LAURA KNIGHT-JADCZYK AND JOE QUINN
Since the 9/11 attacks, no book has provided a satisfactory answer as to WHY the attacks occurred and who was ultimately responsible for carrying them out - until now.
When they come knocking on my door, I now know that they know what I think of them...
No point hiding it anymore... FUCK THE NWO!
Just give it up delete your Facebook account and never go back. Its a drug and should be banned, but just like drugs it is controlled by the govt.
Interesting. Facebook may have absolutely no interest in tracking people - but we sure know there are others who do (like certain government agencies)....! And, I'd bet if they asked reeeally 'nicely' they'd be allowed all access.
unlike other companies, facebook really just has your best interests at heart, which is why you can't delete your account from their server
Your joking right?
Facebook has changed the world in both positive and negative ways. It has made the world a smaller place and has brought the world's citizens together in a way that no other technology has. Our world is changing whether we like it or not (and most of us do like it....viva la information age!). Privacy cannot mean what it used to in light of these changes. It just can't. In fact, it doesn't and it hasn't for a while. Get used to it.
Heh. I'd rather change what others are trying to do to me, especially if I don't like it and its wrong anyway, than simply 'getting used to it'. Hopefully there are some people out there who take umbrage at being treated like animals (cattle for example).
I hear you, Ruth. I'm in favor of effecting positive change. I, too, take umbrage at being treated like an animal (although I guess that I am one since I'm not a mineral or a vegetable but I get your meaning). Thing is, we just can't maintain the level of privacy that we took for granted before we entered this new digital age. So the digital kingdom tracks your marketing preferences via logarithm. Is that really so terrible, so threatening...so "wrong"? My bottom line is that unless you're willing to opt out, i.e., to turn away from the digital age and all that it entails, you must adapt.
Grant us the serenity to accept the things we cannot change, the courage to change the things we can and the wisdom to know the difference.
We are not just animals.
Although we have that aspect we are very different in so many wonderful ways.
We are made in Gods image.
Please keep that in mind next time you are treated like or referred to as an animal.
If they were just tracking us for our marketing preferences I wouldn't have a problem with it, but we all know this is building towards something much broader and more invasive.
I for one will NOT be sleepwalking "serenely" through the digital landscape with an, "Oh well, what can I do?".
That is behaving like an animal.
A sheep. ( No insult intended, you seem like a good person)
I will however be using my God given intuition discern light from dark and act accordingly.
Its that little voice inside that makes you take "umbrage" at being referred to as an animal.
Deep down you know it's not true.
Best wishes
This article reminded me to do something I've been meaning to do since I found out that Goldman Sachs, (the vampire squid wrapped around the face of humanity) earlier this year invested in Facebook.
That was the first thing that got me going.
Then I found out that some of my friends had been asked questions about my personality in some dumb-ass questionnaires they had taken part in.
I was informed of this by Facebook via email and if I wanted to know what my friends had said about me, I had to allow some company to have complete access to my information in perpetuity. (DENIED!!)
One of the questions was, "Would you say David is a reckless person?".
So Facebook try to build personality profiles even if like me you do not use Facebook very much or give much personal info.
That's just CREEPY.
Next on my delete list is my Google account.
"If they were just tracking us for our marketing preferences I wouldn't have a problem with it, but we all know this is building towards something much broader and more invasive."
This is how they do it, first they start small, once they slip that into our minds, we accept that, then a little further won´t be so outrageous and on it goes...
Just like hollywood movies propaganda, they drop the idea out there, but hey its a movie, nothing to worry about, then some report here and there, some debate some voices favouring the new thing, some benefits along the way and there they go with a new bill/technology etc...
And then if not what you read, observe or think.. you've got Big brother stalking you wherever you go if your out and about as well [Link][link to an article on sott] Getting pretty scary!
