Best of the Web: Omaha bar owner charged for killing rioter who attacked him and his business commits suicide

Jake Gardner
A Nebraska bar owner that killed a rioter who was attacking him and his business has committed suicide, a friend of Jake Gardner has confirmed to The Gateway Pundit.

The bar owner, Jake Gardner, was indicted by a grand jury on counts of manslaughter, use of a firearm in the commission of a felony, attempted first-degree assault and making terrorist threats after intense political pressure was placed on the city. The district attorney had originally ruled it was self defense.

On May 30, the 38-year-old veteran confronted a group of rioters outside one of the bars he owns in Omaha and was knocked to the ground.

"From there, he fired two warning shots and tried to get to his feet, prosecutors said. As he did, Gardner got into a fight with one man, James Scurlock, 22. The two scuffled before Gardner fired a shot that killed him," Yahoo News reports.

Best of the Web: Can't we put these power-mad clowns of the Johnson junta in a nice rest home?

Boris Johnson
Months ago, I predicted that we would all come to hate the narrow, bossed-about new life the Government wants to force us to live. I was wrong.

Most people have far too readily accepted limits to their lives which the world's tyrannies would once have hesitated to impose on their citizens.

Well, have you had enough yet? Because the Johnson Junta has only one tool in its box. That tool is restriction.

And it has only one aim, one that has never been achieved by any state in the history of the world - the total suppression of a coronavirus. Who would have thought that the rule of clowns would be so unfunny?

But it now looks as if this will go on for ever, unless we can somehow lead these people away to secluded rest homes where kindly nurses can indulge their wild power-fantasies with soothing repetitions of 'Yes, dear', cold compresses and cups of Ovaltine. It is certainly increasingly dangerous for them to be out and about.

Take the Health Secretary, Mr Matthew Hancock. I know I have laughed at him in the past as a sort of crazy prep-school headmaster raging at his tiny pupils. But for goodness sake, the man is a Cabinet Minister, and he has real power over us.

Comment: UK citizens are being relentlessly gaslit by their elected, and non-elected officials, everyday. Normal (and healthy) people there, and in dozens of other countries are being fed lies that are literally stealing the income and well-being of many - all to serve an agenda that will further make life intolerable - and people existing in open air prisons, courtesy of their governments. BoJo and his circle are just among the most obvious and stupid regarding how they're going about it.

Best of the Web: The elite's contrived Black Lives Matters war on the deplorables

Deplorable
Let's assume that Black Lives Matter is not a "social justice" movement, but a corporate-sponsored public relations vehicle that's being used to advance the agenda of elites? Is that too much of a stretch?

And let's say that the massive protests that erupted across the country were not random or spontaneous events as some people seem to think, but part of a broader strategy to control the headlines by shifting the dominant "narrative" to race. The death of George Floyd fits perfectly with this "broader strategy", as the incident took place 6 months before the general election, which (conveniently) gave the Democrats enough time to mount an effective attack on Donald Trump using an issue on which they feel he is particularly vulnerable. (Race)

Was it all a coincidence?

Maybe or maybe not. But it's certainly worth investigating, after all, we've just endured 3 and a half years of relentless fabrications connected to the Russiagate scam, so the idea that this latest headline-grabbing fiasco might be, well, fake, is certainly within the realm of possibility.

Best of the Web: A DARPA-funded implantable biochip to detect COVID-19 could hit markets by 2021

An experimental new vaccine developed jointly with the US government claims to be able to change human DNA and could be deployed as early as next year through a DARPA-funded, injectable biochip.

The most significant scientific discovery since gravity has been hiding in plain sight for nearly a decade and its destructive potential to humanity is so enormous that the biggest war machine on the planet immediately deployed its vast resources to possess and control it, financing its research and development through agencies like the National Institutes of Health (NIH), the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) and HHS' BARDA.

The revolutionary breakthrough came to a Canadian scientist named Derek Rossi in 2010 purely by accident. The now-retired Harvard professor claimed in an interview with the National Post that he found a way to "reprogram" the molecules that carry the genetic instructions for cell development in the human body, not to mention all biological lifeforms.

