US: Mesa resident spots mysterious lights in sky

Phoenix, Arizona - Did anyone see the recent lights over the East Valley?

Steve Neal did last Saturday night, and the 62-year-old Mesa resident has one question: "What was it?"

He learned this week that he's not the only one who saw it, according to officials at Valley airports.

Neal said he hopes more residents who saw something will come forward. He described the object as having "one light in the center surrounded by several other lights in a circle."

On the morning of Friday the 24th of April of this year employees at MeteoSwiss (Switzerland's meteorological department) got the surprise of their lives. Huge circular fields hovering over Switzerland were picked up by their radars (picture above). The blue coloured circles covered the entire country. The question was asked as to whether a massive UFO was in the upper-atmosphere above the scenic mountainous nation or perhaps these circles were signs of an imminent hurricane.

The National University of Singapore has put up a notice "warning" students of a headless woman ghost in the campus, reported Sin Chew Daily.

It also gives information on other spirits.

The notice also talks about the sounds of Japanese soldiers marching up and down the corridors and lights being randomly switched on and off.

Malaysia: 'Ghost' pays second visit to spooked Malay schoolgirls

It was certainly a case of spooky return when a ghostly apparition that scared the wits out of some 50 schoolgirls in Langgar, Malaysia on April 26, made a second appearance in the premises yesterday.

Other girls from Forms One to Four of SMK Langgar became frantic after they claimed they saw the apparition in the school canteen at 9.30am.

In an immediate reaction, State Education director Shahidan Abdul Rahman advised those affected by the incidents to stay home.

"We are still investigating the matter and I advise those still disturbed by the incidents to stay home," The New Strait Times Online quoted him as saying.

US: UFO investigators reveal possible otherworldly relic

UFO investigators held a press conference at the Roswell Civic and Convention Center on Thursday to announce that they found ... something.

"At this point, we don't know what it was or why it was there," said UFO investigator Chuck Zukowski. "I don't want to speculate."

"We want to announce to the world that this stuff needs further analysis," explained Dr. Bill Doleman, a retired archaeologist who supervised the dig where the items were found.

The artifacts were discovered in 2002 during a dig sponsored by the Sci Fi Channel, at a site where some eyewitnesses say a mysterious craft ricocheted off the ground in 1947.

US: Georgia's Mysterious Cow Killer

There's an unidentified feline cryptid roaming around Georgia these days. The Statesboro Herald has the latest.

Something killed a cow and injured another Saturday night, April 25, 2009, near Olive Branch Road in Bryan County, Georgia, and Bryan County Animal Control Officer Valerie Barnard said her coworker - and a Department of Natural Resources ranger who went along with him - said the attack was from "a big cat."

But Ranger Randy Tinley, of the Brunswick DNR office, said no one from his office has "confirmed ... or denied" the attack was the work of a large feline.

Neither the Bryan County Animal Control officer nor the DNR ranger who actually responded to the call were available for comment Wednesday, and neither returned calls. However, Barnard said she spoke for Bryan County Animal Control officer Thomas Sanders, who responded to a call from an elderly man on Olive Branch Road who reported one cow dead and another seriously injured in an attack that took place sometime late Saturday, she said.

Northern Ireland: Puma spotted in Ballymoney

A large cat like animal which was spotted up a tree in the Charlotte Street area of Ballymoney recently is believed to have been a puma.

It has been a number of years since previous reports of 'large cat-like creatures' roaming the North Coast area and The Chronicle can confirm that those animals reportedly seen at the time were never captured.

The area in which the 'puma' was spotted last Thursday is within a short distance of several schools where hundreds of children play daily.

Mrs Carmel McCallum, a mother of two, told The Chronicle how she and her husband Walter saw something big and black up a tree in the field at the bottom of their garden and went to investigate.

She said: "We were looking out the window at the back of our house and I saw something black up the tree in the field behind the garden. I realised it was far too big to be a bird so we went outside so we could get a closer look.
