Bigfoot in Oregon? Strange sounds emanating from a swamp seem to point to the existence of Sasquatch, according to some locals. In a report updated on Jan. 25, 2013,The Oregonian claims the "eerie late-night serenades" can be heard at the Umatilla Indian Reservation east of Pendleton.

The roars and screams first heard last month have resulted in a flurry of phone calls to the tribal housing authority located near the swamp. The housing authority is home to approximately 1,500 people, but there have been only six reported incidents of the mysterious noise. Do a half dozen reports of strange sounds in a swamp prove the existence of Bigfoot in Oregon? Obviously not. However, that hasn't stopped speculation about the swamp's potential inhabitants from becoming national news.

Colleen Chance, a tribal housing authority employee, is so intrigued by the cries and shrieks that sometimes disturb the darkness at the Umatilla Indian Reservation that she keeps a recording of the sounds on her iPhone. However, when it comes to the identity of the creature, or creatures, making the sounds, she has decided to reserve judgement. "It's kind of spooky," she said. "I don't know what it is."

Although the recording is indeed spooky, it doesn't provide any evidence of Bigfoot in Oregon. After all, a confirmed audio recording of Bigfoot has never been proven to exist, so there isn't anything to compare Chance's iPhone recording with.
