At least two separate flight crews landing at Los Angeles International Airport on Sunday night reported seeing what appeared to be a "guy in a jetpack" flying near them.

According to tower tapes obtained by Fox 11 and other news outlets, the first pilot was landing an American Airlines plane when he saw the person flying about 300 yards in the air.

"We just passed a guy in a jetpack," the pilot said.

A second pilot reportedly flying a JetBlue plane confirmed they also saw a "guy passing by them in a jetpack."

The Hill has reached out to the Federal Aviation Administration, which is reportedly looking into the incident.

The situation is reportedly being looked at as a drone sighting.

lumes chicago drive by shooting
The shooting was reported before 2 p.m. Sunday outside Lumes Pancake House, which is located at 11601 S. Western Ave. in the Morgan Park neighborhood.
Lumes Pancake House in Morgan Park remains closed, following a deadly shooting Sunday that left one man dead and four others injured. Police saying Monday, in no uncertain terms, it was a planned hit.

"He was 100% targeted. They stood over and shot him after they originally shot," Chief of Detective Brendan Deenihan said.

A man who Chicago police said was shot at Lumes Pancake House in Morgan Park Sunday afternoon has been identified.

Devon Welsh, 31, of Chicago was identified as the man fatally shot at the restaurant at 11601 South Western Avenue at about 1:30 p.m., according to police and the Cook County Medical Examiner's office.

While no arrests have been made, police said they are following up on surveillance video captured from the restaurant which they believe identifies both the gunmen and the vehicle the suspects were in.

Despite near-daily efforts to show America how woke they are, or, because of it, the NBA's playoff ratings are still tanking.

"Weekday afternoon games have certainly hurt, but the first weekend of the NBA Playoffs was no ratings bonanza either," Sports Media Watch reported.

Viewership on ABC is down 23 percent and the numbers are down 20 percent overall compared to last year's playoffs

"The Lakers' win ranks as ABC's least-watched playoff opener in five years (2015 Pelicans-Warriors: 3.49M), with the caveat that this year marked the first time since 2004 that it did not air a game on the opening day of the postseason," Sports Media Watch added.

Comment: Who could have predicted that when sports began broadcasting politics they would lose viewers who wanted to watch sports?

Portland rioters light fire to occupied apartment building believed to house Mayor Wheeler

Oregon State Police will return to Portland to help local authorities after the fatal shooting of a man following clashes between President Donald Trump supporters and counter-protesters that led to an argument between the president and the city's mayor over who was to blame for the violence.
Portland police declared a riot Monday night after left-wing protesters marched on the apartment building where they believe Mayor Ted Wheeler lives, launching fireworks at the building and starting a fire.

Witnesses and police said some of the 150 or so rioters smashed windows of an apartment building, stole furniture then used it as kindling to light the fires, including one on the lower floor of an occupied apartment building.

Officers said they repeatedly tried to hold back to deescalate the situation, apparently on orders of the city's leadership, but the fires forced them to intervene and clear the scene with crowd control weapons โ€” though they said no tear gas was used.

Top medical advisor to Trump attacked for urging sensible herd immunity strategy

Neuroradiologist Scott Atlas
Health officials are alarmed as a pandemic adviser pushes the White House to adopt Sweden's controversial herd immunity strategy, The Washington Post reports.

Neuroradiologist Scott Atlas, a top medical adviser to President Trump, has urged the White House to implement a pandemic strategy of trying to protect vulnerable groups while letting COVID-19 spread through most of the country so that healthy people can build up immunity to the virus, modeling the way Sweden has responded to the coronavirus crisis, the report says.

A senior administration official described Atlas, who reportedly meets with Trump nearly every day, as the "anti-Dr. Fauci," though the Post notes he doesn't have a background in infectious diseases or epidemiology. He has reportedly clashed with members of the coronavirus task force including Fauci and Dr. Deborah Birx.

Comment: The Washington Post is in the business of lies. Their estimations mean nothing, yet somehow they're to be taken more seriously than both medical experts and actual data? Everyone who has looked at this without fear or paranoia knows this virus is only to be taken seriously for a very small portion of the population. It makes perfect sense to let it run its course (which is what is happening anyway despite immensely destructive restrictions).

