A mystery UFO has been spotted in the skies over Burnham-On-Sea by a group of youngsters, who filmed it on a mobile phone. Jordan Gilroy and several friends watched the unidentified orange ball in the sky while they were outside Burnham Area Youth Centre on Saturday May 30th at 10.20pm.

Jordan told Burnham-On-Sea.com: "It was getting pretty dark and we noticed a strange orange blob in the sky. It got lower and brighter over time - it seemed like it was on fire. As it came into more focus, it was quite large in size and circular."

"It hovered over us, but made no noise or anything, so we ruled out it being any kind of aircraft. It hovered for a while, then drifted off until is was no longer in sight."

Jordan says he and several friends are still baffled by the sighting: "It shook me and my friends up for a couple days and we have had heated discussions on what it was. The video quality from my mobile phone was bad and didn't do it justice."

Several sightings of similar orange lights were reported in Cambridgeshire by The Daily Telegraph here during the same week. Burnham-On-Sea.com also reported on an object spotted over Brean, near Burnham, last summer.
