Syria's Foreign Minister Faysal Mikdad said on 4 September that his country "prefers not to raise" the issue of regaining its seat in the Arab League during the bloc's next summit in Algeria this November.

Mikdad's comment came during a telephone call with Algerian Foreign Minister Ramtane Lamamra, during which they discussed Syria's relationship with the Arab League.

Mikdad attributed Syria's position to its keenness to "contribute to uniting the Arab world and ranks in facing the challenges posed by the current situation at the regional and international levels."

Incoming UK PM may be 'disaster' for entire country says scandal-ridden Scottish leader Sturgeon

Sturgeon mask
People in Scotland may have to wear masks in public places for years to come, Nicola Sturgeon has warned
Scottish First Minister Nicola Sturgeon has claimed that the incoming UK Prime Minister Liz Truss could turn out to be "a disaster not only for Scotland but for all of the UK."

Her remarks came in response to a Sunday Times report suggesting that Truss' team was considering raising the vote threshold for a potential second Scottish independence referendum.

Speaking to Sky News on Sunday, a day before the foreign secretary was revealed as the winner of the leadership contest, Sturgeon said talk about blocking a referendum or "gerrymandering the rules" was a sign of "fundamental weakness."

Comment: She's certainly competition for most disastrous leader, Nicola:

Liz Truss wins race to be next U.K. leader, succeeds Boris Johnson

Truss beat former finance minister Rishi Sunak to be elected leader of the ruling Conservative Party on Monday. She inherits a country facing a dire winter energy crisis, widespread strikes and economic recession.

Truss will be Britain's next prime minister after she was elected leader of the ruling Conservative Party on Monday, ending a race to succeed the scandal-tarnished Boris Johnson.

Truss, 47, has served as foreign secretary and was the clear front-runner for the job. She clinched victory by appealing to the right-wing party faithful as a tax-cutting, anti-"woke" candidate who would take a hard line on post-Brexit dealings with the European Union.

Comment: Britain seems to have replaced one clown with another, but she will be bearing the brunt of it, as Johnson's lunatic foreign policies moves in Ukraine come to fruition in the form of energy and commodity shortages for the the British people. As he well knew. Stay turned

Timothy Thibault, the FBI agent alleged to have interfered with an investigation into Hunter Biden, was assigned by the Washington Field Office as "point man" to manage whistleblower Tony Bobulinski, the first son's former business partner, before the 2020 election โ€” but he suppressed his damning revelations, sources say.

Bobulinski spent over five hours secretly being interviewed by the FBI on Oct. 23, 2020, about his inside knowledge of then-presidential candidate Joe Biden's involvement in his son's business deals with China.

The previous day, he had revealed in a press conference that Joe Biden was the "Big Guy" due to get a 10% cut of a lucrative joint venture with Chinese energy firm CEFC, according to an email found on Hunter's abandoned laptop.

Trump drops harsh Labor Day Truths

Former President Donald Trump delivered a grim diagnosis of the United States and in a flurry of Truth Social posts to start Labor Day.

Trump's array of declarations took aim at the FBI over its raid of his Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida last month, the investigation into President Joe Biden's son Hunter Biden, crime, inflation, election integrity, and more. The Truth Social posts preceded the president delivering Labor Day remarks in Milwaukee and Pittsburgh โ€” cities in Wisconsin and Pennsylvania, respectively, that could be critical to the Democrats' midterm election fortunes.

Trump, repeating an assertion about his teenage son that he made in Pennsylvania on Saturday, said:
"So they riffled through the living quarters of my 16 year old son, Barron, and the loved and respected former First Lady of the United States, Melania. But, despite proven high crimes and treason, and just plain common theft, all pointed out in the Laptop from Hell (and elsewhere), they never Raided or Broke Into the house of Hunter Biden or, perhaps even more importantly, the house of Joe Biden โ€” A treasure trove!

"This is a Country that's unfair and broken. We are truly a Nation in Decline!!!"

Comment: The contrasts between Trump and Biden could not be more evident.

IAEA mission leaves Zaporozhye nuclear plant

IAEA
© Genya Savilov/AFPUnited Nations IAEA inspection mission departs Zaporozhye.
A delegation from the UN's International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) has left the Russian-controlled Zaporozhye nuclear power plant (NPP) in Ukraine, TASS reported on Monday.

Renat Karchaa, a Russian nuclear expert who accompanied the mission, says two of its members will remain at the facility. Last week, IAEA chief Rafael Grossi, who also inspected the plant, claimed that the agency would "establish a continued presence" there.

