Is Trump trolling the Democrats and RINOS?

I know there is a lot of angst and pearl-clutching in response to Trump's nominations of so many ardent Zionist supporters to his administration. Yet, not a single one of the nominees has a blood relationship with Israel. Not one holds or has held Israeli citizenship. So, on that count, Trump is doing better compared to Biden. I know, small consolation. Look on the bright side — Marco Rubio will never be called, "Netanyahu's lawyer," a title currently held by Antony Blinken.

Let me quote Senator John Fetterman (yes, the stroke guy):

Got to admit it. Fetterman nailed it.

Netanyahu aide leaks may have harmed hostage talks, court says

A mother whose son is being held hostage by Hamas in Gaza has accused Israel's government of "a cynical deception operation that is taken from dark regimes", after it emerged a government spokesperson had been arrested for allegedly leaking documents that may have undermined a ceasefire and hostage release deal.

It came after a court in Rishon LeZion said Eli Feldstein and three others were under investigation for feeding stories to European newspapers.

Israel Defense Forces (IDF) Radio also reported a fifth arrest in connection with the probe, said to be a major in the military's intelligence branch information security department, tasked with preventing and investigating leaks. The Haaretz newspaper said all unnamed suspects were from this unit.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has denied wrongdoing by his staff, but opposition figures and hostages' families have accused his government of sabotaging negotiations. The stories, given to Britain's Jewish Chronicle and Germany's tabloid Bild, were based on partial or false information and came at a crucial time for hostage negotiations.

Comment: It seems Israel is beginning to wake up and it is angry. Neti may have a justified domestic crisis on his hands.

EU must reconsider 'hare-brained' Russia sanctions - Orban

The EU must reconsider the sanctions it has placed on Russia in connection with the Ukraine conflict, and work to end hostilities as soon as possible, Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban has said.

Speaking on Kossuth Radio on Friday, Orban explained that the current economic problems within the bloc stem from Brussels' "hare-brained" decision to respond to the Ukraine conflict by placing restrictions on Moscow, which have driven up energy prices and overall inflation, hindering the EU's competitiveness.

The EU declared the elimination of its reliance on Russian energy as a key priority after the Ukraine conflict escalated in February 2022. Sanctions and the sabotage of the Nord Stream pipelines later that year led to a dramatic drop in Russia's gas supplies to the bloc, resulting in a spike in energy prices and soaring inflation.

Orban stated:
"Sanctions were a wrong, hare-brained answer to the [Ukraine conflict], the EU made a mistake... Energy prices must definitely be brought down. This means that the sanctions must be reconsidered, because the policy of sanctions... it will destroy the European economy."
He called for an "anti-bureaucratic rebellion" within the bloc so that decisions on EU policies will be made with the people's welfare in mind, both in regard to sanctions and to peace.

FBI seizes Polymarket CEO's phone, electronics after betting platform predicts Trump win

FBI agents raided the Manhattan apartment of Polymarket CEO Shayne Coplan early Wednesday — just a week after the election betting platform accurately predicted Donald Trump's stunning victory, The Post has learned.

The 26-year-old entrepreneur was roused from bed in his Soho pad at 6 a.m. by US law enforcement personnel who demanded he turn over his phone and other electronic devices, a source close to the matter told The Post.

It's "grand political theater at its worst," the source told The Post. "They could have asked his lawyer for any of these things. Instead, they staged a so-called raid so they can leak it to the media and use it for obvious political reasons."

Comment: Polymarket also accurately predicted Biden's exit from the race long before it was seriously discussed. It's called the 'wisdom of crowds.'

The Great 'Splainin' Cometh

The meltdown has gotten so heavy liberal bureaucrats are ready to form antigovernment militias and fretting about black helicopters — Max Blumenthal
In July 27, 1794, the non-insane members of the Convention, or national legislative body in Paris, suddenly turned on the rabid Jacobin leader Maximillian Robespierre and overthrew his ruling tyrannical bunch — who had killed 40,000 of their fellow countrymen in the paranoid orgy known as The Reign of Terror. The next day, Robespierre rode the tumbrel to his own appointment with "the national razor" and the Thermidorian Reaction was on!

By the way, in one of their many acts disordering French society, the Jacobins had changed the calendar, renamed all the months, and changed the weeks from seven to ten days (to eliminate Sundays as a holy day of rest in their anti-church crusade). Thus, Thermidor, the month of mid-summer. This was but a small part of their proto-communist agenda, but you see in it the flavor of their radical extremism.

The Woke Democrats of recent times were our Jacobins, and the election of November 5, 2024, marks the kick-off of America's Thermidorian Reaction. The crazies have been overthrown and our country awaits a restoration of norms in culture and law. No more sexualizing of children, no more flood of criminal mutts across the US border, no more furtive censorship of public speech, no more creative lawfare, no more women on the battlefield, no more "anti-racist" racism in the workplace, no more intel takeover of everyone's private life. . . you get the picture.

