I've believed the system of government was truth, and always participated to improve and/or support the 'system'. Now I know better.
Its time to teach others how things really work. How to think, let alone, how to think critically; how to perform research, encourage curiousity, and to consider consequences prior to implimenting new science, as well as, testing new science BEFORE implementing!
I am just begining not to trust others...trust must be earned - this is basic to survival and to living a better quality of life. Too bad it took me so long to figure this out...
Always giving those we meet the benefit of the doubt seems likely to be just what sociopaths want - after all, they work to instill doubts in non-sociopathic humans as a means of taking advantage of them.
I think the essence of humanity must be in some other quality.
Perhaps something like "trust but verify" would be a more functional approach.
I did appreciate Dr. Hawkings' sense of caution towards alien and I'm delighted he has some awareness of what evil can come from the human race. If would wonderful if he could connect that evil to psychopathic semi-humans within the population.

Where his brilliance becomes baseline speculation based on a screen of illusion that we tote as truth.
I think one must always give whom one meets the benefit of the doubt.
Is that not the essence of humanity.
