Description: During a storm on June 18 I thought that the clouds looked cool so I decided to take a few pictures of them using my large versa phone. This is what I got when taking the pictures. It was there and in a blink of an eye it was gone. I don't have a clue what it was so that is why I am reporting this to your site. Maybe it isn't the only one of it's kind when it comes to unexplained sittings.

Description: Ali Nicolls and William Puckett set up two cameras to video the sky on June 14, 2009. The cameras were set in an easterly direction and were angled about 20 to 30 degrees above the horizon. Two infrared cameras were set up and footage was recorded on DVD for each camera. The camera (containing above footage) was an IGEN NV 20/20 night viewer scope with video output.

The camera is sensitive in the visual and near infrared. The spectral sensitivity ranges from about 400 microns to 1,000 microns. Visible light is approximately between 400 and 700 microns. The camera was set to capture footage at 15 frames/second (as opposed to the normal 30 frames/second) so that more ambient light could be captured. The other camera was a FLIR thermographics B2 infrared camera with video output. This camera has a spectral sensitivity in the "far" infrared from about 6,500 to 13,000 microns. The image above did not show up on the thermographics camera indicating that it likely was not an airplane or helicopter (no thermal signature). The above image also was not visible to the naked eye at any time. (We were watching the taping live on 2 TV sets each dedicated to one camera.)

US: Recent UFO sightings in and around the Los Angeles area

Looks like California hasn't been left off the list after all. Specifically, Los Angeles county, which has had its share of UFO sightings over the years. While most UFO reports have simple explainations, there are always a few that stand out, have multiple witnesses, and remain mysterious in nature. The only thing this examiner knows for sure, is there there a few types: witnesses adamant about a particular episode or sighting, die-hard believers and ruthless skeptics.

To each I hum My Wild Irish Rose (I recommend listening while you read). Paranormal stories are interesting; people love to read a good UFO story. Ufology is the longest running soap opera and here are the most recent UFO reports from the MUFON database that occurred.

England: Trebarwith Village, Cornwall - Large Group of Orange Lights Moving Erratically

Witness Statement: On my way home from work I noticed a large group of orange lights in the sky. As I drove up the road more lights seemed to come from the ground very quickly and joined them. All the lights were moving around erratically. I stopped the car by Upton Farm and got out. The lights were now behind me off towards Camelford. I took some photos which all came out in black and white! and then my camera wouldn't work! As I carried on watching the lights seemed to go upwards and disappeared. When I got home my camera still wasn't working but it was fine the next morning.

Witness Statement: My sons girlfriend noticed a cigar shaped red light approaching from the NE from the Winterhill direction at speed.

The object appeared to have light or sparks underneath.

My wife saw the same thing, it moved from front of house to rear.

My son rushed upstairs to tell me to come and look out of the window ( this being at the rear looking towards the marshes in the distance West towards Ellesmere Port. The three of us saw a red globe that moved slowly from west to east and then went from sight.

US: UFO Traffic Report: Triangle-shaped object hovers over Arizona desert

The UFO Traffic Report for Friday, June 19, 2009, includes six selected sightings over five states, according to witness statements filed in the past 48 hours with the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) database.

Today's stories include: three lights forming a triangle over Arizona with a photo; a triangle UFO over Colorado that hung around for three weeks before moving on; a cigar-shaped object over Oregon with a comparison video from YouTube; a circular object making a quick stop over California; a crescent shaped object and orbs in the Oregon skies - and a humanoid shape on the ground; and campers in Michigan reporting three unusual lights in the sky.

In other news: The J. Allen Hynek Center for UFO Studies (CUFOS) is making a special offer for all UFO Examiner readers. The International UFO Reporter - the CUFOS journal continuously published since 1976 - is available on one DVD as PDF files. Check this out. I will also be exploring these issues here in the future.

Please keep in mind that most UFO reports can be explained as something natural or manmade. If MUFON investigates and reports back on any of these cases, I will update this page.

Texas UFO 'ring' similar to Kings Dominion sighting

A Texas witness taking cloud photos on June 10 captured the outline of a circular object, according to witness testimony from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) database.

The photo uploaded with the MUFON report looks somewhat similar to a recent Virginia case where witness Denna Smith saw a black floating ring in the sky at the Kings Dominion theme park. The park says the ring is from a ride called Volcano, The Blast Coaster.

Kings Dominion is located in Doswell, VA, about 20 miles north of Richmond.

In both cases, the witness caught on camera what appears to be a perfect ring.

The following is the original testimony from the MUFON witness database and is unedited. A CNN report on the Virginia case is at the bottom of this page. The second video is more original video of the Virginia case.

Description: My son (11 yrs) saw strong lights through his window shutters and got down from his bed to the open window to see a rounded diamond shape object with 2 red lights and one green light, which then very quickly flew away.

Argentina: Strange Particle at Roggero Reservoir

An interesting story appeared last week in Argentina's Diario Popular concerning the alleged discovery of an "abnormal alloy" at the Los Robles Nature Preserve. Those of you who have been following Inexplicata on a regular basis will remember the visits on horseback performed by members of Argentina's Codigo OVNI group in response to sightings of UFOs and strange creatures.

The story, appearing in the 06.14.2009 issue of the paper, states that a minuscule portion of an alloy whose creation was "impossible to human technology" was collected by members of Codigo OVNI near the Roggero Reservoir in Moreno, which has become the epicenter of UFO activity in the Province of Buenos Aires. The newspaper quotes Codigo Ovni's Jorge Marrón as saying: "When we speak of UFOs, reference is being made to a set of experiences that some refute or project into the future. In this case, things are different. We have official certification of material that is not of this planet."

US: Strange Humming Noise Heard. Several Silver Objects Seen.

Location of Sighting: Kenmore, Washington (Suburb to the East of Seattle)

Description: I was sitting in my backyard laying in a lawn chair when I started hearing a strange humming noise. It went on for several minutes and I finally put down my book to see what it was. I looked up and it was so bright out that it was hard to focus. I finally saw what I thought was a helicopter in the distance and watched it go behind a tree. A few seconds later it came out on the other side of the tree and it appeared to be a small plane possibly pulling one of those advertising banners behind it. I continued to watch and to my surprise several other objects came out from behind the tree. They appeared to be some sort of aircraft that were flying in formation. There were approximately 10 to 15 objects. I know they were not birds because it was very sunny and I could see the metal shining in the sun. I have never seen multiple aircraft flying over suburbia in formation unless there was an air show nearby.
