Financial analyst: 'Weeks away from whole s***house coming down'

hundred dollar
Precious metals expert and financial writer Bill Holter said in June it was "game over, they're pulling the plug." The Fed went on an aggressive interest rate raising policy and is still raising rates. Now, the economy is staggering. Holter explains,
"For sure, we are already in a recession. We are now in the third quarter of negative growth. I think it is laughable that people put odds on whether or not we are going to go into a recession because it is obvious -we are already in a recession. Rates rising have absolutely frozen the real estate market. If you own a property, who is going to buy it? Rates have gone from 3.25% to more than 7%. I am on the record that once we saw a 3% yield on the 10-Year Treasury, you would start to see a tightness in credit. Now, we are over 4%. What few people are talking about is what has this already done to the derivatives market? . . . Think about how big the derivatives market is. Total credit worldwide is $350 trillion, but you have derivatives pushing $2 quadrillion. I have said this all along, derivatives will blow up. Warren Buffett has called them financial weapons of mass destruction. They are far bigger than central banks can fix."

Units of the British Navy were involved in a "terrorist attack", which destroyed the key Nord Stream gas pipelines, the Russian Defence Ministry alleged on Saturday.

Writing on its official Telegram channel, the ministry alleged that Royal Navy operatives "took part in planning, supporting and implementing" the plot to blow up the infrastructure in September. It did not provide any direct evidence to support its assertion.

The accusation follows a Russian Foreign Ministry claim that NATO conducted a military exercise during the summer, close to the location where the undersea explosions occurred.

Comment: Germany, Denmark and Sweden have helped confirm Russia's statement by refusing to release the details of their findings: Sweden refuses to share results of Nord Stream attack investigation with Germany and Denmark

NATO applicant outlines stance on hosting nuclear weapons Finnish PM Sanna Marin won't rule out the US-led bloc deploying weapons of mass destruction in the Nordic country.
NATO could establish permanent bases or deploy nuclear weapons in Finland once the country joins the bloc, Prime Minister Sanna Marin has warned, although she added that the latter scenario is unlikely.

"I've considered it very important that we don't set these kinds of pre-conditions, or limit our own room for maneuvering, when it comes to permanent bases or nuclear weapons," Marin said on Finland's Yle TV1 channel on Saturday.

She promptly qualified her statement by adding that such a development was not necessarily on the cards.

Russian President Vladimir Putin praised Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman (MbS) on 27 October, and described him as "a young, determined man of character," adding that he deserved "respect" for seeking a balanced position in the oil market in line with his country's national interests, Reuters reported.

During the Valdai discussion club, Putin affirmed that Saudi Arabia is a rapidly developing country:
"This is also due to the fact that the Crown Prince, the government of Saudi Arabia has very big plans for diversifying the economy, which is very important. They have entire national development plans designed for this goal."
He underlined the importance of boosting ties with Saudi Arabia and developing relations with this country both bilaterally and on multilateral platforms. He also expressed his support for Saudi Arabia joining the BRICS group which is formed of Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa.

Comment: Claws extended, US accusations and condemnations will not repair the rift with Saudi Arabia.

The United States has accelerated the program for new B61-12 nuclear bombs for Europe. The upgraded and more accurate version of its nuclear air-dropped gravity bomb is expected to arrive in NATO bases in Europe in December, according to a U.S. diplomatic cable, the Belgian media Politico reported on Thursday.

The move, which involves replacing older weapons with the newer version at various storage facilities in Europe for potential use by U.S. and allied bombers and fighter jets, comes amid heightened tensions over Russia's threats to use a nuclear weapon in Ukraine.

The original timeline for replacement was set for the spring of 2023. However, according to defense expert the US wants to show Russia it is ready to act accordingly should the need be and the war in Ukraine escalates and transcends its borders.

The new B61-12 nuclear bombs will be shipped to Germany, Belgium, Italy, the Netherlands and Turkey. The $10 billion B61-12 Life Extension Program is managed by the US Department of Energy and is meant to replace several earlier versions, with 100 upgraded nuclear bombs.

Best of the Web: Meet the spooks, mercs and chickenhawk politicos enlisting as NAFO trolls

Read part one of Alex Rubinstein's ongoing investigative series on NAFO, "How the pro-Ukraine NAFO troll operation crowd-funds war criminals."

While fundraising for a notoriously brutal militia in Ukraine and trolling critics of the proxy war, the membership roll of "North Atlantic Fellas Organization" has filled up with NATO suits, congressional chickenhawks, neocon operatives, mercenaries and intel agents.

When he is not shedding performative tears over the fate of US democracy or publicly guffawing over the apparent assassination of Iranian military officials, Representative Adam Kinzinger (R-IL) has sought to define himself as a leading opponent of perceived antisemitism in Washington DC. When his colleague, Democratic Rep. Ilhan Omar of Minnesota, mildly criticized of the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC) in 2019, Kinzinger called on congressional leaders to strip her of top committee assignments.

New British PM Rishi Sunak, Thélème and Moderna

rishi sunak moderna
In his first public remarks as the new leader, Sunak said: "It is the greatest privilege of my life to be able to serve the party I love and give back to the country I owe so much to."

There are two remarkable phrases within this one statement. First, Sunak considers it a privilege to "serve the party." Not to serve UK citizens, but to "serve the party."

Secondly, "give back to the country I owe so much to." Born in Southampton, England, Sunak is one of the UK's wealthiest politicians but chose to defend his wife who avoided paying tax in the UK. The BBC estimated Sunak's wife avoided £2.1m a year in UK tax and a total of £15 million since 2015. Meanwhile, Sunak and his wife were named on the Sunday Times rich list as the 222nd wealthiest people in the UK. Has he given back what he owes?

Comment: Sunak has repeatedly refused to disclose whether he beneitfs from Theleme's investments in Moderna:
But when questioned by journalists, Sunak refused to disclose whether his investments included a stake in either Theleme's fund or Moderna when his blind trust was created.
