A major food crisis coming in 2023? "Prices will be on steroids after the election"

We are being warned that food prices in the U.S. are going to go absolutely haywire after the election in November. I am taking such warnings very seriously, and I believe that you should too. Global officials have been telling us over and over again that we are heading into an unprecedented global food crisis, and I have been writing about this again and again in recent weeks. But so far, the vast majority of the population doesn't seem to be taking this seriously. Agricultural production is going to be way below expectations all over the planet in 2022, and that means that there will be far less food to go around in 2023.

Let me give you a perfect example of what I am talking about. Just within the last couple of days, it has been reported that there will be crop losses "of up to 50 percent" in the German state of Baden-Württemberg...
Crop losses of up to 50 percent are now expected in parts of Germany due to drought, farmers in affected regions have claimed.

Up to half of the crops in parts of the German state of Baden-Württemberg are likely to be lost due to drought, farmers in the region have claimed, with problems to do with the prices of fuel, fertiliser, and pesticides connected to the green agenda and war in Ukraine also reportedly causing problems for those in the region.
These are crop losses that haven't happened yet.

A nine-year-old girl was fatally shot in Liverpool after a gunman burst into her family's home chasing another man who did not live there, police said.

Merseyside police named the victim as Olivia Pratt-Korbel, who was getting ready for bed at the time.

Serena Kennedy, the force's chief constable, said the girl's family had been "torn apart" by the shooting in the Dovecot area of the city on Monday night. They were "absolutely devastated, inconsolable and heartbroken", she added.

Police said Olivia's mother, Cheryl Korbel, appeared to have opened her front door in Kingsheath Avenue to see what was happening after hearing shots in the street. A 35-year-old man then forced his way into the house followed by the gunman.

Irony: Teachers union head who is partnered with left-wing disinformation group shares fake news

Randi Weingarten
American Federation of Teachers (AFT) President Randi Weingarten admitted to sharing fake news Sunday when the union leader published a list of supposedly banned books in Florida.

"Books we have taught for generations!" Weingarten wrote in a quote tweet amplifying the list from an account called "Freesus Patriot," which refused to reveal its sources. Titles include classics from "To Kill a Mockingbird" and "The Handmaid's Tale" to the Harry Potter novels. The list of purportedly blacklisted books, however, was entirely made up, with many remaining in K-12 curricula throughout the state.

"My bad," Weingarten wrote in a follow-up post. "Looks like some of the books weren't banned."

Comment: Well, we always knew the disinformation guardians were the biggest source of disinformation.

A crowd of demonstrators took to the streets to denounce remaining Covid mandates.

Protesters converged around New Zealand's parliament to condemn the government's response to the Covid-19 pandemic, drawing a heavy police response and a crowd of counter-demonstrators.

Tuesday's action saw around 2,000 people gather at the parliament building in Wellington, according to the Associated Press, which noted that law enforcement had made preparations in the area to prevent any major unrest, blocking off roads, erecting barricades, and barring demonstrators from bringing structures onto the grounds.

Canadian soldier with PTSD 'outraged' when VA suggested euthanasia

canadian soldier
© ShutterstockCanada legalized MAID in 2016, with 2021 amendments broadening eligibility for those requesting the procedure.
A Canadian armed forces veteran suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder and a traumatic brain injury was offered medical assistance in dying by an employee of Veterans Affairs Canada.

The VAC released a statement last week admitting to an incident "where medical assistance in dying was discussed inappropriately" with the veteran. The department pledged that "appropriate administrative action will be taken" after the veteran expressed outrage at the suggestion, according to a report in Global News.

According to the report, the veteran called VAC seeking support for PTSD when the employee brought up medical assistance in dying, or euthanasia, unprompted. The veteran was reportedly shocked by the suggestion. His family told Global News that the soldier had been making positive progress in his physical and mental rehabilitation and that he felt betrayed by an agency that is tasked with assisting veterans.

Comment: It's probably the cheapest solution they've got on the books and they're probably told to offer it, if not push for it.

Google has an automated tool to detect abusive images of children. But the system can get it wrong, and the consequences are serious.

Mark noticed something amiss with his toddler. His son's penis looked swollen and was hurting him. Mark, a stay-at-home dad in San Francisco, grabbed his Android smartphone and took photos to document the problem so he could track its progression.

It was a Friday night in February 2021. His wife called an advice nurse at their health care provider to schedule an emergency consultation for the next morning, by video because it was a Saturday and there was a pandemic going on. The nurse said to send photos so the doctor could review them in advance.

Russians increasingly disillusioned with Western values - poll

russia city
© Sputnik / Alexey MaishevWestern democracy and culture are destructive, every fourth Russian says
The number of Russians who believe Western values to be beneficial to the country has fallen drastically in the last 20 years, according to a poll conducted earlier this month by the Russian Public Opinion Research Center (VCIOM) and published on Tuesday.

"The West is not only a culture, but a whole system of socio-political and economic patterns and models," wrote the pollsters, noting that while Russian society largely looked to the West in the 1990s, it has since changed its attitude towards Western values.

Back in 2000, only 10% of respondents felt that Western democracy and civilization were "harmful for Russians," according to the poll. Now, however, that number has risen to 26%.

UK economy shrank record 11% in 2020, worst since end of World War I

Britain recorded its biggest fall in output in more than 300 years in 2020 when it faced the brunt of the COVID-19 pandemic, as well as a larger decline than any other major economy, updated official figures showed on Monday.

Gross domestic product fell by 11.0% in 2020, the Office for National Statistics said. This was a bigger drop than any of the ONS's previous estimates and the largest fall since 1709, according to historical data hosted by the Bank of England.

British statisticians regularly update GDP estimates as more data becomes available.

The ONS's initial estimates had already suggested that in 2020 Britain suffered its biggest fall in output since the "Great Frost" of 1709. But more recently the ONS had revised down the scale of the fall to 9.3%, the largest since just after World War One.

Comment: So, the lockdowns had a similar effect on the economy as either a little ice age or a world war.

Comment: The economy has not 'bounced back', the businesses that didn't go under simply got back to work - thanks to the taxpayer funding billions in government furlough loans - however, now, many are teetering on the edge of bankruptcy, and the culmination of incompetence and corruption is beginning to bite - it's also reaching a crescendo - and so the next few years promise to be many, many times worse: 'Inflation timebomb': 500,000 UK small businesses 'at risk of going bust within weeks'

100s of unvaccinated teachers in Queensland to have pay docked and face disciplinary action, amidst a nationwide teacher shortage

Tracy Tully
Secretary of the Teachers Professional Association of Queensland Tracy Tully came out against the letter, due to the fact the reprimanded teachers had been working in schools throughout two years of Covid.
An "unconscionable" letter has been sent out advising teachers in Queensland that they will have their pay docked if they haven't got the Covid-19 vaccine.

Education Department assistant director-general in human resources Anne Crowley penned a letter telling hundreds of teachers who refused to get the jab that they would face incremental pay cuts over 20 weeks.

It came after all unvaccinated teachers in the state were placed under investigation for failing to comply with a direction from the Education Department and were suspended without pay from December 2021.

As per the Public Service Act, if a teacher is being investigated they are suspended on full pay unless it is a criminal charge, The Courier Mail reported.
