Another seven objects are said to have formed an arrow shape in the sky before landing. Mr Wilson, who says the incident occurred between 9.42pm and 10.05pm, said: "It was the same yellow as a street lamp. After about five minutes, its light turned off but I could still make out an object.
"It was oscillating as if it were out of control, but kept a perfect descent profile all the time. There were at least six of these objects that came down in the exact way. In the north-east sky, a group of UFOs made a sort of arrow shape in the sky then moved in strange patterns."
The amateur astrologer added there seemed to be a lot of aircraft activity afterwards.
Dave Sadler, of Congleton-based Unknown Phenomena Investigation Association, said he was willing to investigate.
He said: "When planes go behind the clouds, it is often misconceived that they have no lights on. It is very unusual for there to be a suggestion that a UFO has landed."