According to the Russia 24 TV channel, the IAEA will publish its findings on Tuesday.
"All their conclusions will be reflected in the report, which, as preliminary information suggests, is planned for release for tomorrow, when Rafael Grossi will deliver his remarks."
The mission left the facility earlier than expected. Vladimir Rogov, a member of the Russia-controlled military-civilian administration, told RIA that IAEA experts would continue working at the facility throughout Monday, before leaving on Tuesday, saying that they may even extend their mission.

Comment: Thanks from the UN expressed to Russia:
The UN appreciates Russia's efforts to safeguard the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) team that came to inspect the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant, on Thursday.

That's according to the secretary-general's chief spokesman, who was speaking after the Russian Defense Ministry said it was "bewildered" at the lack of reaction to an alleged Ukrainian attempt to seize the facility by force.

Stephane Dujarric told reporters at a briefing in New York, when asked about Moscow's comments:
"We are glad that the Russian Federation did what it needed to do to keep our inspectors safe. As with any UN mission, it is the responsibility of those who control a certain area to keep the UN staff safe."
He also thanked the "security people" and "drivers" for the "tremendous job" of getting the IAEA team safely in and out of the Zaporozhye NPP.

The mission, led by IAEA director Rafael Grossi, was delayed at a Ukrainian checkpoint on Thursday morning. It eventually made its way to Russian-controlled Energodar and toured the facility for several hours, before heading back to Ukrainian-controlled territory.

Right before their visit, however, Ukrainian artillery targeted the city of Energodar and the Zaporozhye NPP itself, while a group of commandos crossed the Kakhovka Reservoir by boat and attempted to storm the facility, the Russian Defense Ministry said.

Both the initial assault group and the reinforcements that followed were wiped out by the National Guard and combat helicopters, the Russian military said. Their goal, according to Moscow, was to seize the Russian-held power plant and use the IAEA staff as "human shields" to maintain control over the facility.

Electric vehicle facts the establishment doesn't want you to know

Justin EV
Unknown
Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has made it a priority for his government to promote electric vehicles (EVs) and have the Canadian population convert to "zero-emission vehicles" in the near future to reduce emissions and shrink Canada's carbon footprint.

However, the case hasn't been made that the transition to EVs will necessarily reduce emissions. Additionally, the rapid transition to EVs may not be practical for the average Canadian.

Electric vehicles are known for their questionable reliability, high sticker prices and shocking environmental and humanitarian impact.

Ottawa: A CAUTIONARY TALE FOR GOVERNMENTS AROUND THE WORLD

Puppet Master (departed): Maurice Strong and the roots of the Great Reset agenda

Strong's idea of a "fictional book" (hint):

"What if a small group of world leaders were to conclude that the principal risk to the Earth comes from the actions of the rich countries? And if the world is to survive, those rich countries would have to sign an agreement reducing their impact on the environment. Will they do it? The group's conclusion is 'no'. The rich countries won't do it. They won't change. So, in order to save the planet, the group decides: Isn't the only hope for the planet that the industrialized civilizations collapse? Isn't it our responsibility to bring that about?"

Sanctions to blame for suspension of Nord Stream 1 maintenance - Russia

Pipes at the landfall facilities of the Nord Stream 1 gas pipeline in Lubmin, Germany, July 21, 2022.
The pause to the gas supplies through the Nord Stream 2 pipeline was caused not by Gazprom's own actions, but by Europe's violation of the maintenance agreements of the pipeline's equipment, Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov explained.

"If Europeans absolutely absurdly make a decision refusing to conduct maintenance of [Gazprom's] equipment, which they must service under the contract, then this is not the fault of Gazprom, it is the fault of those politicians who made the decision to impose sanctions," Peskov said, RIA Novosti reported.

The Kremlin spokesman lashed out at EU governments, saying that it was their fault that their own citizens are "shell-shocked" seeing current electricity bills. He pointed out that the situation will only worsen when temperatures fall.

Peskov stressed that Gazprom did nothing to undermine its reputation as a reliable supplier of energy resources, which it has been working on for decades. He stated that all the blame in the current situation lies with western states.

Comment: The US continues to buy Uranium from Russia, and certain EU states continue to buy oil and gas, meanwhile there are other areas where these sanctions are enforced mercilessly, such as with the Nord Stream I turbine that was delayed, and Canada and Germany themselves admitted as much. Moreover, Siemens is overseeing much of the ongoing work at Nord Stream I, so if Russia was lying, they'd surely be speaking out about it. Finally, Nord Stream II simply needs certifying by Germany and it could, in theory, be brought online.

Taken together, the West, and the EU more specifically, is sabotaging the maintenance of their energy supply which they know will result in incredible suffering for their citizens and the overall destruction of their economies, by way of enforced energy rationing, blackouts, businesses going bankrupt, and citizens being forced to choose between heating and eating.
