Did the Pentagon spread false UFO stories? We're skeptical.

A recent article in the Wall Street Journal suggests that the Pentagon itself fueled much of the "mythology" surrounding UFOs. Citing current and former government sources, reporters Joel Schectman and Aruna Viswanatha write that a decades-long hazing ritual left "hundreds and hundreds" of Air Force personnel convinced that the Pentagon harbored a "secret alien project."

The report also alleges that an Air Force colonel intentionally stoked UFO speculation at a Nevada bar in the 1980s as cover for the development of the first stealth fighter. Similarly, their sources claim that there is a "terrestrial explanation" for a prominent incident involving UFOs and nuclear weapons.

While each of these points merits close attention, the Journal's reporting must also be scrutinized for what it omits.

Schectman and Viswanatha suggest that "MAGA skepticism about the 'deep state'" is motivating Republican members of Congress to investigate government involvement with UFOs. Yet they make no mention of Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) and Sen. Mike Rounds's (R-S.D.) bipartisan 64-page UAP Disclosure Act, which alleges that a secret government "legacy program" has recovered UFOs and "biological evidence of non-human intelligence."

US military reveals video evidence of encounter with disk shaped "UAP"

Remember when the US government essentially admitted to the existence of aliens and almost no one noticed? Launched in 2023, congressional hearings on government encounters with potential otherworldly phenomenon brought a series of witness testimonies into public focus that confirmed long time "conspiracy theories" that humans are not alone in the universe. Intel and military officials presented information under oath that the government had indeed encountered what they call "UAPs" (UFOs) and others claimed that non-human biological entities had been discovered along with recovered aircraft.

But, the world was still reeling from pandemic hysteria, the US was on the brink of a possible civil war between conservatives and crazed leftists, the Ukraine war was fomenting a potential world war between NATO and Russia, and America was being led by a puppet president with a brain made of broccoli. Everyone was rather distracted.

US fighter pilot claims he nearly collided with UFO in 'wildest experience' he's ever had

A former US combat fighter pilot claims a UFO encounter he had while zipping around in the sky at 30,000 feet was one of the "wildest experiences" he's had in his seasoned military career.

Maj. Ryan Bodenheimer, a former ace of the US Air Force Thunderbirds and F-15E combat fighter pilot, recounted on his YouTube channel earlier this month how he came close to almost colliding with a UFO shaped like a "perfect rectangle" while on a training mission in southern Wyoming.

Bodenheimer alleged that he was flying during the day at about 30,000 feet in the sky, at a speed of 400 knots (460 mph), when a "bright object" caught his attention off in the distance, "out of nowhere."

Newly released footage shows 'disc'-shaped UFO making abrupt turn over Hindu Kush mountains

UFO UAP
A set of forward-looking infrared (FLIR) clips - recorded by a U.S. Air Force reconnaissance platform - has been released that seems to show a disc-shaped object slipping through clouds over the mountainous Afghanistan-Pakistan frontier and executing a sudden turn without any visible heat plume.

The three short videos, time-stamped 11:13 UTC or around 4pm local time in Afghanistan - where it was filmed - on 23 November 2020 at 35° 02.91′ N, 71° 17.86′ E, were made public today by journalists Jeremy Corbell and George Knapp on their podcast WEAPONIZED.

Former Pentagon investigator warns of UFOs with characteristics "we could not duplicate today"

A former Pentagon Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena (UAP) investigator says he examined craft with "performance characteristics that we [the USA] could not duplicate today," yet has no idea what they are.

Tim Phillips, the former deputy director of the Pentagon's All-domain Anomaly Resolution Office (AARO), made the disclosure during an interview with New York Post journalist Steven Greenstreet. He told Greenstreet:
"A small percentage of the cases that have unusual flight characteristics and performance anomalies that we don't understand, and that's where you have this potentially disruptive technology or emerging technology that we need to understand."
Phillips highlighted two recurring — and still unexplained — types of UAP:
  1. Fiery orbs that appear over U.S. military ranges and seem to mask their presence
  2. Black triangular craft that manoeuvre with little noise or heat signature.

