Michael Flynn's prosecution was an appalling travesty of justice

flynn mueller
Michael Flynn and Robert Mueller
It has long been obvious that the case brought by Special Counsel Robert Mueller against Michael Flynn stunk to high heaven. That has been copiously confirmed over the last three weeks as the Justice Department made a series of stunning disclosures that undermined whatever vestige of propriety remained.

General Flynn, former head of the Defense Intelligence Agency, served fleetingly as President Trump's first national security advisor. At the time, in the wake of Hillary Clinton's stunning defeat in the 2016 election, the media-Democrat complex fueled a "collusion" narrative โ€” purportedly, Trump had schemed with Russia to hack Democratic email accounts, and would now do the Kremlin's bidding from the Oval Office.

Flynn was caught up in this fever dream because, as a top Trump campaign adviser and transition official, he had some conversations with the Russian ambassador โ€” just as he was speaking with many foreign dignitaries.

Comment: Defense lawyer Sydney Powell deserves immense credit for her efforts to obtain justice for General Flynn:

Iran says it's in Syria to stay, and Damascus's response towards Israel is only postponed.

Recently, Israel claimed Iran was withdrawing its forces from Syria following the repetitive airstrikes Tel Aviv jets carried out from above Lebanon and additionally violating Iraqi air space. Furthermore, Israeli officials seem to believe that Iran can't accept being challenged in Syria, yet is still far from seeking revenge anytime soon. This is Israeli wishful thinking, wanting to drag Iran into a confrontation according to Tel Aviv's own terms and timetable. This tactic to drag Iran into the war seems to be supported both by Israel and the US, offering President Donald Trump the potential victory he needs for his forthcoming election. It follows his personal failure, and that of his administration, in dealing with the COVID-19 pandemic. But Iran is not walking into this trap.

Sources within the "Axis of the Resistance" believe that
"[I]f Israel tries to drag the 'Axis of the Resistance' into a confrontation, its timing and circumstances may not always be favourable. Israel would indeed like to offer support to Trump following the mounting criticism against him and his administration due to the poor performance and the failure to avoid high casualties caused by the coronavirus. And by pushing Iran towards a confrontation, Israel believed it would be an opportunity for Trump to intervene and register a success provided that Tehran retaliates. However, the Israeli bombing of several objectives in Syria was limited to warehouses and arms depots, intentionally reducing human losses precisely to avoid an equal or greater reaction. However, Israel is also aware that Iran won't respond to its attacks directly but through its allies, with the Iranian fingerprint on the response when suitable".

Rosenstein's 'scope' memo confirms Trump-Russia probe was always a nothing-burger

Rod Rosenstein
© Al Drago/ReutersDeputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein speaks during a news conference at the U.S. District Attorney's office in Washington, D.C. October 15, 2018.
A spurious prosecutor futilely investigated four nobodies who did not commit the nonexistent crimes they were ridiculously accused of.

Finally, three years coming, the Justice Department is showing a little more leg on the Rosenstein "scope" memo โ€” the directive by which then-deputy attorney general Rod Rosenstein defined the parameters of the investigation he'd appointed Special Counsel Robert Mueller to conduct.

Of course, the games never end in the Trump-Russia probe, so there's a hitch. The scope memo remains partially, tantalizingly redacted. Disclosure is limited to Rosenstein's purported grounds for investigating four members of the Trump presidential campaign: Carter Page, Paul Manafort, George Papadopoulos, and Michael Flynn. But six lines of text, which appear to describe a fifth person, and the supposed basis for investigating that person, remain blacked out.

Does this redacted section refer to President Trump? We do not know.

Comment: John Solomon of Just The News adds:
Specifically, Rosenstein's memo instucted Mueller to investigate "allegations that Carter Page committed a crime or crimes by colluding with Russian government officials with respect to the Russian government's efforts to interfere with the 2016 election for President of the United States, in violation of United States law." Recently declassified evidence has shown that by the time that instruction was given, the FBI had:
  • fired Steele as an informant for leaking;
  • interviewed Steele's sub-source, who disputed information attributed to him;
  • ascertained that allegations Steele had given the FBI specifically about Page were inaccurate and likely came from Russian intelligence sources as disinformation;
  • been informed repeatedly by the CIA that Page was not a Russian stooge but, rather, a cooperating intelligence asset for the United States government.
Former House Intelligence Committee Chairman Devin Nunes, who long called for the release of the unredacted scoping memo, said Wednesday's development confirmed his worst suspicions. He accused prior officials of the Justice Department of unnecessarily hiding the evidence from Congress and the American people before Attorney General William Barr intervened.

