The Violent Radicalization and Homegrown Terrorism Prevention Act (
H.R. 1955) passed by an overwhelming 404-6 in the House last October. However, the
Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee does not plan to consider the bill this year. Grassroots activists' calls seem to have moved the bill to a very slow track for the time being.
.
This means it can be snuck into a different bill later, "out of sight out of mind".
