Reports from the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (UNOCHA) say 39 people have now lost their lives in flooding in the country since 05 July. Nineteen people died in flooding in the country in late June.
Since 07 July, flooding has affected the provinces of Uruzgan, Kandahar, Zabul, Paktia, Ghazni, Logar, Khost, Paktya, Nangarhar, Laghman, Kunar and Nuristan.
UNOCHA said that from 05 to 11 July, flash floods have caused 39 fatalities across the provinces of Uruzgan (20), Ghazni (6), Nuristan (7), Paktia (3) and Zabul (3). Nine of those killed were children, including six in Ghazni and three in Paktia provinces. Fourteen people have been injured.
Sichuan and Heilongjiang flooded on the same day, causing 4 deaths and 13 missing
A few days ago, flash floods broke out in Sichuan and Heilongjiang provinces of China, killing at least 4 people and leaving 13 missing.
Comprehensive land media reported on July 12 and 13 that at 6 a.m. on the 12th, the river near the Muzuo Hydropower Station in Muzuo Tibetan Township, Pingwu County, Mianyang, Sichuan swelled sharply, and flash floods occurred, causing traffic, electricity, and communications to be interrupted.
The publicity department of Pingwu County said on the 13th that the flash flood had caused 3 deaths and 5 missing, and a total of 109 people had been transferred.
Floods and landslides have affected wide areas of the Philippines since heavy rain began on 05 July 2022.
Authorities reported one person died and homes and buildings were destroyed after heavy rain caused a landslide in Abucay, Bataan Province on 09 July 2022.
Previously flooding was reported in Zamboanga del Sur province where 35,948 people were affected on 05 July. Around the same time over 1,206 people were affected by floods in Cebu and Negros Oriental provinces.
Flooding and landslides struck parts of in Ifugao, Benguet, and Mountain Provinces in Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR) from 07 July affecting 3,166 people, injuring 6 and damaging 1,048 houses.

Floods and landslides struck in West Seram Regency, Maluku Province, Indonesia from 05 July 2022. Indonesia's disaster management agency BNPB reported 6 fatalities after heavy rain caused a river to overflow which in turn triggered a landslide in Iha Village. One houses was destroyed and roads in the area severely damaged. At least six people evacuated their homes.
Heavy rainfall in the state of Gujarat in western India has caused severe flooding in at least 7 districts, affecting over 1 million people.
Gujarat authorities reported areas of Chhota Udaipur and Panchmahal districts recorded 400 to 550 mm of rain in 24 hours to 11 July.
India's Ministry of Home Affairs reported that as of 11 July, flooding occurred in 300 villages across the districts of Chhota Udaipur, Tapi, Navsari, Narmada, Ahmedabad, Panchmahal and Valsad, affecting 1,194,069 people.
Teams from India's National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), the Gujarat State Disaster Response Force (SDRF), Police and the Indian Coast Guard have been deployed to assist with rescues and evacuations.

Six people have been reportedly swept off by erosion in Fatoki area of Orile Agege, Lagos.
The victims were in two separate vehicles when the incident happened.
Three persons were in each vehicle when flood water overflowed an uncompleted drainage and submerged their vehicles.
It was learned that residents in the community reportedly warned the victims to desist from driving through the road, but they were adamant and continued till their vehicles were submerged in the flood.
The flood situation in Assam remained grim on Friday, with nearly nine lakh people in 11 districts of the state reeling under it. As the monsoon fury continued, the death toll surged to 190.
According to the daily flood report of the Assam State Disaster Management Authority (ASDMA), a total of 8,88,177 people are currently affected in Bajali, Cachar, Chirang, Dibrugarh, Hailakandi, Kamrup, Karimganj, Morigaon, Nagaon, Sivasagar and Tamulpur districts.