"This information was redacted until now for one single reason โ€” to hide the fact that false allegations from the Steele dossier were included in Mueller's scoping memo," Nunes told Just the News. "In other words, a bunch of lies paid for by the Democrats were used to engineer the appointment of a Special Counsel to drag the Trump administration through the mud for years. The Russia collusion hoax was a disgrace, and we can't let anything like it ever be repeated."

The degree to which the FBI had discredited Steele's intelligence reporting on Page โ€” including allegations he colluded with Russia โ€” only came into focus with the December, 2019 release of DOJ Inspector General Michael Horowitz's report on FBI abuses of the FISA surveillance that targeted Page. In addition, just-declassified evidence showed the FBI had learned by February 2017 that Steele's information on Page was likely disinformation from Russian intelligence planted with Steele.

"Most relevant to the Carter Page FISA applications, the specific substantive allegations contained in Reports 80, 94, 95, and 102, which were relied upon in all four FISA applications, remained uncorroborated and, in several instances, were inconsistent with information gathered by the team," Horowitz wrote in debunking key allegations against Page.

More recently, declassified footnotes made clear that Steele's claim that Page had met back in 2016 with a senior Russian named Igor Sechin and been offered a lucrative finder's fee had been debunked by the FBI by February 2017 โ€” months before Mueller was appointed. In fact, Steele's own source challenged the veracity of the information attributed to him inside the dossier.

"The Primary Sub-source told the FBI that one of his/her sub-sources furnished information for that part of Report 134 through a text message, but said that the sub-source never stated that Sechin had offered a brokerage interest to Page," Horowitz reported.

"The Primary Sub-Source also told the FBI at these interviews that the sub-source who provided the information about the Carter Page-Sechin meeting had connections to Russian Intelligence Services (RIS)," he added.

Horowitz's footnotes also made clear that the allegations about Page had only come from Steele and had not been substantiated anywhere else by the time Mueller was named.

"We found that the FBI did not have information corroborating the specific allegations against Carter Page in Steele's reporting when it relied upon his reports in the first FISA application or subsequent renewal applications," Horowitz wrote.

Schiff folds, publishes Russiagate transcripts after showdown with DNI Grenell

House Intelligence Committee Chairman Rep. Adam Schiff is planning to selectively release information from some of the 53 declassified transcripts of witnesses that testified before Congress regarding the FBI's Russia probe into the Trump campaign. This move, comes after a long battle against Republican colleagues, who are fighting to make all the transcripts available to the American public, said a U.S. official, with knowledge of Schiff's plans.

Schiff has been fighting the release of the transcripts.

The decision for Schiff to publish a selective portion of the 6,000 pages of transcripts comes after a recent public showdown with Director of National Intelligence Richard Grenell, who is also fighting to make all the transcripts public. In fact, Grenell reiterated in a letter Wednesday that if Schiff doesn't make the transcripts public then he will release them himself.

Interestingly, the committee voted unanimously in the fall of 2018, to make all the transcripts public after declassification, which has already been done.

"Schiff's planning to selectively leak to the liberal media what he wants, while keeping the truth from the American people," said one source, familiar with Schiff's plans.

Schiff's office did not immediately respond to an email for comment.

Comment: Following the standoff between Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA) and Acting DNI Richard Grenell, the House Intelligence Committee published all of the Russia investigation transcripts Thursday evening:

Interview Transcripts

Schiff blamed Trump for the delayed release, and claimed they say what they don't say - no surprise there:
"The transcripts released today richly detail evidence of the Trump campaign's efforts to invite, make use of, and cover up Russia's help in the 2016 presidential election," House Intelligence Committee chairperson Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA) said in a Thursday news release accompanying the documents.

