The picture of the UFO over a Wrexham nursing home
Strange lights have once again been spotted in the night sky above Wrexham - this time over a nursing home. The most recent photograph was taken by Janet White at about 7.15pm on Friday, outside Emerald House, a nursing home on Chester Road, Wrexham.

The sighting will no doubt fuel further speculation north east Wales is one of the UK's leading UFO hotspots.

Janet said: "Me and my friend Rachel went outside for a break and as soon as we got out that door I could see this orange globe."

UK: Mysterious lights above Fort William and Ardgour spark UFO riddle

Lochaber residents have been left baffled after encounters with mysterious UFOs. And their sightings tie in with other experiences in the Highlands and across the UK.

Only last week, a turbine on a wind farm in Lincolnshire was badly damaged after locals saw similar lights in the sky, one of which was seen heading towards the farm site. This has prompted claims from Ministry of Defence insiders that the turbine could have been wrecked by a secret stealth bomber on a training mission in the vicinity.

Now locals here are looking for answers after several sightings of mysterious yellow/orange lights in the skies above Fort William and Ardgour just before New Year.

UK: Big Cat sightings on Cannock Chase

Hawks Green residents have been told to be on their guard after several eyewitnesses claimed to have spied the mysterious Chase big cat prowling near residential areas.

The warnings come at a time when sightings of the cat have rocketed and ramblers have encountered several stripped deer carcasses and strange paw prints over the Chase.

Earlier this month big cat experts said the existence of a big cat over the expansive forestland was a real possibility.

The Lincolnshire "UFO" which allegedly damaged a wind turbine might have been written off by MoD insiders as a secret unmanned stealth bomber test, but one Lancashire man is still seeking an explanation for the strange lights he saw over Lostock Hall on New Year's Day.

Taxi driver and father-of-five Nigel Moore, of Spring Gardens, Leyland, was working a night shift and driving along Todd Lane North at 1.40am when he spotted two bright lights fairly low in the sky.

Did you hear it? It happened again. Rattled every house on the block last night.

Lexington chatter is lately dominated by talk of two occurrences of a loud noise in or near the town's center that no one can quite figure out.

The first powerful whatever-it-is happened around 11:30 Sunday night. People in the Grimes School area heard it, as did folks in Hillcrest and around. The sound was a short burst, less than a second, but was something strong enough to jangle the foundation of more than one solid house.

Allegedly taken by Fernando Yañez Munoz, a staff sergeant in the Chilean army, on December 6, 2008, the Volcán Llaima photo presents a stunning volcanic landscape and a bright spot of light on its upper right hand side: an alleged UFO. While this image is remarkably attractive, and would make a fine cover for a saucer-related book or periodical, there is reason to believe that the digital photo's true nature is far closer to the mundane.

A couple from Sands are baffled after seeing a mysterious red triangle that crossed the skies of High Wycombe last night.

At around 8.20pm Hilary Payne was inside her home in Lane End Road when her husband Garry, who was working in the garden, called her to look at the strange object in the sky.

She said: "It made absolutely no sound, coming from west to east as if it was coming over from West Wycombe Estate.

"We were quite spooked out by it, my husband and I."

Jan. 5, 2009 - A low flying V-shaped object was spotted by a Dan Ryan, Expressway driver just before 5 a.m. at the Cumberland Exit, according to information filed with the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) database.

The stationary craft was first visible to the man as he saw four lights in the sky - three green and one white. He noticed "divisions" between the lights.

"I could see what looked like light grey metal separating the lights, and a design that reminded me of mother of pearl coloring, shaped like frothy waves going up the metal divisions."

An Observer reader claims to have spotted a UFO flying over the town centre at the start of 2009.

Retired management consultant Noel Schofield, of Keppel Road, said he saw the strange object when he arrived home with his wife at about 12.30am on January 1 after spending the evening at a party.

Mr Schofield told the Observer: "At first I thought it was a police helicopter but it made no sound, it was just floating across the sky. It looked like a great big balloon on fire.

"It was about 1500 ft up and floating somewhere over West Hill (...] and was bigger than a small plane.

A mysterious object spotted sailing across the sunny skies of Purley has left residents and a UFO expert scratching their heads.

The blurry entity was snapped by John Barrett, 48, as he was walking across Higher Drive Recreation Ground at about 1.25pm last Friday.

His wife Claire, 42, then sent the picture to the Advertiser.

She said: "My husband was taking a walk and looked up at the trees covered in frost from the ice and snow lately, then spotted something moving steadily in the sky.

"It basically kept moving and eventually disappeared in the distance and faded away."
