a) Pyrolysis changes the carbon molecule structure found in the (supposedly) organic oil into aromatic and/or poly-aromatic chains that get trapped in body fat
b) Liquids must first be vaporized before any reaction with oxygen can take place. Vaporizing in these devices is slow by design so there is a greater release of volatile compounds and particulate in the un-burned 'vapor' which is inhaled. Much of that particulate matter is so small it can pass through the lung barrier into the blood stream and some through the blood/brain barrier
I smoke dry leaves rolled in paper, so I really have no moral opinion on Vaping.