"These transcripts should have been released long before now, but the White House held up their release to the public by refusing to allow the Intelligence Community to make redactions on the basis of classified information, rather than White House political interests. Only now, and during a deadly pandemic, has the President released his hold on this damning information and evidence," Schiff continued.

"Like the Ukraine investigation that would follow it, the investigation into the Trump campaign's effort to seek and utilize Russian help in 2016 and to obstruct justice, reveal a President who believes that he is above the law. But we are a country where the truth still matters and where right still matters. Our investigation into the Trump campaign, and the evidence we uncovered despite formidable obstruction, affirms that."
So what's actually in the transcripts?

And here's Trump being Trump in a call with with Fox News:

"Sleepy Joe was involved in this also, very much," Trump said. "And other people around President Obama were totally involved, and you'll see more and more things come out, I think. I know how it works."

"Comey's a sick man," Trump declared. "He's just a stupid guy. He's dumb as a rock, and he's a sick guy. There's something wrong with him.

"It's all coming out, and I love to watch it."

The Davos crowd and China's move away from cash in a post-COVID world

one dollar bills
There's been a concerted effort recently among the oligarchs I like to call The Davos Crowd to demonize cash. From hedge fund manager Ray Dalio pronouncing 'Cash is trash' earlier this year to the fear-mongering surrounding COVID-19 making people fearful of dealing in cash because it might be tainted the anti-cash rhetoric has been amped up to eleven.

And it's been no secret that the elite of the world want us to stop transacting in cash because it is something they can't track. Sweden has flirted with the cashless society while the European Union did away with large denomination bills the same way the U.S. has been phasing them out.

A few years ago, India created a huge stir removing the 500 and 1000 rupee note from circulation. All of these moves have been, nominally, in service of stamping out corruption. They are sold to the public as a way to punish criminals and money launderers.

But the reality is that the push for removing cash from society is to put all of our financial dealings in databases which gives authorities a record of everything you do. As governments around the world become increasingly bankrupt they naturally look for ways to improve tax compliance as well as create profiles of anyone they deem a threat to their continued existence.

Coronavirus may have been in Ireland last year - Taoiseach

Varadkar
© Irish TimesLeo Varadkar speaking in the Dรกil
Taoiseach Leo Varadkar has said it is possible that the coronavirus was already in Ireland last year or in January this year.

"We should not assume that it came here from Italy in late February just because the first confirmed case did so," he told the Dรกil.

Mr Varadkar said retrospective testing suggested the virus was circulation in France as far back as December last year, before it was even had a name or test.

This in some ways "was not surprising as France was well connected to China with dozens of flights every day and Ireland is very connected to France".

Comment: We can now add Ireland to the list of countries that have admitted that the coronavirus was in circulation months before and therefore the lockdown was all for nought:

UK health chiefs withholding evidence as to why mass coronavirus testing was abandoned

Greg Clark
Greg Clark, the chair of the Commons Science and Technology Committee
'The decision, explicitly, to reject the South Korean approach may be one of the most pivotal decisions made during this pandemic'

Health chiefs are refusing to disclose evidence to justify the controversial decision to abandon mass testing at the start of the pandemic, a senior MP has protested.

Greg Clark, the chair of the Commons Science and Technology Committee, attacked Public Health England (PHE) for twice ignoring his request to reveal it - warning an official sanction might follow.

"It is of crucial importance to be able to learn the lessons," Mr Clark said, at the beginning of a fresh evidence session.

"So it is very regrettable and concerning that this evidence is being withheld from the committee."

Comment: Just what are they hiding? What we do know is that when they were able to implement mass testing for the coronavirus, they CHOSE to not do so; is this because the virus had already infected much of the population, who were asymptomatic, as we know to be the case with France, Sweden, Ireland and Italy? And with such such data they would been unable to hystericize the population and enforce the unprecedented, tyrannical and destructive measures? Considering the incalculable destruction to the economy and civil liberties because of the lockdown, withholding evidence should be considered a heinous criminal offence.