Comment: OK this is scary. Why coronavirus? It makes perfect sense to utilize this 'development' on the coronavirus - a health threat that is blown up into a global scare tactic but not widely dangerous - in order to bulldoze the global public into accepting this game-changing, gene-changing intrusion without our collective or individual consent. Are we ready to give up our humanness to a DARPA development and the fantasies of self-proclaimed 'human architects'?

Best of the Web: Van Morrison set to release anti-lockdown songs

Musician Van Morrison, best known for songs like "Brown Eyed Girl," "Domino" and "Wild Night," and for seminal albums "Moondance" and "Astral Weeks," is set to release three songs protesting the U.K. lockdown.

First up is "Born to Be Free," out Sept. 25, followed by "As I Walked Out" on Oct. 9, and "No More Lockdown" on Oct. 23.

Morrison's lyrics are straightforward. In "Born to Be Free," he sings: "The new normal, is not normal/It's no kind of normal at all/Everyone seems to have amnesia/Don't need the government cramping my style/Give them an inch, they take a mile."

Comment: Those sound like some pretty good tunes!

Best of the Web: Twitter expands QAnon censorship to include candidates, elected officials

Twitter said Thursday it will extend its restrictions on QAnon-linked accounts and content to political candidates and elected officials who promote the conspiracy theory, a pivot in the company's stance from August when it told Forbes it was "evaluating" an "expansion" of the new policy.

Key Facts

In July, Twitter cracked down on the conspiracy theory, banning more than 7,000 accounts and preventing QAnon content from appearing on sections of its site — but its enforcement policy was murky when it came to elected officials and candidates.

Forbes identified 15 candidates on Twitter — some with a huge following — that were verified on the platform and continued to promote the conspiracy theory with few restrictions.

In August, Twitter told Forbes it was considering a change to its QAnon enforcement policy to include elected officials.

Comment: It's been pretty clear from the get-go that QAnon was a clever psyop, designed to divert the attention and energy of many sincere people from true problems. Forbes, along with the major social media platforms, is playing its part in lending it quasi-credibility with mainstream reporting.

Best of the Web: Ben Swann: Vaccine study halted over "serious adverse side effects" - UPDATE: AstraZeneca jab showing adverse effects

ben swann reality check
In this episode of Reality Check, host Ben Swann looks into the recent AstraZeneca Covid vaccine study that had to pause the trial due to one participant coming down with serious side effects from the vaccine. The experimental vaccine is drawing scrutiny after a participant in clinical trials was diagnosed with transverse myelitis, a rare neurological condition associated with viral infections in which the spinal cord is inflamed.

Comment: See also: UPDATE 17/09/2020: An AstraZeneca vaccine volunteer developed severe complications after two doses:
A previously healthy 37-year-old woman was hospitalized this month after receiving two injections of the pharmaceutical giant's new vaccine, where it was determined she developed transverse myelitis, a rare neurological ailment caused by inflammation of the spine, according to an internal AstraZeneca safety report obtained by CNN.

Though the report states the woman, who has not been identified by name, had no adverse reaction after her first dose in early June, she began to experience neurological symptoms some two weeks after her second jab in August. During a jog on September 2, the volunteer "had a trip (not fall) with a jolt," the document says, while the next day she reported difficulties walking, weakness in her arms, impaired motor control over her hands, a headache and reduced feeling in her torso. She was hospitalized September 5 and diagnosed with "confirmed transverse myelitis" soon after.

In a previously released "participant information sheet", the company acknowledged that a volunteer had "developed unexplained neurological symptoms", however despite pausing its trial worldwide after the incident, AstraZeneca said the reaction was "considered unlikely to be associated with the vaccine or there was insufficient evidence to say for certain that the illnesses were or were not related to the vaccine." The company has since resumed trials in the UK and Brazil, but they remain on hold in the US until health authorities determine it is safe to continue, according to Moncef Slaoui, chief adviser to the US government's Covid-19 vaccine effort.

