."

But Ranger Randy Tinley, of the Brunswick DNR office, said no one from his office has "confirmed ... or denied" the attack was the work of a large feline.

Neither the Bryan County Animal Control officer nor the DNR ranger who actually responded to the call were available for comment Wednesday, and neither returned calls. However, Barnard said she spoke for Bryan County Animal Control officer Thomas Sanders, who responded to a call from an elderly man on Olive Branch Road who reported one cow dead and another seriously injured in an attack that took place sometime late Saturday, she said.

Northern Ireland: Puma spotted in Ballymoney

A large cat like animal which was spotted up a tree in the Charlotte Street area of Ballymoney recently is believed to have been a puma.

It has been a number of years since previous reports of 'large cat-like creatures' roaming the North Coast area and The Chronicle can confirm that those animals reportedly seen at the time were never captured.

The area in which the 'puma' was spotted last Thursday is within a short distance of several schools where hundreds of children play daily.

Mrs Carmel McCallum, a mother of two, told The Chronicle how she and her husband Walter saw something big and black up a tree in the field at the bottom of their garden and went to investigate.

She said: "We were looking out the window at the back of our house and I saw something black up the tree in the field behind the garden. I realised it was far too big to be a bird so we went outside so we could get a closer look.

England: Is this yet another mysterious big cat attack?

A savaged sheep carcass bears hallmarks of another big cat attack, say experts - and this time it's close to the town centre.

Farmer Richard Webster found his prize ewe dead in the corner of his 34 acre field in Ashbourne Green on Friday morning and immediately suspected a big dog had been in with his 41 ewes and 71 lambs.

Closer inspection of the carcass reveals tell-tale signs of a big cat kill, and the attack bears a striking resemblance to one in Hognaston in November last year.

Mark Fraser, from Big Cats in Britain, said the pictures didn't provide conclusive evidence that the wounds were caused by a cat and not a dog, but said it was an interesting case.

Poland: UFO formation over Lublin

In the last few months strange UFO formations have been seen above cities throughout the world leading many UFO researchers to ask the question: What are alleged visiting aliens preparing for?
One of the most recent such incidents occurred in the skies above the Polish city of Lublin. This exceptionally clear video (below) taken by a local resident shows a number of craft hovering over skyscrapers and large apartment buildings. What appear to be two smaller UFOs are joined by what might be a mother ship.

Poland has experienced more UFO activity in the last year than any year previous and many Poles are asking the question: What does the government know about these elusive visitors from outer space?

'Mystery lights' spark UFO alert

Lochaber and Inverness are both at the center of a UFO alert with reports of similar sightings on the same night.

Mysterious white lights have been seen above the Fort William area at around the same time it emerged that glowing orange and yellow lights in the sky were reported around Inverness.

Anne MacDougall, a senior service point administration officer with Highland Council, was climbing steps to the garage at her home in Corpach when she witnessed the unexplained lights.

Flashback Another EBE/UFO Sighting in Argentina

"Glowing Little Man" Spreads Panic in Salta

The following apparent UFO/alien sighting took place at about 9:04 am on 21 May 2008 in Salta, Argentina.

Residents of the town of San Carlos now claim seeing a strange being, standing some 40 cm tall, with a magnetic field that kept people from approaching it.

Two people, mechanic Walter Lopez and Omar Ferlatti, informed police about the sighting of the diminutive creature [apparent alien] whom they described in detail: the being was small, glowing and wore pants. It appeared it be protected by a magnetic field.

This incident increased the collective fear of the residents of this community of the Valles Chalchaquies even further. In recent days, a luminous object was seen in the vicinity of their town.

"Kids aren't going out at night out of fear of the strange creature and the UFO," claimed a resident of San Carlos in a statement to the Copenoa news agency.

UFO sightings: Something Floats Over Our World

In 1968, Carlos Murciano was assigned the UFO beat. Just like that, thanks to the good offices of the legendary Torcuato Luca de Tena, director of Spain's ABC newspaper. He went all over the world in search of evidence proving the existence of unidentified flying objects. Today, with the benefit of age and the time elapsed since his original assignment, the journalist reflects upon that singular quest and the ills afflicting 21st century ufology.

"This one of the key points," says Murciano. "The UFO phenomenon was deprived of its humanity. There was once upon a time a series of young people, researchers who projected the problem into statistics. They could have cared less about the character who had seen the strange object--only the percentages, the cold hard data, and the numbers, and they started publishing books with these statistics, which interested no one, since the enigma's human aspect had been eliminated."

Carlos Murciano, a native of Arcos de la Frontera near Cádiz, represents a historic moment in Spanish ufology. This poet and novelist, a award winner, and with ninety books under his belt, saw his life change before him in early September 1968. He was 37 years old at the time, with six children and an upper management position at a Madrid-based multinational. His literary prowess was becoming well-known and he was collecting his first prizes when Spanish society began to face an enigma which had hitherto concerned only a few people: unidentified flying objects.