Were 'conspiracy theorists' right? Bill Gates-supported Moderna Inc. prepares mid-stage trials for covid-19 vaccine

coronavirus vaccine
The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation supported drug developer, Moderna Inc. said on Thursday it expects mid-stage trials for its COVID-19 vaccine to begin shortly while late-stage trials are expected to begin early summer, as the drug developer accelerates its efforts to combat the pandemic.

The drug developer had previously said it expected mid-stage trials to begin in the current quarter, with the aim to start late-stage studies in the fall.

As FRN reported on May 5th:
Given that most recent reports confirm that Gates' backed beneficiary Moderna will be delivering the first untested vaccines, 'expedited due to the situation', it creates very serious questions of ulterior motives and a conflict of interest for forcing the UK into quarantine.

""Moderna Therapeutics' research has considerable potential for the development of an effective prevention intervention for HIV, and potentially other infectious diseases that disproportionately affect the world's poorest people." - Trevor Mundel, president of Global Health at the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation"
Moderna Inc.'s website recognizes the significant financial contributions made to its research, which it plans to capitalize on as a for-profit drug company. Indeed, shares of the drug developer jumped 14% to $55.97 before the bell.

Comment: With Dr. Faust's Fauci's blessing, Moderna is going ahead with mass production of this experimental DNA-editing vaccine. They don't give two hoots how the trials turn out - they've already ordered a BILLION of them to be made...

Let's not forget, it's not just Gates that's backing Moderna - Darpa has their fingers in them too and very little good can come out of it. See also:

British swamp creature meets American counterpart
As the start of returning to some kind of normal, the prime minister will join an international conference today, and describe the hunt for a vaccine as 'the most urgent shared endeavour of our lifetimes - it is humanity against the virus", adding "only a mass-produced vaccine will defeat it".

So once Boris Johnson has - by talking utter claptrap - finally declared himself firmly on the globalist Big Pharma enforced vaccination team, I really do think it's time to stop the data analysis paralysis and move on towards what active, thinking people can do to resist what's coming next.

It is a sad statement on BoJo that his opinion of ordinary people is so rock-bottom, he is sure they will believe that a coronavirus with a global death rate of 0.03% is about to become the agent fauchage of Homo sapiens. Even sadder is the reality that he is almost certainly correct.

DOJ drops case against Michael Flynn in wake of explosive memo release - UPDATE: Van Grack resigns from Flynn case

Flynn
The Justice Department on Thursday moved to drop its case against former National Security Adviser Michael Flynn, in a stunning development that comes after internal memos were released raising serious questions about the nature of the investigation that led to Flynn's late 2017 guilty plea of lying to the FBI.

The announcement came in a court filing "after a considered review of all the facts and circumstances of this case, including newly discovered and disclosed information," as the department put it. DOJ officials said they concluded that Flynn's interview by the FBI was "untethered to, and unjustified by, the FBI's counterintelligence investigation into Mr. Flynn" and that the interview was "conducted without any legitimate investigative basis."

The federal judge overseeing the case would have to make the final determination to dismiss it.

Comment:

UPDATE 07/05/2020: Brandon Van Grack has resigned from Flynn's and other government cases after being caught hiding Brady material:

Mr. Van Grack withdrew as counsel for the government in other cases as well.

His DOJ career may be over.

In February, Flynn's defense argued the government withheld evidence exculpatory to Flynn as a series of retaliatory actions against Fly

Flynn's lawyers accused Brandon Van Grack of suppressing evidence to protect "the prosecutors, his team, and the cadre of malfeasant FBI agents from the discovery of their negligence, crimes, and wrongs."

"Mr. Van Grack has suppressed evidence from the formation of the "Special Counsel Investigation" and likely even prior to it โ€” for the very purpose of putting Mr. Flynn in the unjust position he now occupies while protecting the prosecutors, his team, and the cadre of malfeasant FBI agents from the discovery of their negligence, crimes, and wrongs," Flynn's lawyer wrote.

On Tuesday it was reported Brandon Van Grack failed to produce all evidence including favorable evidence on General Flynn to his attorneys.

If there is any justice in this country, Brandon Van Grack would be referred to the state bar for disbarment then prosecuted for setting up Flynn and repeatedly lying to the court.