Best of the Web: New rules may allow Australian police to detain 'conspiracy theorists'

New rules passing in the Australian state of Victoria could see "conspiracy theorists" and those "suspected by health authorities of being likely to spread the virus" detained in quarantine centres, according to The Age.

The rules are amendments being added to the Omnibus (Emergency Measures) Bill, which was first passed back in April.

The proposed detention would last "for the period reasonably necessary to eliminate or reduce a serious risk to public health".

To translate that from bureaucrat into English: it means as for long as they want, or can get away with.

Legislation with this kind of vague verbiage is always a red flag, but then Victoria is currently over-flowing with warning signs of this kind.

VICTORIA - THE WORLD'S FASCIST TEST RUN?

Maybe you haven't been following exactly how bad things are getting in Australia - and most especially Victoria - but they have essentially aggressively seized their opportunity to create a fascist micro-state. A social Petri dish, in which to culture some tyranny.

They have declared both a "state of emergency" AND a "state of disaster" for a disease which has killed fewer than a thousand people in 9 months across the entire country.

For a sense of perspective, in 2018 over three times as many people died of influenza, and the same number again committed suicide.

As of right now Australia has just 16 cases of coronavirus classified as "severe".

Best of the Web: From blue shirts to brown: Australian police have become enforcement arm of scientific dictatorship

"On at least 3 or 4 occasions in the past week we've had to smash the windows of people in cars and pull them out of there so they could provide their details - because they weren't telling us where they were going; they weren't adhering to the chief health officer's guidelines, they weren't providing their name and their address."

Shane Patton, Victorian Chief Police Officer 04/08/2020
On Saturday 5th of September a national day of protest occurred in cities around Australia against the unnecessary and draconian lockdowns that have been occurring across the country and which are still occurring in Victoria. Similar protests have occurred in cities around the world, most especially in Europe.

These protests are a legitimate and rational response to despotic and often unconstitutional laws that unscientifically characterize every member of society as a bio-security risk to everyone else. They are also a protest against law enforcement bureaucracies that identify responsible, civic-minded citizens as criminals if they dare to question such laws or even worse, step out of their homes in defiance of the lockdown to register their dissent.

The Australian protests occurred peacefully and without incident in most places, including Brisbane where I participated. But it was not the case in Victoria where a State of Disaster has been declared due to the 'extraordinarily high' number of active Covid cases there.

On the eve of the nationwide protests, mainstream news reported on the harrowing state of affairs in Victoria which was suffering from hundreds of active cases but, as it turns out, had only 20 people in intensive care suffering from covid-related illnesses. This is in a state of 6.35 million people that has 58 metropolitan hospitals and 69 rural hospitals and District Health services.

Best of the Web: The pharma loaded US soldier - Part 1: Taking inventory of risks

veteran PTSD
Since 2001, the modern combatant has endured numerous deployments overseas to Afghanistan and Iraq after a decade of relative peace following the Persian Gulf War in 1990. Across all services, members have engaged in traumatic combat situations with enemy, friendly, and civilian casualties resulting in 13% of veterans diagnosed with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). [Citations referenced in this article are contained in the full report.]

Military personnel have returned from dangerous deployments to face both public scrutiny about disputed wars and personal struggles with recollections of harrowing ordeals. Military encounter barriers to therapeutic interventions, with a priority given to drug therapy. US military members are routinely taking up to 19 prescription medications to enhance performance and reduce stress. The collateral damage is that, when current active duty, reserve members, and the National Guard are included, 20 veterans die by suicide every day in the US.

Suicide Stats

The 2018 Department of Defense Suicide Report (DoDSER 2018) details 325 active duty suicides with an additional 1,375 suicide attempts by 1,219 unique individuals. The reserve component reported 81 suicides and the National Guard reported 135 suicides. The 2019 National Veterans Suicide Prevention Annual Report summarizes 6,139 veteran suicides in 2019. Veteran suicides have been increasing annually since 2006. The number of veteran suicides has exceeded 6,000 annually from 2008 to 2017. Military members and veterans have a higher risk of suicide than their civilian counterparts. Veterans ages 18-34 having the highest suicide rate among all military subgroups with an increase of 76% from 2005 to 2017.