Hidden factions, conflicting narratives, and dark truths behind alleged non-human species on Earth

Countryside

It was a calm summer morning on the chalk downs south of Avebury, England, where Silbury Hill, Stonehenge and other ancient monuments still brood over the landscape.

On 6 July 2009, an off-duty Wiltshire police sergeant was driving west along the A4 past Silbury Hill — a 129-foot prehistoric chalk mound and UNESCO World Heritage landmark — when three figures in white coveralls appeared in a field opposite. Thinking they were forensic officers, he braked hard, climbed out, and walked toward them. The trio were crouched over the barley beside the so-called "Mayan" crop circle, an imprint that case-investigator Andy Russell later told Liberation Times was "definitely man-made."

Andy Russell recounts what happened next - according to the police sergeant, who has kept his identity secret to this day:
They [the three beings] seemed to be inspecting the crop. When he got to the edge of the field he heard what he believed to be a sound not dissimilar to static electricity. This crackling noise seemed to be running through the field and the crop was moving gently close to where the noise was moving. He felt the hair on his arms and back of his neck raise up. He shouted to the figures who at first ignored him, not glancing at him. When he tried to enter the field they looked up and began running.

He said: "They ran faster than any man I have ever seen. I'm no slouch but they were moving so fast. I looked away for a second and when I looked back they were gone. I then got scared. The noise was still around, but I got an uneasy feeling and headed for the car. For the rest of the day I had a pounding headache I couldn't shift."

A UFO that struck and damaged a US fighter jet is just one of a swarm of mystery objects buzzing around Air Force training ranges in Arizona, according to multiple reports.

One of the unidentified flying objects hit the clear bubble "canopy" over the head of a pilot in a $63 million F-16 Viper jet in January 2023, damaging it and temporarily grounding the plane, according to Federal Aviation Administration documents first reported by the War Zone.

The military jet was struck midair by "an orange-white UAS," or "uncrewed aerial system," the FAA documents said. The term refers to drones.

Three more UAS encounters were flagged a day later, the outlet reported.

Today MindMatters welcomes back John Carter to talk Cixin Liu's Three-Body Problem, science fiction in general, and to compare NHI theories. Do UAP represent extraterrestrials putting on a show to appear more advanced than actually are? Or super-advanced ultraterrestrials who may have their own weaknesses? What is the possible connection between tech and psi? And would humanity actually unite in the case of an ET threat, as Ronald Reagan so endearingly believed?

"What the hell is the executive branch doing?" — Rubio's stunned question sparked UFO whistleblower bombshells

Rubio/M Brown

IMMACULATE CONSTELLATION whistleblower Matthew Brown has revealed a bombshell claim: Current Secretary of State Marco Rubio, when a Senator, confronted Dr. Sean Kirkpatrick, then head of the Pentagon's Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena (UAP) office, about a secret 'legacy program' allegedly running for decades without Congressional oversight.

Brown told journalists Jeremy Corbell and George Knapp that he read the transcript of the exchange while serving in the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense for Intelligence and Security - the office to which the All-domain Anomaly Resolution Office (AARO), formerly led by Dr. Sean Kirkpatrick, reports on administrative matters.

Brown stated the transcript involved members of the Senate's Intelligence and Armed Services Committees, including Senators Marco Rubio, Kirsten Gillibrand, and Elizabeth Warren. According to Brown, it documented Senator Rubio pressing Dr. Kirkpatrick about a UAP legacy program, to which Kirkpatrick responded with vague answers and no clear denial.

Rubio, then the ranking Republican member of the Senate Intelligence Committee, asked, seemingly stunned:
"Well, what the hell is the Executive Branch doing? Have they been running this for 60 years without congressional oversight?"
The exchange left Brown convinced: a monumental UAP cover-up has been unfolding within the U.S. government, hidden from democratic oversight.