Rand Paul to target 'COVID cover-up' as head of Senate Homeland Security committee

Despite Covid-19 killing 1.2 million Americans and unleashing $18 trillion in economic damages on the US economy, the origins of the virus have yet to be officially disclosed to the American public by regulators, policymakers, and public health officials. Corporate mainstream media, Washington elite swamp creatures, intelligence agencies, and Big Tech unleashed a censorship cartel in a multi-year crusade on anyone who dared to mention a potential research lab leak in Wuhan, China. Under the Trump administration's second term, the origin of Covid is likely to be revealed to the American people.

In an exclusive interview, Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) told New York Post reporters he will take over the upper chamber's Homeland Security Committee in January after serving two years as the panel's top Republican. He explained that he would uncover the truth about Covid's origins.

"I chose to chair this committee over another because I believe that, for the health of our republic, Congress must stand up once again for its constitutional role," Paul told the Post in an interview Wednesday, adding, "This committee's mission of oversight and investigations is critical to Congress reasserting itself."

Trump Effect: Putin & Scholz Hold First Phone Call In Almost Two Years

Potential near-term Russia-Ukraine negotiations to end the war continue to move toward reality in the wake of Donald Trump's election win.

German Chancellor Olaf Scholz and Russian President Vladmir Putin are planning to hold their first phone call in almost two years on Friday.

Bloomberg was the first to report the development, citing several sources, and highlights the uncertainty felt in Europe concerning Ukraine policy over Trump's return to the White House. "Germany is Ukraine's second-biggest supporter after the US and has pledged billions of euros in additional aid," it notes.

Scholz first announced Sunday his desire to speak to Putin "soon" about achieving peace in Ukraine, bringing the war to an end. "Yes, I decided to talk to the president of Russia at the right time. But I'm a responsible politician, I don't do it alone," Scholz told a German broadcaster.

Musk Secretly Met With Iran's UN Ambassador, Raising Hopes Trump Will Keep Hawks At Bay

In the latest surprising development accompanying Donald Trump's return to the presidency, the New York Times has reported that Trump advisor Elon Musk quietly met with Iran's United Nations ambassador on Monday to discuss how the United States and Iran might ease tensions.

News of Musk's peace-seeking overture came after Trump caused widespread dismay among America-First conservatives and libertarians by nominating an assortment of anti-Iran hawks and zealous backers of the State of Israel to important foreign policy and national security positions. Those selectees included Sen. Marco Rubio for Secretary of State, Fox News host Pete Hegseth for Secretary of Defense, and New York Representative and campus speech-policer Elise Stefanik for UN ambassador.

Given Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's long-held ambition to enmesh America in a war with Iran, Trump's decision to surround himself with extreme advocates for Israel dampened hopes that he would make good on his campaign pledge to bring peace to a long-smoldering Middle East that's been ravaged by escalating and widening warfare since the Oct. 7 2023 Hamas invasion of southern Israel. However, the revelation of Musk's meeting with Iranian UN Ambassador Amir Saeid Iravani bolstered hopes of an earnest Trump pursuit of "peace through strength."

Tulsi Gabbard & the Trump Revolution

Gabbard is well positioned to become the most influential advisor to President Trump regarding the critical foreign policy and national security problems that will be faced by his administration.

President-elect Donald Trump has sent shockwaves through the national security establishment by appointing former Democratic congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard as his nominee for the position of director of national intelligence.

Social media is ablaze with criticism and condemnation of both the nomination and Gabbard, primarily over past statements she has made critical of U.S. policy regarding Venezuela, Syria, Ukraine, and Russia. Apparently, Gabbard, who serves as a lieutenant colonel in the U.S. Army Reserves and has served in combat in Iraq, is somehow deemed "un-American" for daring to speak out against bad policy.

It doesn't matter that history has shown her criticisms to be well-founded.

Or that the ability to make pragmatic, accurate analysis of complex national security problems free of partisan bias is exactly the trait one seeks in an intelligence officer, especially one entrusted with personally briefing the president of the United States.

'Netanyahu will want a lot from him': Can Trump reconcile Israel and Iran?

Trump explosions

The US president-elect has promised to end wars in the Middle East, but experts believe it will be no easy task.

Donald Trump's landslide victory has sent shockwaves through liberal circles in the US and Europe, but in many countries of the Middle East, his comeback has brought a glimpse of hope that wars could soon be over, economies restored, and stability returned.

Prior to winning the presidential race, the Republican candidate promised to end the war in Gaza. He vowed to bring the 101 hostages back, put a halt to the hostilities in Lebanon, and ensure that Iran and its proxies would not pose a threat to the region. When he returns to the White House, he will need to live up to the expectations.

Comment: The bigger the field of influence, the more things stay the same...and at the core, Israel remains the immovable object with Trump in the starring role of change-agent. Optics without optimism.
