For centuries throughout the world there have been reports of Bigfoot or Sasquatch like creatures. Over the last several decades, there have been casts of foot prints, bone and hair samples, voice recordings, photos, and videos of what my indeed be the Bigfoot creature.

In the 60's there was a video taken by Roger Patterson of a reported Bigfoot.

1967: Roger Patterson and Robert Gimlin reported that on October 20 they had captured a purported Sasquatch on film at Bluff Creek, California. This came to be known as the Patterson-Gimlin film, which is purported to be the best evidence of Bigfoot by many advocates.[citation needed] Many years later, Bob Heironimus, an acquaintance of Patterson's, claimed that he had worn an ape costume for the making of the film......(source: wikipedia)

...Patterson and Gimlin sought various experts to examine the film. Patterson claimed to have screened the film for unnamed technicians "in the special effects department at Universal Studios in Hollywood ... Their conclusion was: 'We could try (faking it), but we would have to create a completely new system of artificial muscles and find an actor who could be trained to walk like that. It might be done, but we would have to say that it would be almost impossible.'"[44] The authenticity of that quote has never been verified, this could be true, however; as no costume has ever been found that is similar to the creature in the film.

Similarly, Daegling writes that "Most acquaintances of Patterson volunteered that neither he nor Gimlin were clever enough to put something that detailed together"......(source)

An analysis of the video claims that there is muscle movement.

The video is controversial and shouldn't be included as definitive Bigfoot evidence. But there has amassed over the years more and more evidence that Sasquatch may indeed be lurking in the woods.

Now David Paulides of North American Bigfoot Search.com and the author of Tribal Bigfoot
has been busy collecting bone and hair samples of purported various Bigfoot. His research has led him into DNA evaluation of these samples and he reports on Coast to Cosast AM that results are very promising so far.

In fact, Paulides and highly respected DNA expert Dr. Melba S. Ketchum have found that some samples appear to have both human and animal characteristics. However, the research is ongoing.

Dr. Ketchum believes that very shortly she will have the final conclusions to the DNA testing. Then the results will be submitted for peer review in scientific journals and an announcement will be made.

Both Dr. Ketchum and Paulidies believe the research is very promising and that the DNA may indeed offer definitive DNA proof of an existence of a Bigfoot type of creature. Still, final DNA testing needs to be carefully concluded so that skeptics will not be able to attack the DNA findings as being based on faulty or sloppy science.