We might have to wait forever for science to show the Covid threat is over, so let's use our common sense & get back to normal

It's time to stop fetishizing scientific methods. We have to accept that there are many elements of Covid-19 that science may never understand and if we wait for it to do so, we will never again be able to live a normal life.

The Covid-19 outbreak is largely over, and man's attempts to slow, stop or understand the virus have failed. Science will eventually discover more about the pandemic but it is a slow process.

Science, if it is working properly, will not come to a conclusion that is wholly wrong. But not everything that is true can be established by a randomized control trial followed by peer review. Take the theory, popularized by Dr John Lee's work in the Spectator, that Covid has become less deadly as it spreads, and is now basically inert.

This would perfectly explain why so many people died of Covid-19 in a short period of time, and why deaths have basically flat-lined since April. It fits with many Covid studies confirming fast evolution, different strains and reinfection. Furthermore, a change to the virus itself could explain why the same patterns in deaths have been seen everywhere, irrespective of lockdowns, demographics, contact tracing or any other scheme.

Politicians have hit out at extremists and corona-skeptics who attempted to enter Germany's parliament building after police shut down their demonstration. Hundreds of people were arrested.

German politicians on Sunday said they were outraged after several hundred people attempted to break into the Reichstag โ€” the federal parliament building in Berlin โ€” as part of a vast protest against the country's coronavirus restrictions.

President Frank-Walter Steinmeier described the incident as an "unbearable attack on the heart of our democracy."

Comment: Oh cry us a river. They just stood on the steps singing songs.

Comment: Yup. And it's the govt's own fault for going full Covid retard. They have hordes of obedient followers, yes, but they have also spooked the human half of the so-called 'human family' into a heightened state of alertness/awareness.

There was also a LOT of support for Trump at this mass demonstration:

Journalist declares 'one-man war against critical race theory' after nuke lab holds 'white privilege' training

Chris Rufo nuclear lab
A major nuclear laboratory forced white male executives to undergo "white privilege" training that amounted to "racism masquerading as anti-racism," City Journal contributing editor Chris Rufo told "Tucker Carlson Tonight" Thursday.

"This was a mandatory program for white male executives where they were supposed to essentially break down their white male identity, confess their sins to diversity trainers," Rufio told host Tucker Carlson of the session at Sandia National Laboratories. "And at the end of this session, they actually had to write letters of apology to women and people of color based on what they learned about their own privilege.

"It's nothing more than a cult indoctrination session that's based on critical race theory, something that is spreading like wildfire through our public institutions," Rufo added. "And it's, you know, almost more dangerous than the nuclear weapons themselves."

The cops involved in the shooting of Jacob Blake โ€” which touched off a fresh wave of angry, anti-police sentiment across the country โ€” were attempting to arrest him for violating a restraining order stemming from an alleged sexual assault, The Post has learned.

Blake, 29, was forbidden from going to the Kenosha home of his alleged victim from the May 3 incident, and police were dispatched Sunday following a 911 call saying he was there.

The responding officers were aware he had an open warrant for felony sexual assault, according to dispatch records and the Kenosha Professional Police Association, which released a statement on the incident on Friday.

'Shoot on-site': Chicago gangs form pact to execute cops who draw weapons on suspects, says FBI

chicago gang
The FBI has warned Chicago-area law enforcement that nearly three-dozen street gangs "have formed a pact to 'shoot on-site any cop that has a weapon drawn on any subject in public'," reports ABC7.

According to an August 26 'situation information report' from Chicago-based FBI officials, "members of these gang factions have been actively searching for, and filming, police officers in performance of their official duties. The purpose of which is to catch on film an officer drawing his/her weapon on any subject and the subsequent 'shoot on-site' of said officer, in order to garner national media attention."
Alerts based on police intelligence, no matter how unspecific, are frequently distributed to law enforcement agencies according to investigators, especially when they involve threats to officers. The FBI's "Potential Activity Alert" is from "a contact whose reporting is limited and whose reliability cannot be determined." That could mean the information came from a police street source, a cooperating witness in an ongoing case, or from discussions overheard on a wiretap or other surveillance recording. -ABC7
